I am trying to root my new Huawei GR5(KII-L05), but both TWRP and Clockwork apparently don't have a custom rom for this model? Does anyone know how to root this model, or how to request a custom rom?
Thanks!

Hey thanks for the reply. I was able to root it manually, but bizarrely, even after attempting to flash the recovery, it wouldn't "stick", but if I use adb to load TWRP through my computer on an individual basis , it runs just fine, if not somewhat inconveniently.
Now I'm onto the next problem wherein I'm trying to install xposed on my Android 6.1 and I've got the right architecture version and the framework installer, but it just keeps bootlooping. It actually happened already once, when I had gotten the phone almost all set up and didn't think to make a backup. now I have a backup so I'm good for that, but does anyone know how to install xposed on this system and prevent bootlooping? I've become so used to my xposed tweaks that it's a sad thought to have to make do without them
Edit:
Well nevermind, it just took about half an hour to boot up for some reason. :/ I hope it doesn't do that every time.
Okay, do you know why flashing the rom doesn't work and I have to do it on an individual basis every time?
Thanks!

Hi
I accidentally deleted with TWPR the system of my OnePlus One and it seems I cannot install a new rom.
I downloaded gapps and the original Oneplus One rom (zip) file and also the android stock. None of them works. It seems I need a
different format/special rom do recover from this. To make things more complicated I have a Mac and most instructions I've found are for windows.
Is there any rom I can transfer after mounting and flash via TWPR? I don't know much about android development so I appreciate technical details in replies.
Thanks!
Exactly which zip files are you trying to flash? What are the filenames?

i assumed you fixed this since we have not heard back from you. Just an fyi - can you at least let people in your thread trying to help know you have been successful in doing what it is you were trying to do.
If not then simple download any rom transfer to your phone and flash it with TWRP and thats it. May I also suggest you dont use a toolkit since it will not give you the knowledge to fix your phone in the future
Indeed, i fixed it last night. Thank you very much.
It was too late for me to be able to do the captcha (actually, even now it's difficult).
I was using the Mac OnePlus One toolkit which is a real life safer. I already learned quite a bit but I was grateful to have the support of the toolkit. There are quite some hoops to jump through and I needed to use fastboot. Due to some reason I wasn't able to just flash a rom.
Cheers

Here's a hint. Fastboot IS how you flash a new room for the first time had you not used the tool kit you would have seen this and done it that way lol
I've been fortunate that I rarely hit a problem that I can't resolve but this one has me stumped. I'm running Android 4.4.2 Build Number K0T4H.I535VRUDNE1 under Safestrap 4.0. I created a new ROM slot and flashed a new ROM. When I booted it went into a boot loop (gets the splash screen, screen goes blank for a bit, then restarts). I've tried several different ROMs (Octo, Lineage, Superlite, Carbon) all do the same thing. Although this is a brand new ROM slot I tried the normal wipe/factory reset processes anyway - all to no avail. Found some posts with reference to permissions problems so ran Fix Permissions under TWRP but still no luck. Then I backed up the primary ROM slot and restored it to the new slot and the new copy booted just fine. I tried to update the new ROM slot with the new ROM - wipe/factory reset/flash - and was back to the boot loop.
This one has me stumped. Safestrap seems to be working fine since I can boot from the new slot with the copy of my current system installed there. I'm reluctant to try flashing the new ROM to the primary slot because I have a good working system there and would hate to mess that up, even though I know I have a good, working backup. That's the whole point of using Safestrap.
I'd appreciate any insights, thoughts, great inspirations that anyone might have.
RESOLVED thanks to suggestion by IBUPROPHEN. See below.

I don't use SafeStrap but, since this seems to be an issue regarding SafeStrap, your best bet is to post this question within the following SafeStrap thread for your device.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've installed multiple levels of Android under Safestrap before (quite awhile ago), but perhaps the ROMs I've tried this time are at too high a level. I thought of trying 5.0 or 6.0 ROMs but silly me didn't think Safestrap would have a problem with the current ROMs. I'll take a look at that thread, see if there is anything relevant already there and perhaps see if I can find a 5.0/6.0 ROM to test.
Thanks again...
Update: Looks like your suggestion hit the nail on the head. I can only use locked bootloader ROMs. There seems to be a Superliterom ROM available with some updated modules available. I'll give that a go. Many, many thanks for pointing me in the right direction.................
I wanted to flash my huawei p10 plus, and by mistake I put the rom of p10, when turning on the phone has no network and the installed version is ONYX d188, it turns on normal, but when I put the program does not install anything, but from the fastboot bat if you can install the twpr, but I can not install the rom vky that is the p10 plus. it loads all the files to me but when installing the recovery for reboot and installation does not do it, it says that it does not find them. Through the bat file, I do not install recovery or oeminfo or anything, but through fastboot, I can install the twpr, and the recovery, as I see the problem is in the oeminfo, is there any way to reinstall by fastboot?
Will there be any way to install the EMEA?
Can somebody help me?

I need help with my mtk6737m phone which i bricked in a really dumb way
I need help flashing it with SP Flash Tool which gives an error that says:
S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (0xFC0)
Here is how i bricked it.
Today i decided that i want to flash a custom recovery on my phone, so i did and it didnt work.
For some reason when i tried to boot to the custom recovery it didnt work, it went to the stock one
For some reason i got stuck in a boot animation too...
So then decided that it was a good idea to flash to complete stock rom back to my phone,
but chose the format all + download option, so that the changes the custom recovery made
were deleted. Well, so i thought...
Is there any way to fix my bricked phone? Its the only one I have :crying::crying::crying::crying:

There's really not much of anything on the forum regarding a Bricked H17.
The following links are probably the best you're going to be able to locate via a Google search.
The following is just a few guides (with downloads) for installing the Stock Firmware back to your device.
https://www.getdroidtips.com/stock-rom-on-homtom-ht17/
https://www.getdroidtips.com/install-official-stock-rom-on-homtom-ht17-pro/
https://romprovider.com/2018/02/install-official-firmware-homtom-ht17/
The following is just the download firmware from the HomTom website.
https://www.homtom.cc/DownFile
If your device is completely unresponsive (aka dead) then the only real option for you is either to return the item for a repair/replacement where you had purchased it or just to contact HomTom.

I'm sorry that I can't help you out any further than this...
I do wish you the best of luck!

Sorry, english is not my main language, its actually portuguese
I'll do my best to explain what happened from the beggining:
My homtom had some issues like, when you used the camera in any app it was dark, and on instagram stories, there were glitches on the screen, green and purple stuff started appearing in the screen and you couldnt see what was happening, so i decided to change my rom to a custom one.
I saw some tutorials..... and after watching them i tried to install TWRP so i could flash the custom rom..
After installing TWRP it wasnt working, when i tried "volume up + power" it went to the stock recovery.
So i thought it was a good idea to select format + download on SPFlashtool so it formatted the phone reseted all the changes i made...
After clicking, the phone immediately shut off and SpFlashtool said: S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (0xFC0).
I dont know what i did but somehow i am not able to do anything on my phone, I tried new drivers, older firmware, stock firmware, different cable, different port, charging, but the phone doesnt even light up.
I think there must be a way to access the phone's storage and install android all over again but, what i dont know is how to do that. So thats why im seeking help, but no one seems to understand or know how to do that....
I hope you understand me now and know of a solution, if not, I appreciate that you tried to help me
if your phone have removable bettey, try only format option after remove bettery and after formate complet, download only rom with bettery..

Sorry bro try format device without bettery and after format download rom with better...
I tried to install custom rom an root my new UMIDIGI ONE PRO Android 8.1 Oreo. I couldn't root the phone because it was impossible to mount data partition. No tutorial could help me. However I installed the rom, (I got from the official website of UMIDIGI), the phone is still not rooted, and the worse about all ist, THE FINGERPRINT FUNCTION IS MISSING FROM SETTINGS. And there is no installed "com.fingerprintauthentificationservice installed in the apps. I guess the installed rom doesn't include the fingerprint. Unfortunately, I apparently lost my backups trying to fix the problem with twrp. Could anyone help please. Is there any custom rom for UMIGIDI ONE PLUS sopporting the fingerprint or does anyone know how to fix the problem? I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance
I think that the only solution as of right now is to flash the stock rom.
And if you still need help will root and TWRP give me a heads up, maybe I'll make a post about the whole process.
It's quite tedious but it can be done, and it works great.
Thanks but I tried three difeerent stock rom versions without satisfaction. People said it just gone because I've formatted the whole flash memory (Formatt all + download).

Is there any other way? I've formatted the phone as well, and now the fingerprint does not show up anymore.
I unfortunetely don't know any other way
