The newer version of Netflix is not working on lineage Oreo 8.1
It says "This app isn't compatible with your device, you can download a compatible version from Netflix website"
And it directs me to download an older version of the app

Download DRM Info and check if your custom rom supports any form of Widevine, if it doesn't then report it as an issue to the maintainer
U can't use it in rooted device

Hi.
I'm using Pantech Vega Iron (A870L), which is unofficially supported MIUI V6.
In V5.5.29, GAPPS works fine with me, but after V5.6.X, if I flash GAPPS, Storage Full error comes out in Google Play Store.
Everyone experiences that problem, so almost all of us use V5.5.29 though it is old ;(
Is there any solution?

Hi,
That was MIUI patchrom's bug. Someone needs to patch the Downloads provider for Play Store can download and install apps. However, it breaks OTA update.

I've already used, but it works on 5.5.29 or lower versions only.
If I flash that patch in June (5.6.X) versions, DownloadUI goes to FC.

Xiaomi has done a "funny" commit on patchrom sources that prevents Downloads provider for being patched. If only someone can find a solution of this, then I would try MIUI myself... :/
EDIT: Temporary workaround (hope it works; to prevent Downloads provider for being updated) is to download the latest OTA update and do this:
1. Unzip the package.
2. Open META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script with text editor and remove DownloadsProvider from the script.
3. Zip the package and give a try.
The modded version of YouTube app will work on Android devices that have not installed Google System Base / GAPPS / Google Play Services.

We cannot log into google account if the Google Play Services are not installed on the device.
I just wanted to say that it doesn't work with play services. I'm not sure if that is intentional or a bug

I installed this on my car head unit, which has no google services, the normal youtube app wont work,
this one works , but the quality option only allow me to choose up to 360p, is there anyway to set it higher? the car unit capable play up to 1080p videos thru mx player
I've checked settings, the HD is enabled for both wifi and 3G, but still no HD options
a HD force enable version would be great, is it possible to make?
the car head unit android version is 4.1.1 by the way, I read somewhere that youtube app only allow higher quality option on version 4.4.2 or later, I wouldn't want to root and mod build.prop, it will be troublesome to fix the unit if something went wrong and bricked

I currently have Superman ROM on my Exynos (Korean) Galaxy S7. I tried downloading the Nougat Beta Testing app from the Galaxy store but I get the following error:
"com.samsung.android.voc.beta:2290:4002"
Is this because I have a custom ROM? Or is the beta testing available only to a select few people?

It is because the app detects that the system has been modified, thus preventing you from downloading nougat.

Thanks I just found out the stock Nougat firmware is not rootable, will probably just try a custom Rom based on Nougat

Yup that seems to do it, once I flashed stock FW, I got the option to download the beta testing app. However, when I opened the app, it kept giving me server busy message. I guess I will just have to wait

hi, use the one from the attachment. that's the latest version that works on rooted devices. remember to hide it with magisk hide. disable auto updates on google play otherwise it will install the latest version and "tap&pay" will be blocked because of the root.http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/59ba67c9719e0/SeqrPAY - 4.6.23 (844) (nodpi).apk

Are there some files, I've to delete after regularly uninstalling Glase App? Because with the SEQR App Version from the link above and active Magisk Hide, NFC does not work either. Device Nexus 5x with latest LOS
Google recently updated the AR Stickers app for the Pixel 2. Unfortunately, simply installing the latest APK will result in a Parsing Error.
The new version includes stickers for the Winter Olympics.
A workaround I've found to get them working is to do the following:
*pre-requisite: you must be rooted and be running Magisk with the latest Magisk manager*
1. Remove any Google Camera mod you're currently using
2. Download the latest GCam Magisk mod from the Essential Phone forum here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/essential-phone/themes/magisk-based-gcam-port-ar-sticker-t3730837
3. Install the module via the Magisk manager and reboot
4. Reinstall your chosen version of Google Camera. For me the version that works best on the Exynos S8 on Oreo is the S7 release from @miniuser123 which you can download here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/themes/google-camera-portrait-mode-t3736859
5. Win
I don't know if this will work on Nougat or if it will work on other devices but let everyone know below.
