Am I blind or Files can't connect to LAN shares (local computers) any more? This feature was under "Local" menu in EMUI 5 but is missing now in EMUI 8....
You could use Google Drive or Dropbox if you need to sync files.
On my Mate 9 Porsche Design it is the same as on Android 7. No problem connecting to my network share.
The integrated file manager of the Mate 9 definitely lacks this menu item after the phone is updated to Oreo. My second Mate 9 is still running Nougat and shows this feature …

Hmm mine is 10.0.1.304_EU
I managed to install Files (com.huawei.hidisk) from Mate 10, BUT, you need to remove the one in /cust/ so it requires root.
I will see if I can use apktool to change the package name in manifest.xml, this should allow you to install it along with the one in /cust, because it will not install if it finds that one.
On Mate 9 I have 10.0.1.322, Mate 10 has 10.0.1.323
Edit: Apk decompiles fine, recompiling is another story. I dont think this can be done easily xD.

Hi. I checked.
I installed files version 10.0.2.300, 10.0.1.333 and in all of them the network neighboard disappeared so I mange to install files vesrion 8.0.3.308 and see it appears again.
I think the network neighboard not included within the app by vesrion 10.x.x.x and more so you have to install the vesrion 8.x.x.x or 7.x.x.x .

Hi. I used Aptoide market to downgrade from vesrion 10.0.2.333 to 8.0.2.308. (Aptoide has an option to update system app)
when I dowload the app manually it shows app conflict error (in installation) and you can not find any option to remove app update in andoid setting for files.apk so I used Aptoide to downgrade form the mentioned vesrion and It work .

Just wanted to share this with those of you that might have the CoPilot Live 8 and have upgraded to the new stock ICS rom. I couldn't get CoPilot to run on it at first. I have found a work around to get it to work.
Simply go to settings->Display->Font Style and choose Helvetica S
Easy as that
This might hold true for other apps as well.

I have stock ICS, and CoPilot Live 9 and I can't get CoPilot to run, I tried your idea, but mine still won't run, have also tried uninstalling CoPilot, and reinstall and tried moving it to SD card, but no joy. The CoPilot splash screen pops up, but then the screen goes black and it freezes. Would be great If anyone can help.

No they won't as I had to pay to upgrade from v8 to v9.

depending on whether you bought it from market or from ALK's webstore. Here is the market link for the europe version

If you bought it from the webstore I can send you the apk for the application the maps are availble from a download link you recieved in the order confirmation.
i did a uninstall of the app. deleted the maps folder. reinstalled app downloaded the US version instead of the north american version which includes canada.
got it to work on my phone running 4.04. but still no love on my aunts acer tablet a200.
I did all Rochiwizz suggested but still not working on my 4.0.4.
Will try to clean also maps folders as snowwyy66 did.

DAT file is just in system...copy there where your build prop is.
apks - system/app or simply install
libs into system/lib folder.
change to rw/r/r

The only app of the set that gives fc on Note 10.1. On the other hand, on my sgs4 running tw 4.4.2 samy latest firmware ( I mean carotix CarHdrom v 19 or 19.1) everithing, including hword, seems to work flawlesly. The fact that Note 10.1 runs an older op suytem, pehaps has to do with failiure.

Note 8 is omnirom 4.4.2, HTC one is rooted stock 4.4.2

This pal managed to get Hword working on N8000 stock 4.1.2, but he has been pretty silent since then. I wonder if...

Well, my sgs4 5 inch screen ( tw and 4.4.2 android op sys), runs smootly hword. I did same prcedure on both devices, bt note 10.1 is a f..g idiot
and refuses to display hword. Seem that soem peolpe got it runnning on 10.1 , 4.1.2 tw . Show us ..please.

Sorry if not for others - but for me works on S4 and Note8...i do not use Word and PowerPoint that much - but Hcell works very nice - best one currently on Android.

Hi, I've tried installing the standalone APKs and the files from the Titanium Backup and all give a Forced Close on HWord. I also have the Note 10.1 (2012). Is anyone able to fix this?

The attached apk has been modified so that it won't check if you are actually using a Pixel device.
[Root Required]
1. Uninstall Google app updates to bring it back to factory version.
2. Delete the pre-installed Velvet app from system/priv-app.
3. Reboot
4. Place the modded apk in system/priv-app.
5. Reboot
To bring up Assistant : Long press the home button.

I am using this on my S7 Edge without xposed. Put apk in system/priv-app and reboot. After that long press home button to bring up assistant, it will work.
It's what I did but when I long press on home button, it's google on tap and not google assistant.

For me it doesn't work really good.

S7 is ARM64, so root is required.
It works for me, the only problem is when i open the settings of google assistant it crashes but still works as intended to be

A simple copy & paste of the APK will hardly work. The functionality of the apps does not only depend on APKs but also on framework, libraries, etc..
MIUI isn't just a skin for stock android: thus we can assume that from version 9 to version 10 many things have changed in the framework.
This is the reason why the apps do not work.
