flash then delete folder in recovery's file manager /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony
or choose reset if can get into APN setting( i can see the setting for one second when switch from 3g then LTE, then make the phone process crash)
or use "APN changer" app to get into the hidden setting, choose reset.
tested on a sprint galaxy s4 L720T CM13(6.01 Marshmallow), i only tested LTE data working.

Great that it is on here, but in the future, give credit to the person who created, and a link regarding the find.

Either that or you can:
1 - manually configure your phone, (get someone with the same operator as you and configure your phone likewise using "Settings" ->"wireless networks -> "Mobile Networks" -> "Access Points" )
or
2 - > just ask your operator to send a configuration SMS, the whole process should be automated..
Root Lg Optimus 3d Software Version V21g
I have updated my phone to the latest software version (V21g) but now I cannot re-root it, help please!
you should use megatron root to root v21g. search the forum it's around here somewhere.

Google wallet fix for SGS3 US variants VERIZON, AT&T, T-MOBILE, US Cellular, etc

now that the (US) Galaxy sIII forums are split up, I am posting this here as well...
however downloads and discussion in original thread in the at&t section
*The lib&nfc fix is intended touchwiz roms
For CM9/10,aokp, and any other aosp rom, just flash the desired version wallet as the libs and nfc apk are correct
latest Wallet version 1.5-r81-v4
where google wallet works
Google wallet (rom) compatibly list
to contribute here is the google wallet compatibly list thread
Ok, first a little background
basically what you are seeing if you try to install google wallet on at&t, tmo, etc, is you get stuck on "activating device"
If you dig a little further and ran a logcat, you will see that there it no "SMX detected"
What this means, when compiling the rom you need to enable SmartMX in the config headers located in the external/libnfc-nxp library. (thats why it works on CM9/10, they do this)
this is impossible for us because there is no source for samsung's TouchWiz. We got a break on the international sgs3 as the latest update has the secure element enabled...so does the sprint sgs3
well that got me thinking, and of course sprint's nfc libs are close enough to work without breaking anything
so this is how to do it. (btw, you need root)
1-make a nandroid! I am not responsible if you mess up your device
2-edit you build.prop using root explorer (when you press save, it creates a build.prop.bak)
do not use ES explorer, it does not save correctly, for that matter ONLY use root explorer! (or adb push/pull)
/system/build.prop
preferred
Code:
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
ro.product.name=yakju
ro.product.device=maguro
or
Code:
ro.product.model=htc_jewel
ro.product.name=htc_jewel
ro.product.device=htc_jewel
3-If you already have Wallet installed...open wallet, go to settings and "reset google wallet" (if it hangs at 99%, reboot and continue with steps)
4-boot to recovery and flash SGS3-TW-US_variants-lib&nfc-fix.zip (for ics touchwiz roms) and then wallet version com.google.android.apps.walletnfcrel.modaco.1.5-r81-v4.zip
(for CM9/10, I9300, aokp, aosp roms just flash the wallet zip)
5-reboot device, you will get "android is updating" (only this first boot)(all apps)
6-open google wallet and sign in. add your personal credit cards (you must add them from your desktop first if you have never used google checkout before)
7-(optional)if you get "error adding card try again later", wipe cache and davlik cache from recovery (only once! it sometimes takes hours, not minutes)
8-profit (hold on! your not done, continue on to steps 9 & 10)
9-after it is all up and running (meaning cards added), mount r/w in root explorer, delete the modded build.prop, then rename build.prop.bak to build.prop
10-make a new nandroid with working wallet and put it in a safe place in case you ever accidentally install a new ROM without resetting google wallet data.
still confused, here is a video of how to do it by moonfire711

notes*
-if you have used google wallet on another device, your prepaid card on the sgs3 is not the same...so balances will not carry over on the prepaid card prepaid is finished
-despite the new cloud-based authentication system, the app does not require the phone to have a data connection to make payments at NFC-equipped terminals
-really the key to this fix is the libs with the security element enabled.
-the build.prop edit is for enabling cards, once they are enabled it can be reverted
-the wallet apk has 3 features patched out. The first was a device check, the second patch was an operator check and the third patch was removing the root warning
-NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER RESTORE GOOGLE WALLET WITH TITANIUM BACKUP! (please click link on step 10)

[GUIDE] Enable Download Booster On Verizon - DETAIL INSTRUCTIONS

I basically took the instructions from XDA member "chronicaust" and made them simple with 1 single download link for the service files, and links to all apps needed. People were having trouble understanding the process in the original thread. So I hope this simplifies it and makes it clear for any new people. All I did was reorganize this process and hopefully make it easier for most people. The original instructions were confusing for me... I don't take credit for developing this at all!
Confirmed working on Verizon Retail Edition

Thank YOU!! I couldn't figure out with the other thread, this was simple and easy to follow, just a suggestion, when you mention root system folder, it would probably make it less confusing for others if you mention that it's not the actual folder called "root" under system.
Well not sure what I did wrong. Copied over the the two files into the framework folder. The phone froze and rebooted as expected. It then said optimizing about 400 apps. After that finished it just kept saying "Unfortunately, Verizon Login has stopped.", "NFC Service", "com.android.phone", "Google search", "Pica something..." and several others in an endless loop. :/
EDIT: Downloading the stock Verizon tar... What a pitty. I cannot access anything.

Yeah I changed the permissions for both. (Granted I ended up removing permissions?) The only thing I did that might be different from what you said is copy both files with the permissions already changed at the same time then it froze.

I'm not sure why so many people are obsessed with enabling this feature. People like me who don't have unlimited data don't care to piss it away with "boosting" my download speeds. Plus, I don't really download anything worth needing it anyways but all the power to the rest of you

I followed the steps and after it updated apps. My Wifi Tether notification icon has changed. It shows the USB one instead of the usual radio signal icon. and when I click on the notification, it takes me to the USB and Bluetooth tether screen. Whereas before, it took me right to the WIFI Tether screen.
When I backed up the files to change them back, I realized that I backed up the wrong files.
Stupid me.
Does anyone have the stock JAR and ODEX files? I'd rather have the convenience of tether than download booster.
Thanks in advance.

Omg! Thank you so much. I think I should back up my phone first before I do anything else.
Also one more question, is there a setting.odex in the framework folder? I think that's what I copied.

I followed all the way up to replacing services.jar and when I do replace it, it says unfortunately (a bunch of apps) has stopped. It causes me to have to do a battery pull, and when I do power it back on, it gets stuck on the Verizon logo screen. I've tried it a few times with both root explorer, efs file explorer, and both files at the same time/services.jar first. Every time I try, I have to restore my rom using safestrap. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Edit: I tried flashing the zip in the main thread and it's working so far without any hiccups.
@waleed300
Can you put a disclaimer on the OP that states that enabling this (if you have native hotspot enabled) will mess with your WiFi Hotspot toggle since it replaces the services.jar? Hotspot still works, but the running notification is incorrect. Just a thought....

If you want to fix it, you have to replace your services.jar with the stock one (this is how I fixed it with the help of Versatile1). And I had a question, when your mobile hotspot running notification was the correct one, clicking the running notification took you to the hotspot options but did long pressing the quicksetting still take you to the USB tether options? Was just wondering.
Download Booster not using LTE?
So I've had Download Booster enabled for a little while after following this post. I've noticed a couple of things:
1. When downloading large files, DB doesn't always appear and when it does appear, LTE is never used.
2. During the download, DB disappears.
I wasn't sure what the reason was for the odd behavior but was curious to see if anybody else has noticed it.
I would make a donation for a 1-click apk solution like towelroot.

I recommend everyone put the Flashfire AP zip and Rom Zip on your internal storage as the AP file is so large that it may not be read properly do too limitations of some SD Cards. When you select AP file in Firmware there should be 4 partitions that are selected. If not then you have a bad download or need to have AP file on internal storage

Dual speaker mod does not work it causes playback issues in web videos. Adaway host blocking works. But it can not be turned on and off without flashing back stock host file with adb. Secure folder does not work but Samsung pay and pass do as well as all safteynet checking apps
This is actually a nice rom except im having problems getting LTE to work. I have to go into NNRomControl and change it to GSM auto (PRL) or Global auto (PRL). If I leave it at LTE I cannot make phone calls, any suggestions?

working great here, went with stock kernel. s8 weather app has some fc issues after install only issue.
could you implement removal of gmail, google hangouts, google play movies, and google photos as manual debloat options in your aroma/updater script in next release.
also don't know if it is applicable, but maybe add an option to have ad free youtube option
Thanks for all your work,

after adjusting some of the nn mods without root. after reboot would get black screen, etc. had to reflash rom. that's why i went to stock then, because eng kernel drags and the stock one has no issues

Package disabler or adhell? or secure folder?

Wrong settings app when using verity-disabler

In order to be able to root my Galaxy S8+, after flashing the official ROM, I'm also flashing the no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0 zip file.
However, after doing so the regional settings of my phone somehow get messed up and I'm being shown new options in the Settings app (namely "T roaming" and "Service provider" containing some kt-specific settings) which should not appear in a DBT ROM - I believe they are from the South Korean base regional settings. When not using the no-verity-opt-encrypt zip, everything looks fine, but that doesn't allow me to use TWRP how I want to.
Does anyone know where this comes from or how I can fix it?
