Windows mobile freeze issue

Hi,
We are developing an application running in windows mobile devices to communicate with the bluetooth devices.
In some scenarios, the windows mobile will freeze while running the application in background.
Issues: 1) Backlight of windows mobile goes to off state and will not restore.
2) If you try to open a third party application or "Contacts" or "Email" error messages will display like " The file "MSContacts" cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or 1 component cannot be found. If the proglem persists, try reinstalling or restoring the file."
3) Sometimes the available Storage memory shows negative value.
If we close our application from running programs , back light will turn on automatically and everything works fine.
Our application is trying to open a BT connection with blue tooth device paired with the windows mobile. If the device is not present in the BT range, application will continuously trying to open a socket connection with the device. The above issue are reproducible if the bluetooth device is not in range for 1 hour or BT of the windows mobile is turned off and the application is running in the background for 1 hour.
I have tested with Tre0 750 , HTC 8900 and T Mobile Wing. ( WM-5)
and able to reproduce the issue in all these models.. Frequence is more in Treo 750.
Anyone has any suggestions?
Is there any issue in the windows mobile with Continuous Bluetooth Socket Open ?

Splashtop Issue (Port not reachable)

Not a tablet issue, must be a PC Splashtop remote server issue. I ask this here since Splashtop support is useless as they always point to router settings for connectivity from WAN and this is on the local LAN. I'm curious if any other Asus Transformer MyCloud users have the same issue.
My problem is that all of a sudden I am not able connect to use Splashtop remote on my PC. Whenever I try to start the desktop server I get the message "port not reachable" error. This is using all the default settings from Asus MyCloud and ASUS PC suite software from their site.
When I first installed a couple of weeks ago, I used to be able to be able to remote from my Transformer while on WiFi on my home LAN, and I also set up port forwarding on my router to access remotely over the internet. Everything worked great. But now the server suddenly cant reach port 6783 (probably 6784 and 6785 as well). I tried changing the ports, but every port I use is "Unreachable". I tried a local port scanner and the port is open. There is nothing set in windows firewall to block. It continues to fail even if I turn off the firewall. I reinstalled PC software and still no good.
I am running Win7 home. The only thing I can think of is that there was a Windows Update that may have caused a problem. Has this happened to anyone else?

I just tested on my TF to see if I can connect to my work computer to see if there was any problems (maybe the servers were down at SplashTop or something). Everything connected fine. I've added my computer manually and am using these settings on my tablet: Port # 6783, IP address set, password set, resolution 1280 x 800.
On my Win 7 Pro laptop, I'm using these settings: Start Splashtop Streamer (checked), Enable Internet Discovery (unchecked), redirect all sound to the client (checked), password set and confirmed, Port # 6783 applied, version # 1.5.0.1 Splashtop Streamer. Also, for Win 7 security settings I have: Network Firewall (On), Virus Protection (On), Spyware protection (On), UAC (On), Network Access Protection (Off) and I'm not running any additional security software.
So, do all your settings seem to be set correctly?
I'm convinced that its the Splashtop Streamer install on the PC. Every other network app is working fine, just this one shows "port is not reachable" no matter which port I set. Once that is solved I'm sure my TF will be able to discover it.
I'm going to try a second PC on my network just to confirm that its not a LAN issue.

[SOLVED] Syncing with Windows: Wifi OK, USB Tethering no longer OK

Hello,
I got a new smartphone running Android 12 through Evolution X — because the original ROM was stuck at Android 9.
Syncing an organizer app with Windows through USB tethering worked for a few days… and stopped working all of a sudden with its familiar "Connection error. Unable to connect. Check firewall settings on your computer."
"ipconfig" shows the USB tethering connection, and the IP + port # in Android match those used by the Windows appp.
Syncing through wifi works.
Exact same issue on another computer.
Disabling the firewall on the computer makes no difference.
Any idea where I could look? I wonder if I didn't enable/disable a feature by mistake.
Thank you.

Edit: Found it. I just had to sync once letting Windows use whatever IP it wanted, and then use it to assing the address manually.
