Galaxy s6 tmobile downgrade - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I am on nougat right now but I wanted to downgrade to mm so I could go back to unlimited hotspot. Will this brick my phone? I seen other models of the s6 can downgrade but no mention of the tmobile version

Brand New SM-g930fd .. Marshmallow can be rooted .. Can nougat yet?

I am about to buy a new S7 .. SM-G930FD ... and I think it should get an over the air upgrade to Nougat...?
Is this correct?
I am sure MM can be rooted ... can Nougat be rooted yet?
If it can be rooted could someone point me to the correct topic about hw to root Nougat on SM-g930FD
if it can not be rooted .. does anyone know about how long it takes before this is possible?
Thanks all

Nougat beta is only available for us/uk/singapore for ota afaik, however if you're rooted with twrp you should be able to install it now.
I am in Thailand ... I am pretty sure I will get the OTA. But, if not, I can root MM and load Nougat.
I think I want Nougat ... but I also don't want to lose root.
If I load the Beta Nougat from rooted MM ... I think I will probably lose root ...
I am kind of trying to decide which I would rather have Beta Nougat or rooted MM
Best would be rooted Nougat .. [emoji228]

Hello, im fairly new to android and wanted to root my s8+ but it turns out that I'm running oreo which I believe isn't possible to root. Is there any method for me to down grade from version 8.0 back to 7.0 or will the root work fine on oreo? My phone is the g955u snapdragon model. Thanks for helping out!
If you find a working root for your phone on Oreo, please post the link here. I'm looking for one as well.

The bootloader version in that ROM is version 5, "U5". If you can find a nougat or mallow ROM at version 5 or above then yes you can downgrade.

You can grab your official firmware from Sammobile and flash it using a PC with Odin. It's quite simple, just look it up on YouTube. :fingers-crossed:
