Anyone here using Greenify in order to get longer battery life?

Any other apps besides Juice Defender that work? Juice defender completely slowed down my phone crashing it and doing random restarts.
Battery conservation apps generally just use the battery faster. If you want to save battery turn off networks when you dont need them and underclock.

I'm using Green Power for a while now but lately I have been thinking that it might not be needed anymore.
What are your thoughts and what are you using to save battery.
Personally, I think they're a placebo effect, but I never gone in depth to do any real comparisons so I could be wrong. And the M8 has a good enough battery to where I don't consider needing a battery saver.

I ran Qualcomm's Battery Guru app customized for our CPU on my Rezound and now my M8, but ultimately decided that I would just run in standard powersave mode. My kernel lets me undervolt and overclock, so I get decent battery life coupled with fairly good performance without ruining any other battery software.
I use the built in batterysave in CleanROM combined with ART. Great combination.
I use the built-in Power Saver, along with Greenify.

greenify and wakelock detector here. tried all the battery savers on stock rom for heck of it and thought they drained my battery a little bit. Only one i know actually worked was deep sleep battery saver but i dont use xposed anymore so had to give that up

Same here. Greenify and wld are great. Very little resource use.

What ever for? [Imgur link, SFW; shows my battery stats this morning]
If I can get 20 hours to 30%, I can probably get 30 hours on a full charge. But I put my phone on the charger when I go to sleep. If I didn't, I'd be shooting for a 40 hour drain. That's kind of high expectations for a stock battery. Why not just charge it every time you go to bed?
I'm running the latest CleanROM in Dalvik mode, whatever kernel comes with it and zero battery saving apps. I do have the option ticked as you can see at the link where it cuts off your data when the screen is off (like Deep Sleep Battery Saver, and others). But the battery saver itself is off.
Hi there!
I rooted my nexus 5 recently and experiencing a sudden drain in battery..i used to get 14 to 15 hrs of backup before rooting and now only 10 to 11hrs of backup..I then installed a power saver app to reduce the CPU frequency to conserve the battery life and currently running at 1.2 Ghz..while it doees conserve the battery..I'm still curious why all of a sudden a battery drain and is there any other way to solve this without underclocking the cpu frequency?

And only then after trying the suggestions there post the images it asks for.
Now i am not saying you are lying but its very strange to hear rooting causing a battery drain. Power saver apps useless. Can you try unrooting to see if the problem goes away?
It could be one of the app you have in your device. Anyway to monitor what's causing the drainage. Install system monitor ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.systemmonitor.lite)
Also, Install Greenify, that should give you control to hibernate your apps (
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify).
Root itself cannot cause battery drain. It will be a coincidence
Did you install any mods after rooting?
I was wondering how good rooted users could make the battery life with apps like Greenify etc.
Are there any users here that use rooted apps to extend battery life? If so how is it?
I am not rooted.
It seems to me I have better battery life since I got rid of greenify, lux and tasker. I never meant to just remove them, it's just I was getting random reboots so factory reset and have only installed a small bunch of apps since.
Didn't expect better battery life especially without lux which can dim the screen brightness much more then stock. On greenify, my take is, without root it cannot really hibernate the apps, I think it stops them altogether, so it takes more for them to start again, hence more battery drain.

If the battery drain is right after you flashed a rom, it's normal... wait for a few days for it to settle

Hello, what you need is an investigation what's the real problem of your drain after it won't settle down after a few days like already mentioned.
I recommend to take a look at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 and see what you can find out
