hello mates right now i have a htc one x and i really want to make it retired and leave it to my sister.
in my country iphone 6 is very expensive and with that specs for me its an waste of money, 6+ is very big , 6 is perfect for me but have something like 1800 mah or 1900 mah battery my hox already have 1800 mah and its a pain.
im stuck between z3, g3, and m8. z3 have superior specs than rivals and epic battery life which is very important for me. if you ask why? im using my htc one x nearly 2 years. with this months 21. day it will be complete 2 year. i never used my phone without power saving. getting into clash of clans and collecting the resources drains %10 of my battery.
right now i wanna ask you guys how is the z3? still it didnt released in my country (im from turkey,the land of great taxes) so i dont have any idea about phone. i just saw some pictures, watch reviews and read some specs thats it
my hox have a wifi problem which is a design fault edit: also i send my phone to the guarantee like 4th time because of wifi problem
did z3 have any problems? i heard about glass cracking problem but it only showed up 0.6% of the z3's
my head little bit mixed between this amiral ships.
for the m8 im really scaring about battery which is 2600 mah
but i really love its design. also im really get used to sense ui after sense z3's ui looks bit ugly
anyway if you guys can guide me i will be very happy

Depends on what you want really.
One M8 is huge and has a smaller screen than both Z3 and G3.
Z3 and M8 have much better speakers than the G3.
Z3 and M8 are more premium design than G3.
G3 has higher res screen, but there's no point in having 1440p screens on a smartphone.
Z3 has far brighter screen than M8 or G3.
Z3 has far better battery life than M8 or G3.
G3 feels much better in the hand compared to M8 or Z3.
M8 has the better software compared to G3 and Z3. HTC are very good with updates as well.
One thing I will say, all three phones are very easy to drop. Z3 is slippery glass, G3 slippery plastic, M8 slippery metal. G3 and Z3 are much easier to hold though due to them being much smaller than the M8.
I'll try to sum up my personal impression:
The Z3 is a great phone. Playing 3D games, I had like 10% drain in one hour. The screen is very nice, it's slightly cold white balance is only noticable when you have a warm light source nearby and it can easily be corrected with apps or the built-in settings. The speakers are clear and headphone output is great. Performance is awesome too, I haven't noticed any lagging.
If you're interested in technical stuff: Cores 2 and 3 are sleeping most of the time even with the phone in use and all energy saviing disabled, which in my opinion means that low-level CPU control is quite good. Charging speed is 0.5% per minute on the stock 1.5A charger. Call quality is great, though I'm just sending my unit back as people can barely hear me when I use the built-in micropone. On the headset that came with it (Sony MH750, not noise cancelling), sound quality is great.
I like the stock UI, but if you like Sense, it's likely quite a bit different. Unlocking the bootloader means losing a few features at the moment, but if you really want Sense on it, I'm sure there will be a port coming sometime - you're not the only one.
I have had zero problems with WiFi at home and university (eduroam) so far, but there is at least one more thread where someone complains about WiFi-performance, so it's a definitive statement.
I can't say much about fragility. I have never used a phone without a cover / case, though things tend to fall down from my hands. I'll see how the Z3 holds up to that. I also take the phone out of my pocket before I sit down.
Now, about battery size: You seem to worry about the 2600 mAh M8 battery vs. 3100 mAh in the Z3. Let me tell you that the software has a much bigger impact on battery life than the hardware, especially with two devices as similar as the M8 and Z3 (hardware-wise). My old HTC Desire HD drew around 400 mA with the screen on and in use, the Z3 with it's much bigger screen and faster CPU takes around 260 mA. If you can get your hands on an M8, install something like "Battery Monitor" or "3C toolbox" and see if you can get a few readings while using the phone as you would normally (normal brightness etc.). The Sense UI might use more or less power than the Sony one, for example. So while it's true that the M8 has a smaller battery, it doesn't mean that the impact on runtime is the same as the difference in capacity.
I did not compare the Z3 to the M8 before buying it because I don't like Sense since 3.5, and because I really wanted to have a long battery life, so I can't compare it any further, sorry.

i never notices it have 2gb ram. i just check it you're right m8 have 2gb ram
so z3 have superior ram, camera, battery on m8 but what about cpu?
edit: also did z3 have heat problem like z2 have?
I own 2 G3's (F460S, D850) currently and here's my take:
The G3 has the best camera (OIS and laser for fast auto focusing , faster than any phone I've used)
The 2k screen is noticeably better (I had a Note 3 before this and you can tell the difference in resolution)
The speaker on the G3 is louder/better sounding than the Note 3 and S5 (I haven't tested it against the m8)
The G3 UI is very clean and simple without being too heavy.
The G3 is the size of the Z3 maybe a little smaller with a bigger screen.
I love my G3's but I'll probably get a Z3 as a backup phone however I don't think I'd use it as a primary.
I have had the d850 "ATT Brand" G3 for awhile now. Having had an HTC for my last 3 phones I was hesitant, but I've grown very fond of the G3. It is very simple u.I. great screen and battery life as well. Most features stock on G3 are what people were wanting on an AOSP ROM after rooting. I thought this was awesome! I'm coming from the HTC One and while the Boomsound speakers sounded great at first they deteriorated over time. The G3s speaker is excellent and with good quality tones or music the hi-fi shines and sounds great. Everyone will have different opinions or problems, likes/dislikes with any product. Actually they're all great devices I'd pick the one which best suits you. Good luck!
Is that an iPhone 6 ?......."LMFAO!!!!"… said my G3
I would say go for the M8 or the Z3. Both are excellent.
The M8 handles gaming better on the battery, the speakers on the M8 are far better than the Z3, so is headphone volume.
Screens are comparable, but Z3 is brighter, M8 is better quality (White balance etc) in my opinion.
Can't go far wrong with either. Z3 if you aren't gaming too much, M8 if speaker quality and gaming are important.
Camera is probably a little better on Z3 except with moving targets.

i didnt get the "m8 handles gaming better on battery" part. i love gaming but m8 have 2600 mah battery, z3 have 3100 mah battery also got 2 power saver modes (stamina, ultra stamina)
i read on websites they said m8 have the worst camera compared to its rivals. z3 have solid 20.7 mp but m8 have 4mp with a ultrapixel sensor.
also i heard boomsound is worse than beats?
anyway its an old smartphone compared to its rivals. first i was waiting for m9 but it will released at 2015 first quarter.its a long time and i cant continue with hox anymore

Got my Z3 on Friday. Been loving it so far. Battery seems very promising. I used to be at work and looking for a charger before I would leave. Now at that same point I have 50% battery....lol
I do play some game and that is what mainly makes my battery time less than most people on here but I still am very impressed by the amount I have left after like 14 hours.
Performance so far has been lag free for me. screens all seem to open and close right when I click.
looks are my favorite. It is just a sexy phone IMO

I have used 4k recording and my phone doesn't get hot. Keep in mind I had the SD805 version of the G3. Also while battery life isn't as good as Sony (I get 5hours SOT on a good day ) I can replace the battery in less than 20 seconds. I have 2 batteries since my phone is the Korean version and it comes with a spare battery and charger. This is why the battery life isn't a big deal. The biggest thing I want is a waterproof phone, I love my G3 and I plan to keep it but the waterproofing is what I like about Sony. My wife has a s5 and I hate the physical home button so I thought Sony would be a good choice.
My phone has 0 lag I uploaded a short video of the onscreen nav of my phone I'll post the link down below. Its very smooth (~48k on antutu is pretty good) and I'm running the stock ROM rooted with no performance mods. If I ran AOSP it would certainly be faster and get better battery life. Each has their own advantage I will eventually get Sony or another as a backup, I just don't want to go through the hassle of getting s lemon.
Here is the video (I use Nova launcher in case you were wondering):

performance is impressive as there are no additional pixels to push.

In the face of 2.5K screens used in other flagship phones this year, the choice to avoid bumping the M9's screen resolution is a surprise. In some respects this is a plus point; we're fast approaching a point of diminishing visual turns, and a resolution bump only increases the burden on a processor. The gains would have been slight, unless you plan on pressing your nose up to the glass for a closer inspection.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Refreshingly, the power doesn't come at the expense of overall clarity, either. Google and Motorola have attempted a similar trick with the Nexus 6, but at maximum volume the M9 is a clear front-runner in this area. The sound tech has a positive impact on call quality too, as the uppermost Boomsound speaker above the screen is used during calls and provides excellent results.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
The M9 is blessed with a fearsome arsenal of tech, but it has attracted some negative attention for generating excessive amounts of heat. It's true that when engaged in a particularly taxing activity the phone's casing becomes noticeably warm, but no more so than many of its cutting-edge rivals, and we suspect the reason it's more immediately obvious here is because the aluminium casing is channelling the heat more effectively. During our review we felt we pushed HTC's device to the limit, and it never got uncomfortably hot - something which was claimed in many early hands-on previews by other sites.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
With this much power to hand, HTC has clearly had to put measures in place to shackle this beast. Running at full pelt, the M9's internals would usually drain its 2840mAh in no time at all. To combat this, the phone attempts to strike a balance by giving you just enough power when you need it, but eases off the accelerator once things become too demanding. It's a problem every mobile maker faces, as battery technology simply isn't keeping pace with CPU evolution, and all that can be done is to cram bigger power cells into phones. While the M9 certainly isn't the most ravenous handset we've encountered, its stamina is hardly awe-inspiring. You'll almost certainly have to charge it every day if you intend to make the most of the Snapdragon 810 chipset's potential.

Games run very smoothly on the HTC One M9, a consequence of improving the processor while keeping the screen resolution the same as last year. The Boomsound speakers bring audio to life too, making this feel - at times - like a genuine console experience.

HTC's handset has the added advantage of expandability too; you can slot in a microSD card of up to 128GB in capacity. This will come as excellent news to those who want to use their phone as a multimedia powerhouse, although it should be noted that inserting a card containing a lot of content could impact the overall performance of the phone.

If you're willing to wait, I suggest waiting for the Note 5. (October/November).
If not, the M9 or the Note 4 are your best bets. The 5.0" M9 has a lower resolution and a slightly newer cpu/gpu, but the Note 4 has 5.7", 2K and an AMOLED screen. Especially the latter results in better colours and infinite contrast (black=black).

Dropping a .nomedia file in every folder you don't need to see in a media player excludes that folder, and the files and folders in it, from the indexing service. (You can still launch the files from the file explorer) This prevents the performance impact. I've got about 8.000 pdf files in one folder on my MicroSD, with the .nomedia file the folder is skipped and doesn't affect the device.

2k is not really a good thing as it wastes precious GPU power, but yea the screen overall is more gorgeous on the N4/S6
however there is one very imporant factor and that is GPU throttling, and the way HTC does it is better:
if you check the Anandtech reviews, the S6 has the exact gaming problem on every Samsung flagship, ie: jumping frame-rates, even though HTC throttles the GPU on the latest M9 base they do it with grace, it steadily slows down and eventually holds at the M8 speed (after 50 minutes), if you let it cool (for 2-5 minutes thanks to metal) it jumps back up and you start the cycle again, on the s6 the GPU throttling is constantly jumping up and down, which affects real world gaming:

The end performance actually ends up being quite similar to the One M8, but performance during the test is much higher than what we saw on the One M8.

The one major issue here that is visible from the FPS vs time graph is that Samsung continues to struggle with graceful throttling as the GPU attempts to always target maximum performance, which causes a strong rise and fall in frame rate as the GPU goes through periods of high and low clock speeds determined by the thermal governor.

With that said, there are still problems with Samsung Mobile’s drivers, as we see some pretty poor user experience from thermally throttled situations due to the oscillating behavior of GPU performance.

This is why i prefer gaming on HTC since the M8 because they figured out how to do gaming finally after years of mess on Android, they know how to do it the iPhone way, Samsung is all about brute but no care about actual real world experience, a jumpy frame rate like that will kill any gaming experience
i dont kow if that affects the Note series though, I think the Note surely has better thermal release than the SGS6 due to its size and no glass
In general the best gaming Android gamer is either the M8 or M9, especially when we take audio into account

/You have given me so many options that its difficult for me to choose I am confused. You are having quite deap knowledge in this stuff can you tell me Is Motto Maxx a good option or not?
If the priority is gaming, I'd say go with a Nexus 6. Bigass screen, front-facing speakers. What more could you want?
Best eyecandy gaming experience -> S6 antutu 65k (but the battery is its dissea)
Best earcandy gaming experience -> m9 antutu 57k
Gaming over longer time -> note 4 antutu 41k
I dont know what to buy :/ i use s4 atm and playing heavy games like mc5 is crap compared to s6. But therefore battery is crap in s6.
Conclusion: be patient for note 5 to arrive this september. Ill probably still buy the s6 in two weeks because of its performance. And then later the note 5

[REVIEW] uleFone Be Touch: 5,5" IPS, 4G, 64bits octa-core CPU, 3GB RAM, fingerprint
uleFone is one of new Chinese brands making good things lately. And in the same way some players are doing, they also wanted to present something interesting before the summer period.
But they want to be like "the others", so they have come with an amazing smartphone which they have presented as their flagship device for the season: the uleFone Be Touch
Something very interesting, since this brand is very young. They’ve worked designing and making parts for other brands during years, but it wasn’t until 2014 they moved to manufacture their own smartphones.
When I opened the box my first though was about that size "It's huge!". But then, I started it and as Megan Trainor sings... "It's all about that bass"
Only that smartphone is not fat at all, it's very thin and light. It's even thinner than other thin devices like the Siswoo Cooper i7 I reviewed some weeks ago.
But let's go step by step.
Design and package
The box is quite standard, white, same shape that we can typically find for the iPhones or Samsung devices, for example. With a sticker showing some info and then most of the specifications on the bottom part.
Once opened, we can see the amazing Be Touch with its huge screen inside a soft bag and on the lower level, we have all the rest which is USB cable, charger (attention 1.5A! more than common units), headphones and quick start guide in English and other European languages... it's not something very necessary (we all know how to start the phone and take a picture) but it's really the first time I see it. And not one single item in Chinese. Sincerely that feels like more quality.
I live you that video with those impressions and something more:
Summarizing, on the front we have the 5,5" screen. On the top, frontal camera for selfies...with flash!!, light and proximity sensor. And on the bottom we have the navigation buttons: menu, back and home... which integrates a great surprise in form of fingerprint reader. Of all that I will talk more in detail.
On the left side we will find the lock/power and the volume buttons.
Going to the bottom side, just the micro and speaker (very iPhone-like). We have the holes for micro USB and jack exit on the top side, and nothing at all on the right side.
If we flip the phone, on the rear part we will see the main camera (using the Sony IMX214 4th gen sensor) with dual led flash and on the middle the uleFone logo.
All that within very tight dimensions of 158.1x77.4x8.6mm and another advantage is that it fits very well on the hand. It’s true that it’s big, but it doesn’t slip.
Hardware specifications
When you put the mark "flagship" over a product, you really want to mean that device is your top-range. Especially when you are a new player on the field and you want to set up what is your quality level and left aside your “Chinese stamp mark”. The Be Touch is much more than 64 bit octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM…So here it is what hides inside this thin beast.

Regarding the connectivity, needless to say it fully covers all our needs. The WiFi connects and transfers very fast, probably the improvements from Lollipop help, because I haven’t had any troubles of losing signal (as it happened with other devices). I have tried the BT with headphones (Digicare DO) and also with a BT keyboard, working both very well, quick pairing.
The SIM (standard and micro sizes) are located just next to the microSD slot, so sincerely a little bit hard to introduce the card, but once done, the networks are fast detected and connected, so I could use 3G/4G and also make calls very successfully. The voice is very clear and with enough volume.
Display
This is one of the most attracting points of this device. Its 5,5” IPS OGS screen with Corning Gorilla Glass of 3rd generation offers a resolution of 1280x720ppp. I can say that up to the date it’s the best display I’ve seen on a not first brand phone. The quality of the colors and the bright is amazing.
It comes with the dynamic control (adaptive brightness), so it automatically adapts to the lighting conditions to increase or reduce the bright level, making perfectly viewable even under sunshine.
Following the last trends, it also have the “Off-Screen Gesture” function, each time more common and sincerely very useful, since we can program several applications or functions to start without having to unlock the phone: camera, radio, calendar,.. any of the installed apps can be started by drawing a pattern on the locked screen.
Camera
We arrive to one of the most critical points of each review, since normally the manufacturers include camera sensors with a high number of megapixels but not offering the expected quality. uleFone advised they wanted to make the difference and present a great device, so they equipped the Be Touch with a main camera of 13Mpx with a Sony IMX214 4th generation sensor. Apparently this should be a warranty, but we’ve seen many other phones with good lenses giving poor results.
Fortunately this is not (so much) the case with the Be Touch. Until now this is the best (Chinese) one on the quality of pictures and videos. There is still the point to improve when there are poor light conditions. But I repeat the quality even though is much better than with other smartphones.
Here below some examples:
Another surprise comes with the front camera, the chosen sensor is OV5648 from Omni Vision, a high-performance, low-cost 5-megapixel CameraChip sensor for smartphones and tablets, which uses the latest 1.4-µm OmniBSI+ pixel architecture. But what surprised me was to find a led flash next to this camera. No questions about the selfies fever we’re immersed on, so the flash is doubtless a way to increase the quality of our portraits.
Regarding the videos, you can see this FullHD sample recorded outdoors, and even using zoom the quality is really good.
Software
This model comes directly with Android 5.0 Lollipop, so very good news since we have the almost last version of Android since the beginning, with all the improvements already mentioned on different articles like the better battery consumption, more secure environment since first boot, RAM management, WiFi connectivity issues solved, OK Google,…
By the other hand, need to say, that no Chinese stuff (apps) were installed on the phone, very clear Android [Símbolo] Only an icon called “ulefone” which brings us to the manufacturer website.
Another of the key points on the Be Touch is the fingerprint scanner, integrated on the “Home” button. It works really fast (some people say it’s even faster than the TouchID on the iPhone 6), and the way it register new fingers is different from other sensors where we had to slide our fingers. On this case we just have to put the desired finger repeatedly on the sensor until we have the full print marked on red on the screen. Meaning it has been fully recorded.
My suggestion is to place the finger on different positions, so it catches it from different angles and completes the task faster. We can register up to 5 fingers, which is a significant improvement against other devices allowing only 3 prints.
Due to the size of its screen and its powerful hardware, the Be Touch is perfect for entertainment. I installed Kodi (formerly known as XBMC), so I can play FullHD movies and TV shows directly from my NAS over the LAN, without any lags, smoothly and with very high quality of image and sound.
Normally I just try some games like Asphalt or Fifa (no need to say they go like lightning), however, bearing in mind the fingerprint sensor I decided to install my company’s software and use it as mobile office.
Yes, the BYOD is a real trend all around us I installed MaaS360, and configured mail, agenda and other tools. Once again it’s not only the speed of everything I try, jumping quickly from one task to another, but also the size of the screen makes this device very comfortable to read emails, see (and edit) Office documents, use CRM tools… really comfortable, especially when I compared to y iPhone 5’s tiny screen.
Autonomy
As stated above on the specifications table, the Be Touch is equipped with a removable battery of 2.550mAh, more than enough for a full day with average use: calls, wifi browsing, emails, whatsapp, pictures, social networking, Office documents editing… and all that thinking that the use of corporate tools and apps consume more battery.
Conclusions
A couple of months ago I saw the announcement of the Xiaomi MiNote and I really liked it. I though it was a real alternative to first brands smartphones with quality enough and a restrained price. I sincerely didn’t know so much about uleFone yet, and others brand had showed important improvements but still not at a comparable level to first brands.
I’m not meaning that the Be Touch has the same quality of the last Samsung Galaxy S6, but honestly it’s getting close. uleFone should still improve the management of taking pictures with dark conditions and polish some other minor details.
When I opened the box, I presumed that phone was very powerful but maybe too big for a daily use and still had to test the camera results, I take pictures every day. After using it, I can say that it’s a very comfortable device, not heavy at all (just 160gr) and since it’s very thin, it fits very well on the pocket.
I completely recommend it if you are looking for a new smartphone with a lot of possibilities and for a moderated price, around 205€ with Etotalk.com

Just to complete the info from the review above, here some pictures putting the Be Touch (in black) together with an iPhone 6 (white)
Couple of questions.
1. How about the audio quality, through speaker, through headphone?
2. How much heat is generated by the phone when watching youtube or when playing games?
And Lastly, Can you upload some full size images? Thanks for a great review.:good:
Hi, answering your questions:
The sound is very good in both cases. For example, with the Elephone P3000S I clearly notice a lack of volume that I don't appreciate here, I mean watching movies, listening music,... more than enough. In addition the speaker is on the side, not in the bottom, so it always deliver at maximum
Regarding the temperature. After a couple of hours watching Gotham (I finished the 1st season recently hehe) chapters on the Be Touch, it was just a little hot, but for example the iPhone5 gets much much hotter when using 3G for long.
About the pictures... I have published the same review in here -> http://dabarsocialmarketing.blogspot.ie/2015/05/ulefone-be-touch-simply-amazing-with-64.html
I hope the pictures are bigger in size at least if you download them. I can tell you the quality is really good. Some friends viewed those pictures and asked me if they were the samples included on the phone or real pictures taken by me... that's why I take one of my dog (the same that appears on the video sample).
Until now it's from far, the best chinese phone I've used.
Cheers

Thanks again. But I think those captured pictures are softer in the edges, sharper in the center. May be a software prob.
What is the data rate of video files? (In different resolutions)
My question is actually what kind of sd card to buy for that phone?
Doesn't it make sense to go for the expensive ones with higher speeds or 10mb/s is enough?

Hi, bearing in mind that it records video on FullHD, I wouldn't take a slow card. Personally I always take class 10 at least. If you can take a UHS class it will be better. Think that it's not only the video recording, at least I use to put a lot of stuff on the SD, so accessing apps, taking pictures, games, videos,... everything falls on the SD card, so the fastest the better.
For me, the class 10 is working well.

Will this phone work with USA 4G/LTE? Specifically AT&T? I've heard the wifi range on it is pretty poor, can you confirm that?

yes this phone works with AT&T but no LTE does not work. as far as the wireless connection, this is true, it's not as strong as a g3 or an S five or an iPhone 6 but it isn't horrible. the build quality is very nice. it's worth what they're asking for it.

KEP oNe
Presentation:
Open since January 2015, the Kepphones, is a Portuguese company dedicated to the commercialization of mobile phones and accessories, on July 16 decided it was time to commercialize theire own brand equipment, was by that time was officially launched Kep oNe.
The Kep oNe, appears on the market as a with something different from what we used to see in most Chinese brands at a time when every new equipment announces more cores and more RAM and other specs we need research to understand what they are for, Kep oNe presents itself as a good solution though less powerful than the competition coming from the east.
Unboxing and Equipment Description:
We received the phone within a normal black cardboard box, labeled with the brand and model on the back of the box we find the specifications of the equipment, all very simple and efficient.
The Kepphones sent for testing a unit of gray, and there is also a white version.
The Kep oNe have a fairly minimalist aspect, the touch buttons are not backlit, they stand out from the remaining screen through a simple silver design that shows your location and function, making them very discrete, integrating them well in front of the phone. The LED notifications, lying at the top, with the front chamber of 5mpx, and the proximity sensor.
All around the phone, we find one of the same gray plastic rim that we have in front, despite the entire interior of the phone is made of aluminum. The frame is plastic, malleable giving some extra protection if dropped.
On the right side we find the power and volume buttons, which are the same gray color as the rest of the equipment.
On the bottom, we'll just find hole for the Micro.
At the top we can find the audio jack, and a Micro USB port, used to upload the Kep oNe as well as for connecting to a PC and transfer data.
http://i.imgur.com/sBnDwKJ.jpg?1[/ img]
The back cover of this mobile phone, has a very soft touch coating, making it very comfortable to be held for extended periods of time. In it we have the brand of equipment, in addition to the 13,3mpx and flash LED Camera, we can also find the loud speaker, although the case present a double grid which would indicate the presence of two speakers actually only have one.
Along with the phone Kepphones provides a high efficiency charger, able to charge the monstrous battery 6050mAh of Kep oNe in less than 2:30 a.m., and to put in about 70% in just over 30 minutes. In addition, it also sent a pair of headphones, and always useful silicone case to protect your phone. It should be noted that the equipment is already with a protective film of the pre placed on the screen.
[Img]http://i.imgur.com/WRE1Lvj.jpg?1
Operating System
The Kep oNe comes with pre-installed Lilipop android 5.1, and with a totally stock Android firmware without any pre-installed useless applications, or fancy icons, all very simple and professional.
http://i.imgur.com/RwZB949.png?1[/ img]
screen
The 5.5 "screen equipping Kep oNe is IPS, and thus excellent viewing angles without changing the colors or distortion, has a resolution of 720x1280p, the colors are vivid, and quite nice.
Its use in brightly enviroment or direct sunlight on the screen is not affected, since the screen brightness fix this easily, so you can easily see what's on the screen. But in dark environments, the minimum brightness value is still quite high, which means that becomes something uncomfortable to use for long periods of time at night, for web pages display have to install a browser that allows you to turn night mode, contrary case is tiring to your eyes.
Performance
The Kep oNe has a very fluid navigation not finding any difficulty in the transition between windows and menus.
The benchmark is an important point for many people when deciding which mobile phone they will buy, the Kep oNe having a MT6735 Quad-core 1Ghz processor and a Mali T-720, presents results something lower, however are within the expected for a Quad-core, moreover in its actual use, in games he can accomplish, and you can run the most demanding games of the moment.

3DMark Test
To test the actual behavior of mobile phone games, I used to test the NOVA3, Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5, and Real Racing 3, all of them run with good quality although sometimes there are an occasional break on the frame rate, which means that the game becomes slow, this happened particularly in NOVA3, all other games ran surprisingly well.
Audio
The loud speaker that is integrated into Kep oNe, has good sound quality, and a good level of volume, even when on the higher levels, obviously it is not a hi-fi system, but the overall quality is good.
The sound quality on calls is also good, there is no kind of problems with both the micro as with the internal speaker we can perfectly hear our interlocutor.
Camera
The Kep oNe comes equipped with a rear camera of competent 13mpx, pictures are good quality and a good color reproduction, even in dark environments with low light photos are is an above average quality compared to other mobile phones with MTK processors.
The photo mode supports Voice capture, Face Detection, Smile Shot, HDR, among others, in shooting mode, it supports 1080p at 30fps, and Time Lapse.
The front camera, despite having only 5mpx and plays its part, the selfies you'll take,won't ruin our wall on Instagram or Facebook profile.

Connectivity
The WiFi range is quite large and can detect a multitude of networks in the neighborhood, one of the things I liked was that by default when you have the phone on standby, it will automatically turns off the WIFI to save battery life.
The Bluetooth of this Kep oNe, also have a good distance range, easily gets up to 10m distance without any breaks in the signal.
The Kep oNe supports 4G LTE WorldMode, which makes it compatible with all frequency worldwide, for here the signal quality and network speed is dependent on the carriers using the MEO PT, I noticed that the speeds in the tests are very similar both in 3G and 4G, but in terms of use, I have the feeling that the 4G network is very fast, as it should be, but that is not reflected in the tests.
GPS
The Kep oNe GPS is similar to all other devices equipped with a processor of MTK, works well, has an accuracy of about 2m / 3m, and takes about 15s have our fixed position, with a data connection.
battery
Now we come to the point that gave me more headaches to test.
Why? Because it's endless, I came to walk with him four days without having to charge it giving it a normal use, a use that in my SISWOO R8 took the battery in about one day.
Even doing my best to ware the battery, I never reached the end of the day with less than 45% battery.
To see how long she could stand, put in loop a movie with 1080p resolution, brightness set to maximum, maximum sound too, WIFI and connected 4G (forgot Bluetooth), and went to work when I came back after 8:30 hours., it was still working, and better, there were still about 30% battery to finish. So I whent to have a coffee, shopping etc, when I got home, the battery still lasted, about 30 minutes later he could not stand the noise and stopped the test.
He managed a fabulous 10:30 to play the file, and still had 11% battery, so I believe it would pass 11hours, that with just about everything on, and on one of the first charges.
Another very interesting thing is that the Kep oNe can serve as Power Bank, you can use the USB-host cable supplied with the Kep oNe to load another mobile phone while taking a walk on the street, the process is quite inefficient and time consuming, it consume a lot of battery to charge other equipment, the tests I ran, it spent about 25% of Kep oNe battery to charge about 35% of Siswoo R8, which has half the capacity, and took 1h near to do so.
So if there is point at which this mobile phone can be distinguished from the competition is on the battery, as shown in the AnTuTu test.
Assessment and closing remarks
Pros:
- Battery life time
- Camera
- Build quality
Against:
- Performance
We have a very good quality equipment, attention to detail is great, the extras back are a nice bonus. Battery life is in my opinion the strongest point of this equipment, recalls the old Nokia, which spent weeks without being charged. So if looking for a smartphone that keeps you connected to the world without having to be concerned if run out of battery, this is an excellent choice.

Great job. Awesome phone.
Wow, is this an exact clone of vkworld vk6050s or simply rebranded?
Not rebranded and not a clone, just the same assembler..

I see, no wonder it looks exactly the same
@HrCorreia
Was the battery test done with offscreen gestures enabled?
Interested to know how it impacts the battery life when it's enabled or disabled.
@ferbulous
The offscreen gestures was turned off during the test, because honestly, I don't like this feature, noting personal about this phone, just the feature it self.
I can try to use it for a couple of days to see if there is any significant use of the battery.

Thanks for testing it out.
On the contrary, I actually like this feature because I want to avoid the power buttons from wearing out too soon.
There wasn't any noticeable battery drain when using it on my oneplus one (I only enabled double tap to wake and camera gesture)
@ferbulous
I have been using the phone with the off screen gesture on, and honestly I can't notice any battery drain, it last the same amount of time it did without the off screen gesture turned on.

Have you've also been able to use xposed tweaks?
@ferbulous
No, I didn't, when I tried to, it wasn't available for android 5.1, only for that reason.

It's officially available now for 5.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/super-alpha-posted-permission-xposed-t3072979
I've tested it on vk6050s, using TWRP.
However the device gets stuck at bootscreen.
I'm curious to see if xposed can be installed without any problems on KepOne's rom

NEW MODEL WITH 3gb RAM and MT6753 OCTACORE.
I just received my Xiaomi 13 (12/256) and immediately proceed to unboxing, first impression and specs review.
One caveat, if you want to get hold of UFS4.0 it seems you need to order the 256GB version (at least), as the 128 GB version only has UFS 3.1... how much difference will this play in the real world we still need to check & see.
Here also some random tests that I did.

And here is the 3dMark Wildlife Extreme stress test ... the Xiaomi 12 with 8gen1 was not able to complete the test... due to overheating.
This here is a whole other story.
Here you can see how the Xiaomi 13 takes 10 AnTuTu tests one after another... and to not be boring I trowed in the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Guys,
I have been using the Xiaomi 13 now for almost 2 weeks quality time as my mainly driver. Here my feedback in case any questions just hit me and I will try to reply. It`s a rather expensive device so... no questions should be left unanswered if you decide to go with it
Where did I buy it
============
I bought it off trading shenzhen and it was delivered out of China for ~ 12 days. The price was 823 EUR for the 12/256 version
Which version
=========
I do believe that the 12//256 is a must if not... then strongly recommend. Why? The 8/128 version seems to have UFS 3.1 and UFS 4.0 is just better. How? UFS 4.0 can achieve read speeds of up to 4200MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 2800MB/s. In contrast, UFS 3.1 has read and write speeds of up to 2100MB/s and 1200MB/s, respectively. And also 12/256 is a bit more future proof for the next 1-3 years at least
Form Factor
========
With the size 6.36" it`s rather one of the few small Android phones and I love it. It fits in most of my pockets and I am using usually the S22 Ultra, so coming to a smaller screen didn’t felt too bad but it felt way more convenient.
Display
=====
I am a fan of curved screens and this is completely flat which is a bit problematic with gesture use and the included case. But the Samsung E6 AMOLED is really good, very bright (up to 1900 nit peak) and totally usable under direct sunlight. I have compared this to my S22 Ultra and it was not falling behind (S22U has lower peak nit as per specs) but it doesn’t feel like this when comparing.
Battery
=====
4500 mAh isnt too much sometimes with Android phones but here the results are outstanding I believe due to the Snapdragon 8 GEN 2 performance and efficiency. I get constantly over 6 hrs of SOT with mixed (mobile/wifi) use.
Snapdragon 8 gen 2
==============
That`s a beast, able to run at 45 C for a longer period of time w/o sacrificing performance. I was able to run 10 times AnTuTu with only losing 4% from the original score in one of the rounds. I was able to play Genshin Impact for 3 hours and 10 minutes running from 80% to 0%.
It’s a powerhouse and maybe the best chip to upgrade to if you are looking to stay with the phone for a longer period.
Speakers
======
This year the Harman Kardon tuning is gone, but the speakers are loud, EQ works well, sound is balanced and compared to my S22Ultra I like the Xiaomi sound better, it sound fuller and has more bass
Charging
=====
Xiaomi advertised 43 mins from 0 to 100% and ... it`s almost like that, I got it from 0 to 100% for 45 minutes so the claim is total valid
IP68
===
It has official rating but the only thing that worries me that I did not notice any rubber isolating on the sim tray slot
Camera
======
The back camera is outstanding, color consistency between ultra-wide, main/wide and tele is OK, Xiaomi finally improved the audio quality (bitrate) in video recording. You can shoot Dolby Vision video 4K 60 FPS for 6 minutes, the only downside is the front camera HDR processing which is still not ideal and ... the FHD 30 FPS only mode for front camera video which is a bummer.
The only big downside I was able to find is that on 4K you cannot auto switch between the camera lenses when shooting video, you can only do that on the FHD.
The 3.2x Optical Zoom is OK and up to 10x it`s bearable but it`s worse than S22 Ultra zoom capabilities.
Chinees MIUI
=========
The ones I got comes with Google Basic Services, so you just switch a toggle and you have playstore you have google, so it`s good. It does though come with a lot of Chinese app that some might want to remove. It does also have native call recording.
Well that`s about this summed up, let me know if you have any questions or share your experience with the device.
Nice flat screen gorgeous phone
It just arrived today. I'm enjoying it a lot.
Tried to unlock it right away, but for some reason, Mi Flash tool told me to wait for a week , which is fine.
I'm eager to unlock, root, then globalize it via magisk modules.
The camera is really great, check the attachment for reference.

Is there a way to order this thing from china since the europe prices are absolute nuts, 999€ gets me an s23 and enough money to buy the rest of the accessories

Nice review! Thank you! Just curious about the network support in your area and carrier. I'm thinking of buying the Chinese Mi 13 but I'm not sure how good it can be used with T-Mobile.

Bought one from JD.com, 4299 RMB (584.68€) for the 8gb, 256gb variant. Best deal I'll ever get, even gives me a hairdryer lmao.
Congratulations with your new devices, how is the proximity sensor doing? Does the screen turns black when bringing to your ear?

I haven't find anything wrong. Works just fine.
Like every time I buy Xiaomi with CN Rom it hurts... Experience is just so bad. So many lags and bugs. Luckily there is EU and other roms. I just need to wait 5 days.
I got red device 512GB few days ago and experience is mixed. Yeah it's a smaller phone finally (coming from MI11) but cameras are disappointing for now. Especially wide camera. I did had good experience with gcam on MI11 for ultra wide. So just waiting for that. Also the red color is not so red as advertised! Does anyone know does it have a pre applied back glass protector? Cuz it looks like it does and it would make sense because the color and feel to touch are just not so good! Battery life could be better. 5G on some networks is switching off and leaves you without network.. condom case as always is disgusting to touch and slippery.
(Ordered new thin mat black)
Nova Launcher beta finally works with gestures BUT you can't choose it as default launcher so it reverts to default one all the time so I uninstalled it...
Yeah , every time I give a chance to CN Rom and every time is just such a bad experience.
Oh yeah , some google services don't work like assistant, basically anything to do with microphone permission, good luck finding it in setting. If you do please let me know.
Duolingo app voice exercise, don't work , yeah, because microphone permissions... Goes through Google.
Google and China are not good friends. Bad Google bad !
And there is more trust me
