Threads can't be deleted, once they're created they're here for good. Puts, the whole idea of having a q&a section is so once a question is answered the information is still there for the next person who has the same question.

If a forum doesn't have a sticky request thread, where can I make the request.?
Should I send a PM to a moderator or is there something else I should do.?
Yes, pm a Moderator, or report the opening post and make the request.
Good luck!
Thank you. Thread closed.
I need a mod maybe on both sites. I cannot seem to register or to transfer XDA profile information from here to there. If someone could check into it and PM me with a resolution, I would appreciate it.

Read the sticky threads, questions don't belong here. Also, no one will be able to help you if you don't give all the information needed. Post in Q&A.

I have previously installed SlimKat 4.4.4 and more recently installed Slim 7.1
4.4.4 had a home screen only and no "drawer" (is that what it's called?)
(((The button with 6 dots that brings me to a list of all apps.)))
and 7.1 has a drawer.
Is there some way for me to get rid of the drawer on 7.1 and have only a single (or multi page) home screen?
I am going for a minimalist google-free phone and am using F-droid for now.
Would you suggest any additional stores?
Was upgrading from 4.4.4 to 7.1 a good idea?
Is 7.1 more secure and safe?
Thanks
CE

After posting a thread with a question and your provided with or even if you were able to locate a more appropriate thread for any questions that you may have (and even just locating the answer to your question) there's nothing wrong with reporting the thread to a Moderator just to simply close it.
The following steps are the best way to have a thread closed by a Moderator (and they prefer to be asked by the specific member who opened the thread... that's you).
{FYI... The Moderators prefer not to delete a thread unless it's necessary to do so. Closing a thread keeps the information available for other members to learn from it as well.}
1) On the first post, select the bottom left triangle (reporting a post).
2) When the next page loads, select the reason on drop down section (at the bottom left of the text area), then select the one that states "Thread/post moving or maintenance".
3) If it's because your question was simply answered, then type the reason within the text area. Something simple like "Can you please close this thread because my posted question has been answered." (you can also tell them that "Ibuprophen is awesome" LOL!).
4) Finally, select the "Send report" and you'll then be taken back to the thread. Your all set!
The report is then listed on cue for a Moderator. It typically takes anywhere from 10 min to a day or two. The Moderators are very good and are pretty much on top of things.
Reporting a thread isn't intended as a bad thing. It just elevates having to send call-outs and PM's to a bunch of Moderators till one is available.
You've now graduated from the "Closing a thread 101" course! LMAO!!!
Good Luck!
