Trying to get some help here deciding for a phone for my wife, she has been an iPhone user for many years and with the recent iOS 11 issues giving her 6S Plus, shes finally convinced on going to Android.
I have suggested the OnePlus 5T since its as Vanila android as she can have with the exception of the Pixel line up which she is not a fan of.
Trying to see other alternatives in terms of price range and performance that can match the OP5T that'll be under the $800 range, I have suggested the Mate 10 since I have a Mate 9 and have fairly positive experience with it but since the Huawei & AT&T deal was cut, that was out of the question. The Honor V10 looks good on paper but I will wait on it as well, LG V30 is a maybe. She was also looking at the S8 as another alternative as well.$800 would be her prefer limit to spend

Hello, dear community. I am not quite sure I am posting in the correct subforum, but please forgive me if I m doing this wrong. So I love my smartphone. I used to have a One Plus One, which at some point stoped reading the sim card, so I was forced to find a replacement. While searching I stumbled uppon LG v10. I remember I really liked this phone when it came out and I was dreaming of purchasing it, so I did. I found it almost new for $200 which seemed to be too good to be true. I loved certain aspects of the phone, but I grew to hate some others. First of all, it was a nightmare to root and put custom stuff on it. Then for some reason, it was a very slow phone, full of lag most of the times. Anyways, a couple of months after the purchase, the phone just died. It entered a boot loop state and now I can't even enter TWRP on it, so I've decided to move on and search for another device. Could you suggest to me any device?
What I put more weight on my devices are:
1. Easy root, good XDA community with custom roms. I love having the latest version of Android even if it has some bugs.
2. Good camera. I guess everyone likes that. I am a photographer and I like to push the limits of my device when it comes to photography.
3. A good bonus would be to be water resistant ip67 would do the job.
4. Budget not more than $400 (used or new)
5. A big battery would be a +
6. 1080p screen resolution is just fine for me.

Hello,
So i been a nexus 5 user till the phone worked and the screen broke.
worked well for 3-4 years.
Then i shifted to Redmi note 4 [cause i didn't have the budget to get a better phone]
Now im stuck between two phones since these two phones are easy to use in one hand i cant see of any other phones in the same price range
Nokia 8 is costing 29k[450$]
Samsung s7 25k [400$]
I have tried the oneplus 5t it seemed good but i didn't like the camera and its not easy to use in one hand for me. Yes pixel is a great choice but the card i am gonna be using to purchase these two phones isn't supporting the pixel 1 and pixel 2 is out of range.
So basically i am STUCK with these TWO phones only.
My main focus will be manual camera mode
Since both the phones have a decent screen and good battery im ok with that
not much of an audio person.
The problem is nokia 8 seems to be great and i like the camera too but the problem is since its HMD im not sure if the phone will be that durable, i mean the nokia 6 was a nightmare my friend had it and it would overheat and wouldn't function well.
i plan to use my phone for quite sometime 2years and as to nokia, samsung seems to be more reliable.
the problem with samsung is its an old processor [820] vs 835 kinda.
wont the samsung slowdown after a year or so?
Thus im stuck here.
i dont plan on flashing stock roms and stuff.
im just worried about nokias reliability.
Please advice.

Using a op5t as my daily driver, untouched running oreo. However over the past few years I've put many a device in hospital and don't wanna do it to my main phone as I need it working without bugs or issues.
Looking for options for a additional phone I can mess around with that has plenty of support still in XDA, obvs a 2nd hand nexus 6p would be amazing but the ones I'm seeing on eBay are a bit battered, I'd love to buy a brand new phone for my addiction. I honestly miss it all and just want a good machine to play around with?
Moto? Samsung? What would you go with? Without breaking the bank?

Hey so I have this opportunity to get a new note 8 for approx 540€ or new S9 for 560€ and I wonder which one to get because both have pros and cons. My main consern is about note 8's computing power. It uses the older cpu and gpu so it looks way slower on the paper but I dont know how will it affect it in long term using. On the other hand I love big displays and I love watching youtube or netflix in my bed with S7 edge I currently own and also note 8 camera should be a bit better I suppose. I would like to see your opinions since I cannot decide. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I am very new to Android! Recently bought the Mate 10, and I am absolutely in love with Android for the most part. Now I have been thinking about getting a second phone, more so a backup and for my secondary number. Wont see much if any use.
Now I would really prefer to stick to android, have some old Nokia Symbian based phones which are on their last legs and pretty much useless. Anyway, any suggestions would be nice. I dont want to spend much maybe $50-$100 to grab something used??
Thought about the LG V20, Oukitel K10000 (which has a huge 10,000mah batery and priced quite low), not looking for an apple product, not sure but some suggestions would be nice.
