Honor 8 new and updated to b360 problems

Hello all,
I bought today the Honor 8, after the setup i did the update to nougat.
But the main problem atm i have is that the notification led dont work if i get a text message from whatsapp or from other 3d party apps.
I make it work with the app Light manager, but i guess it must work straight out the box right? is it a bug or some setting that i miss?
Also i miss already smartlock on the phone, i there a alternative for it when u are at home that the phone automatic unlocks?
I have now a little regret that I have not bought a phone with a fingerprint on the front side like the Lenevo P2, because it is very annoying when the phone is on the table and u need to type pincode or the password.
I had expect that Honor got smartlock since it is a default android feature.
Led should work, mine works from the first boot

Mate 9 Oreo - Touch Disable Mode - how to disable?

Hi, Since my Mate9 auto updated to build mha-l29 8.0.0.373(c636) - the version that introduced face unlock which I use, I now get annoying feature whereby the device screen turns on in a "Touch Disable Mode" every time I put the phone into a waterproof pouch for exercise etc. This never happened in earlier builds. Where do I find the settings for touch disable mode to remove it please and hopefully stop to water proof pouch interfering with display??
Appreciate any ideas guys.
Seriously has no one got any feedback please? This mate-9 is driving me nuts when I use waterproof sports bag and screen keeps coming on. How to stop it happening I wonder?
Huawei removed the option to disable "touch disable mode" in EMUI 8.
But this should help you:

Intelligent scan (likes) on S8/S8+/N8/N8+ Magisk | Root

Hi everyone, I'm Alex, I found this easy way to have an intelligent scan like s9 (face recognition and iris scan at the same time)
What you need
-root (magisk)
-an iris scanner
Installation
-First open magisk and search for "Google face unlock"
-reboot
-go to settings > smart lock > add face
- deactivate stock Samsung face recognition
-then register an iris scan
-set iris scanner to start without swipe (if you want)
Now try to unlock your phone whit iris and then whit Eyes closed.
Is normal that iris scanner will display "iris don't found icon" that mean face unlock recognize your face before iris but try to swipe up and the phone will unlock.
Now you can unlock your phone in low light conditions and high light conditions:good:
-protip : whit autoinput (app in PlayStore) whit keyguard option will unlock without swipe whit facelock
-Alles sry my bad English and if I post it in wrong
You can install AutoInput from play store , you can watch an add a day to use free everyday or u can pay 2 dollars for it to have it always. It has an option called auto dismiss keyguard and it will unlock the phone without swiping in the moment that it recognizes your face
The method seem to work but let me explain here what exactly happens, the google face unlock barely lets the phone to scan your irises and uses the phones camera to scan your face almost within a second(maybe even less then a second, i havnt used a stopwatch) after the iris scanner turns on giving iris scanner almost no time at all to scan your irises and we all know that iris scanning is not that fast. So essentially by using this method you are using googles face scan only. thats not how samsung implements intelligent scan and also this method requires an extra app to work properly(autoinput). So its better to use samsung's face scanning tech rather than google's as iris scanner aint working any way if you want to go the face unlock way.

Screen wake up problem

Hi guys . My phone is like 3 weeks old I bought it from Ali express is 64gb version .the software is 12.0.2 stable global . I am using the SIM 2 and a micro SD in slot 1 . All working find and dandy but I got a major problem with this phone, I don't know if is hardware related or software that's why i am typing this here .
Symptoms
If I leave the phone on the table the screen wake up like 3 times in 5 minutes with no notification. Is looking for my face to unlock it . :silly:
I tried to factory reset it . Update it .restore it from cloud , set up as new , remove the micro SD , uninstall apps .nothing worked
I need an apk or an app to identify what trigger the wake up thing . Or what is running in the background or what is trying to do
Please help
I also find this online I don't know if is related but sound the same like my problem: confused:
https://amp.reddit.com/r/PocoPhones/comments/aw484t/screen_wake_up_with_no_receiving_notification/
Solve it . It was a bug . It's a big in miui 12 if you mute an app to don't receive notifications anymore the screen it will wake but won't show any notification.
Just to let you know if you have the same problem like me
It hasn't been fixed, right?
Mine POCO X3 is still waking up by itself.
I muted the notifications from one app.

Pocket mode missing option in official rom Android 12+ (Oxygen/ColorOS )

Toggle to turn Pocket Mode off/on used to be available in system>utilities, but is now missing in 12.
Not having this switch is a nightmare for me, someone know how to solve?
Thanks!
It's the same for me , so should be removed or a bug . Also can you check if you can edit the quick settings? You have to drag the notification bar and push the pencil button. For me also this feature it's not working, only reporting an empty screen

I updated to AC2003_11_F.12 and rooted with magisk. Pocket mode still not available, but quick setting works as expected.
I can confirm that pocket mode it's working , even if I can't find the option . I had it active from android 11 , and now it's working if you cover the sensors ( the part near the earspeaker) wake up the phone and try to slide to unlock , but you get it only sometimes . For quick settings edit , all the icons appear like normal after a night charge . I can personalize them , but the personalization stay only in the edit menu . If I exit they stay not personalized , or at least the personalization it's not updated as the one in the edit menu. Maybe I have to verify if it gets personalized after a full phone charge . Also do not disturb mode was not working yesterday, it gets triggered as expected ( also with a notification with ringtone not expected and not needed ,since it was perfect with only a silent notification like in android 11 ) but then the phone was acting like in normal mode . I wait a few more days , and then recovery + custom rom . Oneplus and oxigen OS it's going to be a can of junk as expected with the Oppo fusion . It's going to be like a huawei , redmi , honor , oppo , xiaomi and all the other chinese vomit os
