Doopro P1 Pro / C1 Pro Snapdragon 210 Mic Gain - General Questions and Answers

Hello, I just purchased the Doopro P1 Pro and C1 Pro.
Both devices running Qualcomm SoC Snapdragon 210 MSM8909.
Performance is quite well, the system stable.
The cameras are poor on the P1 Pro, quite well on the C1 Pro.
But the good things are the batteries with 4200 mAh.
However I am facing a too low Mic gain.
The calls are Ok in normal environment, but I want to increase the Mic gain.
For MTK SoC I know there are several Engineering Tool Apps.
But as for Qualcomm, I did not find any tool to increase the Mic gain.
Can someone help on the Mic gain improvement?
Is there a hidden code, or can it be done with root access?
Doopro is company of Doogee. The enduser support is inexistent, they dont reply on e-mails.
Thank you!

Short update on rooting Doproo C1 Pro
I could root the Doopro C1 Pro using Magisk.
Before rooting with Magisk, you MUST have a stock boot image dump beforehand.
1) Download Magisk App (Magisk Manager) from xdadeveloppers
2) Allow OEM unlock in Developer options on device
3) Start USB debugging
4) Copy original boot image on SD-Card or device
5) Enter cmd adb: fastboot oem unlock
6) Confirm
7) On Magisk Manager press Install> Patch Boot Image File and select your stock ROM on SD-Card or wherever you store it.
8) Magisk Manager will now patch your boot image and store it in the \MagiskManager\ Folder.
9) Copy the file patched_boot.img on your PC
10) Flash the patched boot image to your device using fastboot: flash boot patched_boot.img
11) If you cannot boot your device ont to fastboot, use adb command: adb reboot bootloader
12) Reboot your device
Now you should be able to edit the files mixer_paths.xml or build.prop
I have changed the settings in the mixer_paths.xml
Code:
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="87" />
<ctl name="RX2 Digital Volume" value="87"
previous values 84
and
Code:
<ctl name="DEC1 Volume" value="89" />
<ctl name="DEC2 Volume" value="89" />
Previous values 84
However, it did not increase the mic gain at voice calls.
Does someone has any idea how to increase the mic gain on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210?
Thank you.

OK, no answers or feedback so far. I am writing here with myself.
However, the instruction of How to Root Doopro C1 Pro with Magisk, has been posted on our Russian friends 4PD forum.
I like to do that with the Doopro P1 Pro, but it died due to water came in during a Mountain Bike ride.
However, I might buy the Doopro P1 Pro again, but did not found the Android 6.0 or Android 7.0 firmware. As expected Doopro Support does not answer any e-mails.
Can somenone put the link to the Doopro P1 Pro firmware here in (my) thread?

[GUIDE] How to get USB OTG support on iNew V1

Hi.
I'll teach right now how to get ANY USB DEVICE working in iNew V1.
Maybe this works for another MTK6582 devices... I don't know. Try it. The worse that can happens is an enormous amount of nothing, nothing at all...
Firstly I must say that I'm not responsible for damages in your devices.
If you do this way, all gonna be ok.
1- Root your device using KingRoot app (google it)
2- Using an app of your preference, add the following lines into the given files
In this file: /system/etc/permissions/android.hardware.usb.host.xml
Add these lines:
<permissions>
<feature name="android.hardware.usb.host" />
</permissions>
In file: /system/etc/permissions/handheld_core_hardware.xml
Add this line:
<feature name="android.hardware.usb.host" />
3- Reboot your device.
4- Buy an OTG Y CABLE, or do yourself one (as I did, very very very easy). There's so much DIY tutorials. (google it too)
https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/...kjVfRSRaow08v6j-Z9OpLvpUm3x6ok1WWIntw02m5NObA
iNew V1 comes with a kernel that supports OTG. That's the point... There is no necessary compile another kernel.
Worked for me, I can ensure to you.

[REQUEST][ROM-OFFICIAL] DOOGEE-T5S-Android6.0-20161019

Surely someone has or can get the Official ROM for The Doogee T5s Note it's T5s not T5 nor T5 Lite.
It's Processor is MTK6735 not MTK6753. I need the ROM with the Scatter file. If you have a Custom Recovery TWRP/CWP that would be helpful too.
If need be I'll put a bounty on it but I am hoping some samitan will be so kind as to post it.
Thanks in Advance.

To be brief:
I have not found the stock ROM for the DOOGEE T5S, nor tried any new custom ROM to replace it.
I have managed to install a TWRP with SuperSU powers.
These instructions might help you clean up your current system.
Bonus: the recovery menu (TWRP) is multilingual.
Caveat emptor:
My stock ROM came with a nasty couple of Trojans(a) and other potential malware(b) embedded. The Trojans subscribed me to "premium" phone services, costing me some money. I went through the whole hassle in order to get rid of them.
If you have a DOOGEE T5S, your phone is probably infected too. Owners of other DOOGEE phones should beware. (c,d,e)
DISCLAIMER: The following instructions could seriously harm or brick your phone. I make no guarantees of any type, shape or form as to the end results. These operations WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
What I did:
Last warning: during these operations I had to do a factory reset of my phone. I strongly recommend you BACKUP ALL YOUR DATA before you continue.
1] Install TWRP & root the phone (f)
* Download the required files:
- The TWRP image file here:
[Search the NEEROM dot COM website]
- The SuperSU patch file here:
[Search the NEEROM dot COM website]
* Unrar the TWRP image. Leave the SuperSU patch zipped.
* Enter fastboot mode.
Using ADB in terminal:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
* Flash the TWRP image in the recovery partition.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery /path/to/twrp/image/recovery.img
(in my case fastboot requires root privileges, so sudo it.
* Reboot and enter in recovery mode.
In fasboot send the reboot system, but press Volume UP during reboot.
* Enter into TWRP and Install the patch "SuperSU 2.78-SR1"
Once in TWRP, ADB is again functional.
Load SuperSU patch to your sdcard:
Code:
adb push /path/to/your/patch/SuperSU_Pro_v2.78-SR1.zip /sdcard/
In the TWRP menu, go to "Install". Browse to the "sdcard" directory. Select the SuperSU patch and Install.
* Reboot to the system.
Beware: system will not start if you haven't installed the SuperSU patch. It will loop at startup, and won't progress beyond the startup logo.
2] Initial setup.
From factory reset, the phone will go through the first installation procedures. Follow the setup until your system logs on, and you can connect again to your phone via ADB.
3] Get rid of the malware.
* Disable the apps:
Without need of supercow powers:
- Enter an adb shell:
Code:
adb start-server
Code:
adb shell
Disable the apps:
In a normal ADB shell:
Code:
pm disable your.package.name.here
If you don't know the name of the packages, you can always get the full list with:
In your normal terminal (not adb):
Code:
adb shell 'pm list packages -f'
In an ADB shell:
Code:
pm list packages -f
* Remove the apps:
First try a normal removal. If they are system apps this will fail, but try anyways.
Code:
pm uninstall your.package.name.here
* Escalation to remove apps:
Now that the first try has failed, get supercow powers:
In the ADB shell:
Code:
su
(You should get a message on your phone telling you that ADB is requiring root privileges. Say OK)
Now your ADB console should read something like "[email protected]"
And we try again:
Code:
pm uninstall your.package.name.here
But we have a super hardcore app that fails to be removed with the normal supercow powers. So we step it up. (g)
Code:
pm uninstall -k --user 0 your.package.name.here
... SUCCESS!
But wait, the app is still there. Yes, you only removed it for root. So... lets do some overkilling:
Meanwhile:
Let's check the ID of the system user:
Code:
id system
In my phone "system" is 1000
So, here we go:
Code:
pm uninstall -k --user 1000 your.package.name.here
Your mileage may vary. Sometimes the first command does the trick, sometimes the app is still there.
Is it gone? Not always.
Can it creep out from the netherworld? Maybe. So, let's beat the dead horse.
* Silence the dead (h)
Just in case the app is still lurking, let's make it harder for it to creep up on us.
Code:
pm hide your.package.name.here
Great. Silent in its coffin.
But is the app still there? Sadly, yes. I looked around and the apps were still there, in a privilege data folder.
* Root it out (i)
This is an extreme measure. You can really harm yourself doing this, so... you have been warned.
At this stage, you should be using supercow powers. If you are not, brief recap:
Code:
adb shell
su
Now, the systems partition is read only, so you cannot remove the content there. So, to remove the files there, you have to remount it in read-write mode. Here we go:
Code:
mount -o rw,remount /system
Now, find the app directories you want to remove. In my case, the apps were in "/system/priv-app". So:
Code:
rm -rf /system/priv-app/YourAppFolder/
And, eventually, erase the associated data:
Code:
rm -rf /data/data/your.package.name.here
A read-write /system/ partition is not a good idea, so we reset as read-only:
Code:
mount -o ro,remount /system
[You might need this]
I don't remember if this is required. Maybe to be able to write to the recovery partition via fastboot...
Code:
adb shell setprop ro.secure 0
This voids the GUARANTEE. You have been warned (AGAIN).

I am amazed you were able to do as much as you did with just ADB! Usually this type of phone (ChinaPhone) requires flashing the bootrom with a utility called SP Flash Tool and , VCOM Drivers as well as the aforementioned Scatter file! BTW There is a rom for the T5S LITE but not T5S (Despite many many requests, falling on deaf ears)

Yes, I did notice the lack of help regarding the release of the stock ROM. Given that (in my case) it was a compromised ROM (Trojans & Co.), I would imagine why they would not release the original one. It surprises me they are not releasing a cleaned up version, though.
The TWRP for the T6 works fine on the T5S. I was tempted to try one of the custom roms for T6 pro available at needrom DOT com. The thing is I need a working phone, so I cannot hard or soft brick my T5S. Not having a fallback ROM, that kind of nails it down for now.
I'm deploying LineageOS on a series of other devices. If all goes well, I might give LineageOS for T6 pro a try on my T5S. My concern is not the chipset of the SOB, it's the periphericals. Chiefly the capacity to recognize the SIM cards. It would defeat the purpose to have a running Android Nougat on my phone and not be able to make calls.

UPDATE:
Previously described to have successfully flashed TWRP 3.0.3 from needrom, with root powers, allowing for housekeeping of the original ROM.
I now inform you to have successfully flashed the T5 Lite stock rom (the UPDATE) into the T5S.
The ROM is apparently fully functional: RadioFM, front camera, back camera, WiFi, SIMs. I have not found any non-functioning feature.
I have tried to flash in a custom ROM, but until now I have been unsuccessful. While flashing the ROM with TWRP I get a 255 error. I'm thinking I need TWRP 3.1 or 3.2 to flash the custom ROMs I have. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be a TWRP 3.2 for the DOOGEE T5 lite/T5S.
I'll keep you all posted.
Need SuperSU
Is anyone here who can send me the "SuperSU_Pro_v2.78-SR1.zip"
PLEASEEEE don't send me the needrom link. Thanks!

Finally the T5S firm is available at doogee.cc comunity!
I had to use it to revive my T5S after trying to flash TWRP recovery: I tried TWRP from T5, T6 and T6 Pro but in all cases phone got stuck in a boot loop. :crying:
I don't know if the official firmware contains bloatware... I'll keep any eye on it...
Doogee T5S rooten
After some time consuming experiments, I finally got my T5S rooted.
The main point after installing TWRP, througth fastboot or SP-Flash tool is:
1st: Booting immediatly into the recovery mode (prevents the operating system to switch to the original recovery app)
2nd: installing Super-SU before booting in the system (I my case it prevents the boot-loop. I think a must!)
When you finally restarted successfully the operating system, deactivate the APP "Aktualisierung mit Funknetz" (in englisch I think something like "OTA WiFi upgrade") , which seems to be reason for the malware. I my case, since I did it, no pop ad's appeared! (since 3weeks)
Remark:
As the T5S has the some CPU as T5light you can flash this firmware as well. I did it with the SP-tool but with same problem of poping up of unwished AD's, i.e. you have to root to put the above mention APP in deactivat mode (I did it with the app: 3C System Tuner Pro).

No it will not brick your phone, but the cameras might not work, flash back to THFC if this is the case.
Edit: The LED is for charging on both models, no notification LED.

So in thory if i add the camera drivers from the thfc edition , it may function the same?
I really need something that improve its battery life because it barely can do 1 day.
Also audio is not very loud.
Any " god firmware " for it?
I might take it if it do not brick it... , because serously this is a joke that is installed on it.
Also if you happen to know the z5 lte im looking for a better rom for that too, i found a lot , but all crc problems or cant install, i already have twrp , and root on it.
You should only need to flash boot, recovery and system, however if I remember correctly when I flashed my T5 to THFC edition, I flashed the whole lot.
Download my custom version with root, if you need add or replace files or apk's, it's likely to work without further modifications.

Personally I am impressed with the overall quality of the newer Leagoo phones.
If you want more beef get a phone with a "Helio P60" SoC or better.

----
When buying a new phone, checkout your current phones specifications, and then the model you are currently looking at, here are some tips:
Compare CPU cores and speed. RAM size, speed, and channels (single, double, quad). GPU cores and speed.
Make sure the modem meets the standards used by your sim provider (technology and frequency).
The last step is to read reviews and watch videos, when happy make your purchase.

The z5 lte has mtk6737 its not a bad cpu in a budget phone , currently im waiting for the t8s to arrive, also i got a power 2 on the way.
The z5 lte runs well with manually updated firmware , but the t5 thfc edition is straight garbage.
I may try your suggestions , thanks.

I found a phone with same capabilities as my leagoo z5 lte , its a 4.5" doopro p4 , same screen resolution same cpu , same ram same rom size , screen is 0.5" smaller but only stock rom available for , can you help me port this to my leagoo ?
I have looked into the T8s, It's an upscaled T5, so hardware modifications should be the same (same prop tweaks). It's Oreo based, and does have slightly different parts.
Since the SoC is the same as the T5, it's limits are the same (single channel RAM, 2 core GPU), however I doubt you will find better for the money.
I play games on my gaming PC, the T5 was an ideal phone (I got mine new for £68), quality parts, great camera, it's also quite loud.
I have looked at other brands for the same price, not much to say except I am happy I bought the Leagoo.

Stock Leagoo Z5 LTE : https://firmwarefile.com/leagoo-z5-lte

I suggest the stock Leagoo firmware, install Magisk and modify boot, you will then have root, and can flash back to stock.
Also you can edit the ".img" files, by extracting or mounting them with Linux-Unix, or other utilities.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/commander-cygwin-cmder-t3910807
----
First modify the 'default.prop' with device tweaks, then delete any apps you do not want, if you break it, flash it back.
Write down the device's details: MAC addresses (bluetooth, wifi), IMEI's, and serial number (barcode).
Use 'SP flash tool' to upload firmware's, and also to backup your current one (use a guide).
And use 'SN write tool' to restore your devices details, as above.
----
But the leagoo , claims it has 6737m , not 35 , thats nearly the same , i done a search for mt6737 854x480 1gb 8gb , it gave me homtom ht26 , huawei y3 , vkworlf f1 , and doopro p4 . Which of these will be better to do ports from? Or do i need to go cm 14.1 or linage direction ?
I am not sure to be honest, I guess the one that has cameras and other parts that are the same or similar, with the least amount of apps installed.
You would probably be better of with CM or Lineage like you said, the other ROM's will have device branding and properties.

USB OTG for audio streaming not working (Android 10)

Hi,
i have a Huawei Mediapad M5 Lite (was a stock Android 8) where i installed a custom AOSP Android 10 rom from here (tried some of there):
Flashing Successfully any GSI to Mediapad M5 Lite 10 [UPDATED]
Requirements: 1. Unlocked Bootloader 2. You need ramdisk of current version. a) Install this program from this link (you need the program installed in order to download the files) https://github.com/ProfessorJTJ/HISuite-Proxy/releases/...
forum.xda-developers.com
The issue is that if i try to install this app: USB AUDIO PLAYER PRO, it seems not be not compatible with those roms. Seems that USB OTG is not working.
So i installed this app: USB OTG CHECKER, it says that USB HOST is not working.
The last rom i installed have root privileges the i created the file android.hardware.usb.host.xml in /system/etc/privilege that was missing.
But issue is not fixed. Please could you help me?
The reason i need to use USB AUDIO PLAYER PRO is the only app to have hi-res audio streaming. Can bypass Android 16 Bit 44.1 KHz limit and go up to 24 bit 192 KHz.
Thank you.
How USB / USB-OTG is implemented is hardware specific, the related drivers are NOT part of Android OS itself, they are provided by OEM.

so fot you the only way to have it is to restore stock rom from Huawei?
USB OTG CHECKER app you ran told you the USB-hardware build into phone doesn't support USB-OTG. So what should be the reason to re-flash phone's stock ROM?

[LG Velvet 4G | LMG910EMW] A noobs guide for installing Magisk (rooting), SafetyNet, Gcam buffer fix and fingerprint fix

Disclaimer: None of this is my work! I only used guides from other people and decided to create single a step-by-step guide for the LG Velvet (4G version). I tried crediting all people at the end of the post.
I am not responsible if you brick your device - use this guide at your own risk and know what you are doing.
After unlocking, your fingerprint reader will no longer work, this can be fixed and the instructions can be found below.
All these tools are commandline tools (cmd) - you should know how to use them.
You should also be familiar with "adb" and "fastboot".
This is not a guide for noobs, only a guide made by a noob.
Unless mentioned otherwise, all these steps are to be done on your computer.
I used Windows 10, it should work on other platforms just fine with a few modifications.
Bootloader Unlock
(European Version - I have no idea about the possibilities of unlocking provider-locked phones or other regions!!!)
Create an account and follow the instructions here:
https://developer.lge.com/resource/mobile/RetrieveBootloader.dev
The steps are explained quite well, therefore I will not write them down here unless people actually have problems with the steps.
(Preparation on the phone: Enable developer options, allow USB debugging and allow OEM Unlock.)
As always, unlocking the bootloader will WIPE your phone.
Installing Magisk / Systemless root
(After you successfully unlocked the bootloader, remember to re-enable developer options on the phone and allow USB Debugging)
Download the latest firmware here.
Use the IMEI search if you don't know which one you need!
Using this page, you will eventually receive a link ending in .kdz.
I don't recommend using the Download tool provided by lg-roms, but instead this script:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...nd-lgup_ui-fixer.3916444/page-2#post-84148225
Paste the .kdz URL in the tool and wait for the Download to complete.
Next, you will need a copy of kdztools. Download a copy of this repository.
Important: Do not download from "Releases" - they are outdated! Instead, download a copy of the current master branch!
To be able to use this tool, you need to have python3 installed.
I will not further describe this step as there are enough tutorials out there and it is usually self explanatory.
You will have to install the module "zstandard" for the script to work:
pip3 install zstandard
Click to collapse
Use KDZ Tools together with the downloaded firmware.
First, exctrat the KDZ file:
python unkdz.py -f G910EMW10i_00_0520.kdz -x
Click to collapse
You should now have a large .dz file in the subfolder "kdzextracted". We can use this file to extract the boot image:
python undz.py -f c:G91010i_00_user-signed-ARB0_COM1_EU_OP_0520.dz -s 41
Click to collapse
After this step, you should have a file "boot_a.image" in the subfolder "dzextracted".
(If you received a different file, use "python undz.py -f c:G91010i_00_user-signed-ARB0_COM1_EU_OP_0520.dz --list" and search for the partition named boot, edit the number "41" in the previous command accordingly)
Rename the boot_a.image to "boot.img" and copy it to your phone.
Download and install the latest Magisk release on your LG device.
In Magisk, select Install and patch the boot.img file.
After patching, copy the patched Magisk image back to your computer, rename it for easier use.
Using adb/fastboot on your pc:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot_a magisk.img
fastboot flash boot_b magisk.img
Click to collapse
Finally
fastboot reboot
Click to collapse
Wait for the phone to boot and check Magisk installation status.
Congratulations!
Disable automatic firmware updates on your phone if you want to avoid having to re-install a patched Magisk image after every update!
Passing SafetyNet (Google Pay and more)
(You might not need all steps - after every step, you can check SafetyNet status via Magisk and if it is still broken, continue with the next step.)
Reboot after every step!
In the Magisk App, open Settings (top right) and enable the option "MagiskHide"
Download Universal safetynet fix and manually add as a module in the Magisk app
Download Magisk Hide Props Conf (manual DL not needed, can be found as a module directly in the app)
Unless there was an update to SafetyNet, you should now be able to set up and use SafetyNet services like Google Pay
Fixing your fingerprint reader
After the bootloader unlock, you will no longer be able to register fingerprints. This can be fixed using the following steps:
Launch the hidden service menu by dialing #*462633*#910# (might require an inserted SIM card)
SVC Menu -> Handprint -> HandID Logging "ON"
Go to the start of the menu and then navigate to "Device Test" -> SAAT -> Manual Test -> Optical FingerPrint Test
Press SEVERAL times firmly on the green button until it says FAILED, confirm and exit the menu
Go to settings and set up your fingerprints!
AFAIK, you can now disable "HandID Logging" again
Gcam Buffer Fix (Viewfinder Lag)
Using Gcam on the LG Velvet 4G, you will notice that most of the ports will not work properly.
Only a few versions based on Gcam 6.x with the option "buffer fix" will somewhat work, but not very well.
If you have Magisk installed, you can install the Buffer Fix that was originally designed for the LG V40 (Use the one for Android 10). Just flash the ZIP as a Magisk module.
Some Gcams will crash but MGC builds by BSG appear to work well!
(I don't know how this buffer fix works so I don't know if it is healthy to flash a module that was designed for a different phone but I tried several bufferfixes for different phones and this one appears to work flawless.)

Hi. I wonder how it is possible to unlock the bootloader using this page since the LG Velvet 4G (LM-G910EMW) doesn't seem to be at the supported devices list. How did you got it?
Is there a way someone can help to unlock Korea version of velvet?
Can someone from 20a backup me system and vendor partitions ? Not the ones from kdz, i need as they are in the phone with partition backup app that requires root either with qfil? i can give instructions just dm me on telegram @EmanuelCN0 . I specifically need from EMW model.
Got the German Version of the phone (DEA) ... Everytime i want to use undz.py it says Error: extraneous data found IN version. Also unkdz.py says something but extracts the .dz. Any idea what i could do ?
Hello. I've succesfully rooted my European Velvet LTE/4G variant.
Most of the kdz extractors are a total disaster and won't work with recent KDZs. You have to use this one:
A correct extractor for LG's KDZ Android image files
A correct extractor for LG's KDZ Android image files - kdz.py
gist.github.com
This is the correct, working KDZ extractor. Save this raw Python script for example as a kdz_extractor.py.
Now, assuming you already have performed the previous necessary steps like installing zstandard with pip, all you have to do is:
python3 kdz_extractor.py -e <where to extract> <kdz to extract>
You'll have a file called 4.boot_a.img, around 96 MBs. Now you can keep following the OP guide.
I can provide the patched boot_a.img for LMG910EMW Android 11 20a version if someone needs it.

Yeah i already saw it and it worked.... Just forgot to write you a big : THAAAANNNNK YooooooUUUU!!!!!!!!!
Hi. Thank you very much for the detailed explanations.
Update. Rooting worked for me for LG Velvet LMG910EMW and Android 12 with a minor change:
The extract of boot.img did not work as described. Following tools failed for me
1 kdztools -> "Error: extraneous data found IN version" :-/
2 LG Extractor tool -> ZlibException: Bad state - zero bytes :-/ (also with kdz DZ file)
3 "hovatek" ectractor -> unsupported data file :-/ (tested with both DZ and KDZ files)
4 adb dd command to dump the my-name boot partition -> permission denied :-/
Finally it worked with kdz.py from https://gist.github.com/iscgar/e0da0868df7b2f179b000c61f12d1a8c
So i just put in the 5GB Android 12 KDZ from my previous flash and it extracted all partitions including the boot_a.img/boot_b.img files (each around 93 MB).
A quick test with fastboot boot boot_a.img showed that they are working.
Btw. I unlocked the bootloader already with Android 10 (see other post), before i updated to Android 12 with LGROMUP1.1.
The original LGUP did not work because the roms i found are in region "DEA" and my phone seems to be restricted for EU market.
In LGROMUP1.1, this seems to play no role. There was no partition selection, just "flash" button, but it preserved the unlocked bootloader to my surprise.
A lot of automatic restarts until it reached 100%, but everything went smooth.
Cheers.
I am interested in this Velvet 4G with dual screen. Can you answer me two questions please: 1º Is the battery life good? 2º Does the dual screen of the Velvet 5G snap765 work in this 4G model? Thanks friends.
