In my phone I do not have GApps (I do not want them), but I need WebView for some applications to work. Unfortunately, I can not install the application.
Can anybody help me? Is there any way to install it successfully?
Are there application APKs alternative to WebView?
Bump, I'm having same issue. Did you ever figure this out? You can get a recent webview apk from many websites. APK Mirror has the Google Android WebView and the LineageOS Android WebView.
BUT - I've tried both and neither show up as a webview provider in my developer settings. Not sure how to fix this.

I know you are unable to just install the Android Market .apk on an Android device. What dependencies does it have Google Services apk that references a Google Account? Will an Android device that you are able to successfully able to install the Android Market be provided market updates?

It's great..
Hey there.
I am new here, so I dont know whether it is correct place to ask this type of question or no.
So, I've installed Oracle VM virtualbox and Genymotion on my laptop. I did install lolipop 5.0 for Nexus 5. Along with it I installed ARM translater and Gapps packages for it. After updating Google apps, I tried installing instagram.
When I searched for instagram on google play, it didnt return the restult, i.e. actual instagram app. So I downloaded apk of it and tried drag and drop method, but after file transfer, it gave me this error "An error occured while deploying the file. INSTALL_FAILED_NO_MATCHING_ABIS"
Other apps like facebook, whatsapp and twiiter installed perfectly without any problem.
I need instagram, please help me. What should I do so that I can install it without any trouble.
I wonder if anyone ever got Instagram working on GenyMotion ?
ARM Translation
You could install ARM translation on genymotion's virtual device...
Hi,
I wanted to decompile, modify XMLs only of the Google Maps app and add one asset, and recompile the APK (only for personal use). I already tried this process but the package will not install on my Galaxy S5. I just added an extra permission (may not be used since the code doesn't use it) and when I try to install the new APK it tells me that it requires the new permission (success), but when I click 'install' it tries to do it but ultimately says "app not installed."
Does anyone have any idea as to what is going on? I understand that once I sign the package with my own keystore, the Google API will stop working. I tried to create my own Google API key that is linked to my keystore, but that didn't seem to resolve the issue. I would appreciate any help from someone who has done this previously.
Thank you very much!

You can either uninstall chrome then use that separate android webview app or continue using one from chrome, because both are by google
yes
Hi everyone, I'm using an open source of car system with android auto integration in my car (https://getcrankshaft.com/). I have problem with non google play apps (like spotify) on android auto there are not listed, I've already try all the normal fixes I found on internet but nothing change.
Before all I've already enable developer option in AA, unknown sources and try to install manually the app via adb (but I have permission problem) and I can't solve the problem. Anyone can help me?
I'm using a AA version for smartphone (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...android.projection.gearhead.phonescreen&gl=IT) to use the phone as server.
Hope you can help me.
