Hello, today i received my new phone, an honor 8 which i ordered from China. The problem is that it doesn't have a global rom installed. So is there any global rom i could install and also am i going to lose the warranty?

I just got my Xiaomi POCO X2 (without realising I've bought it as REDMI K30 on Aliexpress). Found out that there's no NFC option in the settings. When I tried to setup GooglePay the app told me that something wrong with my ROM.
All the specs on the Internet say that both POCO X2 and K30 support NFC. I wonder if it is a ROM issue and how do I get one that would make the NFC chip operational.
My current ROM is MIUI Global 11.0.2 | Stable 11.0.2.0(QGHINXM)
Thank you in advance!

Hi!
The problem is that POCO X2 will be only launched officially on Feb 4th. Therefore, there's no such model yet, as well as no official Global ROM exist yet.
What is being sold on Aliexpress is Chinese version named Redmi K30. The fake "Global" ROM is installed by sellers, and in many such cases the the phone sale page clearly says "Global ROM NO NFC", "China ROM WITH NFC" - which only means that Global ROM (phone) is not certified by Google, so NFC will not work.
What to do?
You need to install either Official China ROM or custom ROM like MiRoom or xiaomi.eu with Magisk& Magisk Manager/ Ten hide your rot access (and unlocked bootloader) from Google Services and Google Pay.
Again, the temporary (!) problem is no TWRP is available yest to install custom ROMs and Magisk. (just wait )

Thank you very much!
That explains my problem pretty well.
I'll research that topic further.

If you bought poco x2, I think they have removed the entire NFC chip from the PCB itself...but global k30 has the chip just the ROM doesn't have support for it. EU rom would enable it
I have bought the latest Huawei p10+ android 10 version, 8g 126g but I live in china and cannot get on with the Chinese phone, what is the best custom rom to use?
I bought poco x2 few days back. Plus is it advisable to unlock phone and then install china version miui 12 or wait for stable update at this point of time?

I'm thinking about flashing a global miui rom on my newly purchased k30 pro zoom edition. How will the phone work regarding over the air updates if I do that? Will it be able to update just like normally?
I am thinking about official updates, I am currently on MIUI 12.0.8 and the latest global I can get from mifirm is 12.0.3. Will it work?
Hello there.
Did you manage finally to flash global Poco F2 pro into K30 Pro.Zoom?
After that, is it possible to lock the bootloader?
Thank you
