WiFi question - Essential Phone Guides, News, & Discussion

Seems like invariably we all connect to our WiFi at home and it seems to be less than adequate.
Is this setting on the phone one that does what I think it does- more quickly moves to cell service when WiFi is slow?

mine worked fine until January update

Could it be related to this issue?

Might not be the phone. But possibly could be.

I'm guessing that WiFi tries to connect itself with the closest router and track its IP to detect where it came from. But what if we are on a fast-moving car? Is it not just a myth that it could actually make our location more accurate? Should I just keep it off for the sake of Nexus 5's terrible battery life?

Data terribly slow today..Could it be Rom related?

Earlier today I noticed it was taking forever to connect anything. I have network set as global rather than lte/cdma. Personally don't know if it would effect signal either way but I ran a speed test and this is what it showed. Btw my girlfriend has Verizon and internet data works 100% on her phone.

SM-G930FD- Network SUPER SLOW problem with the S7

Ok I thought this was a problem with just the hotspot but I was very very wrong. The network on this phone is super slow I'll get Download speeds of like 60k sec and with the HTC it's like 3000kb a sec. Also have a look at this picture they're connected to the same network at the same time

Does anyone have any ideas as to why and how to fix. I'm at a loss I have no clue whatsoever.
Thanks

(Q) Phone Radio Power for system data: 98%

Anyone know why this is all of a sudden happening? Tried turning off Voice over LTE to see if that is causing it. This happened yesterday also. It's killing my battery. On T-Mobile.

WiFi Barely Functional

So for about three weeks, using this phone has been a hellish nightmare. I can't use WiFI for more than 3 minutes before it stops working. The only way to restore functionality is to reboot it, and I love this phone, but that issue is keeping me from enjoying the phone. Anyone know why it's doing this?
