Hey guys I'm going to be very forward with this. I am new to android and I seem to have soft bricked my lg O3D. Last thing I did was put the clockwork mod on and now it is stuck on the lg logo, I can get to the recovery but it does nothing. I've been searching for hours on how to fix it but always find a problem. I have no idea what I'm doing any advice would be appreciated.
Try hard reset. But you will loose all you data!!! Before you do that, take your SD and SIM card out.
1. Turn the power off. If your LG Optimus 3D is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
2. Hold the Home and Volume Down button
3. Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your device
Thank you for the reply, but I cant because the clockworkmod is on there that wasn't meant for my phone so I need to somehow put the default recovery on.
Hello. I flashed Cm7 rom, but forgot to wipe data and now I'm at bootloop. I can't enter recovery with vol down + home +power. Any suggestions?

try just with vol down and power button, when the LG screen appears don't push anymore. you don't need to push tap the home button
Update: I messed around with fastboot a bit more and managed to brick it entirely. It's stuck in a boot loop now -- it won't even power off -- and there's nothing I can do about it, so I just took it in to get it replaced.
Hey guys, I know this thread is very similar to others that have been posted, but I've already looked through them and haven't found anything that works for me yet.
My phone was already running rooted stock with TWRP for the recovery. I tried flashing CM10.2 but it was for the wrong model (I downloaded D802 but my phone is of course D801. Oops). Upon reboot, the LG splash screen appeared and then immediately went to a black screen saying
Code:
Fastboot mode started
udc_start()
When I attempt to turn the phone off it just reboots to that screen again. I am still able to use fastboot, and have tried wiping the phone and re-flashing TWRP. It doesn't throw any errors but I still can't actually boot into recovery. I can't use fastboot to flash a new ROM onto the phone though, since it doesn't like .zip archives apparently, and I can't find a .img file of a ROM anywhere.
When I try to use flashtool as described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541087 it says the device is not connected (probably because it's not in download mode?).
Any help would be much appreciated. All I need to do is get into recovery, it shouldn't be this hard.
That's the same error I got a few days ago when I mis-flashed a new recovery (oops. and be careful when you use 'dd', because a typo can nuke your recovery). I'd get that error message if I tried to boot into recovery, but if I just let the phone boot, it would boot fine. It was easy to fix, but that was because I just used Terminal Emulator to re-flash recovery.
Your best bet might be to go back to stock. Try this thread.
similar issue, but not quite

I'm not in a boot loop, as I can power off and it will stay off. But I am stuck at the Fastboot mode started screen (I can't get download mode to come up). When I do try to get into download mode it flashes for a second, but then goes back to the fastboot mode screen.
I'm hoping to find an image that I can use the fastboot flash recovery command with to re-write my recovery partition.
Any suggestions on where to find this image file? Or am I going down the wrong path?
Thanks,
Joseph
Did you get it to work? I am in the same mode.
I'm stuck here as well. Looking for a fix
Did you guys find a fix? I need help with this...
similar thing here with me
any solution
i cant boot at all, not into download mode, nor recovery,
got this too because i was installing a note3 rom to my d800, acciodentally of coarse. i managed to boot to twrp by doing the power and volume down technique. and from twrp i restored my recent backup
To anyone still stuck in this situation (reboot loop, no recovery etc):
- Unplug the phone from the USB cable
- Hold down the power until the phone turns off
- Wait a couple of minutes with the phone off
- Now hold power and volume down buttons
- When LG logo appears - release power and volume down and hold them again
- When you see a white screen with "reset to default instructions" -- do what it says, meaning pressing the power button a couple of times
THAT should work.

Not sure if you've tried this. To power off fully, press and hold the volume down and power buttons. Do not let go of the buttons. The phone should turn off and the LG logo should appear. Continue holding until after the LG logo disappears. The phone should be fully off and won't turn back on at this point. If you don't see the LG logo, just keep the buttons pressed for about 10-15 seconds and you should be fully powered off by then. You should be able to enter download mode from here (press and hold volume up button while plugging in USB from computer). If you are able to enter download mode, then use the LG mobile support tool in my thread and follow the instructions. This should flash the latest stock system to your phone. If that doesn't work, I have a link to an alternate method for flashing the latest stock system on your phone. Hope this helps.

I hve tried this but after i confirm the reset it staight away takes me to the black screen
I followed the instructions on these video on youtube named ( solucion fastboot LG G2 D802 (PANTALLA NEGRA) ) User: ansiosillo
after finishing the process I click the fastboot reboot and my phone screen went black, after this whenever I plug it in to my computer multiple disk drives appear and it says that they need to be format, but my phone screen is black. It's an Lg G2 32G model from T-mobile. It was unlocked and Rooted.

The same thing happened to me after I rooted my device. Can you boot the phone or does it loop the LG Logo?
I'm not sure I was doing the same thing, but I screwed up some bootstack flashing and ended up in a boot loop. It wasn't until I started fooling around with the volume down/power buttons that I got somewhere. Most times it would shut off the phone, but once in a while after shorter presses I was able to get the Factory Reset option to come up which allowed me to boot into recovery. I luckily had things on the device that allowed me to correct my mistakes and now have a working G2 on Cyanogenmod 12.1
Did you try enter to download mode (power+volume up key when plugged) or hard reset ?
this was happening to me.
do you have twrp or CWM on it currently?
if so...
when the phone is off
press and hold volume down and power.
when LG logo appears release power button while still holding the volume down button.
repress and hold the power button while still holding the volume down button until you get the master reset screen.
press power button 3 times,
on mine it didnt reset it took me into twrp
also, I realized this was happening to me because I had used the LG flash tool to go back to Kitkat stock. I had not flashed the 30b bootstack and tried to install the CM 13 Nightly. It didnt like that. All was fixed with installation of the new bootstack.
Best of luck.

Try to hold all buttons of your phone down for about 10 seconds and then your phone should restart itself.
Force your device to reboot by holding volume down, home button and power button at the same time. Hold the buttons down until the device reboots.
From then you can attempt to flash stock firmware via Odin and then making sure that you have enabled OEM unlock in developer options and that you have the correct TWRP for your device (Check MD5, to make sure it isn't corrupted)
Didn't help!

Hey! How did you manage to solve the problem? I'm having the same issue.
Ok I won’t go into how I bot myself here but here’s where I am. Unlocked bootloader, no recovery, no rom, USB devices command isn’t showing anything anymore. When I boot it just sits in the white screen with the G for ever. I can hardboot to bootloader and when I try to boot recovery I just get a black screen with a picture of a dead android.
Please refrain from calling me an idiot as I’ve repeatedly told myself that many times.
Can anyone help me out of this???
Thanks
When you are on the screen with the broken Android hold the power button and volume up it should bring you to recovery I believe. It might be even hold the volume up first then tap the power key.

Thanks eevanskiteboards, the tip about booting when I had the dead android screen got me out of the ****. You're a legend! I had to hold the up volume and tap the power.
my steps were, for anyone else,
1. hardboot to bootloader
2. choose boot to recovery
3. screen with dead android , hold power button and tap up arrow
4. stock recovery appears
5. choose ADB sideload
6. sideload full OTA update from google after wipe.
7. profit!
interestingly when I did ADB Devices the phone never showed up yet I was still able to sideload?
anyhow now I am back to Oreo and I can try and get root again which I was unable to with Pie
I'm glad you made progress!
