Where can I find Honor 6A stock ROM? - General Questions and Answers

Here is a problem:
I was messing with my phone (HONOR 6A DLI-L22). I unlocked a bootloader and then install TWRP recovery image using fastboot and adb. Then my phone started doing the boot loop (like you turn on the phone and then the phone switches off by himself). And what I did afterwards is went back to fastboot end removed the recovery. However, I removed not just RECOVERY.img but also I removed CUST.img, SYSTEM.img and BOOT.img. Which means that my phone has no ROM. When you turn on the phone, the phone boots up only to eRecovery. The ROM that was instaled on the phone was Android 7.0 + EMUI 5.0. Now I need an actual stock ROM that can be compatible with my phone which I cannot find. I tried using stock ROMs that were made for Honor 6 PLUS and Honor 6. I used Huawei Upgrade Extractor to extract ROMs so that I can flash manually into a phone. But when I try to flash recovery.img, boot.img and cust.img, the cmd shows me this:
"sending 'recovery' (9604 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.306s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: image is not a boot image)
finished. total time: 0.316s"
This message shows for recovery, cust and boot. I also tried to put update.app in dload folder on external SD card and then flash it. Still no luck. So I am guessing is that I need to get an actual ROM image for Honor 6A. What should I do to make phone working?

I tried different stock roms that are made for Honor 6, 6PLUS and 6X. They do not work for my device. But I managed to flash custom recovery (TWRP) which works fine. Now I need to find a suitable boot.img, cust.img and system.img.

hi there
at the time of this writing, the website of honor support does NOT show any download for "6A", only for 6, 6 plus, 6X.
neither UK, ITALY, SPAIN web sites, that in fact are quite similar and show the very same downloads

Huawei P8 Max DAV703 Android 6.0 EMUI 4.0 64 GB chinese variant trying to convert to EU
Well I hope that it isn't completely FUBAR.. I know there has to be a way, but i forget how.
No fastboot, no adb support.. no recovery, no bootloader.. fastboot was only available through software.
I have hard reset which has reset it to bootloop, and I have system upgrade that whatever I do, crashes at 5%
Basically, I bricked my Huawei.
I partially rooted it with kingoroot without doing anything..
but other apps saw it as unrooted so i was going to do the proper way, unlock bootloader, etc..
Then I discovered the Huawei SRK tool for bootloader/kernel/recovery etc.
Checked if my bootloader was unlocked, it was..
restarted the phone, it was fine
Then I was going to flash the recovery, and that's when it went into a bootloop
Like always.. just the logo shows, and if i try to turn it off, it restarts.
Huawei P8 Max DAV703 Android 6.0 EMUI 4.0
hard reset works - pressiing vol up down and power pushes it into hard reset but it stays in bootloop.
usb in, vol down power - puts into update mode which stops at 5% with error.
My next idea would be to try and extract the necessary files and try to use the Huawei update extractor tool
but after trying many update files, I can't find the one that would work, unless it will just keep crashing at 5% always.
Would anyone know what I could do in this situation?

Honor 6A - Help needed

Hi,
I have just attempted to root my Honor 6A (which is no easy task, given its popularity) using TWRP installed via adb & fastboot.
Though when I got to Wipe my phone using TWRP, all the remaining files and folder were I believe encrypted (random strings of numbers and letters), therefore I couldn't find whatever image I was looking for.
I then attempted to reboot my phone and see what's going on, and only the navigation buttons are there, the rest of the screen being black, no android system.
I then attempted to use Huawei's eRecovery, but no luck, it can't find the "package" it needs to restore.
I also tried the fastboot + HiSuite option, it says the phone is not supported.
So what to do? What can I do? I have TWRP, unlocked bootloader.
I thought about flashing the stock rom but I can't find it anywhere, this phone literally has the worst support I've ever seen.
I'm thinking of just bringing this phone to after-sale services but not sure they'll help given the phone is unlocked and everything.

I didn't understand really well what happened. Did you successful install the TWRP? can you put here the download link? What did you do to brick your phone?
As you have already discovered there isn't enough "modding" on our phone (I have the same model). As far as I know the Honor 6A's stock rom is not published on internet yet. The only methods that I know to obtain the rom are: ask to Huawei/Honor for it (I've tried to contact them, but they didn't reply) or dump it using a custom recovery.
I dumped an official update, it is for the model DLI-L22 and you can download it following this link (size: ~400MB). The update contains several files, in particular there is the update.app archive that you can open with this tool, the files inside update.app are the following:
Code:
ABOOT.img CMNLIB64.img ERECOVERY.img MODEM.img SBL1.img
AMSS_VER.img CMNLIB.img GPT.img MSADP.img SHA256RSA.img
AMSS_VERLIST.img CRC.img KEYMASTER.img PACKAGE_TYPE.img TZ.img
APDP.img DEVCFG.img LKSECAPP.img RECOVERY.img
BOOT.img DSP.img MDTP.img RPM.img
It seems to contain the original recovery and other stuff that maybe can help you. Please pay attention, because it is not the full rom, it is just an incremental update, for example SYSTEM.img and USERDATA.img are missing.
The best solution is that someone with the TWRP makes a dump of the official rom, unfortunately I have still the stock rom and I'm not sure to install the TWRP. The reason is because I don't want to lose the official updates, so you should wait for some other user with the same phone that shares the rom.
Maybe you can try to flash some of the component from the update that I've dumped, but it is risky.
In my opinion, the eRecovery is completely useless., because it simply doesn't work. Maybe you can also try to flash the RECOVERY.img on the eRecovery partition (it should be called recovery2), but I'm not sure it is possible to do it on our phone. Then, you can try to install the full update through the official recovery. However, those images don't seem to be very helpful.
EDIT:
Some progresses have been made since the last time I checked, see this thread. Another possibility is to try some stock ROMs from other phones with similar specs (e.g. Honor 4X/5X), but probably it doesn't work.

Unbrick Huawei P10 Plus Oreo

Greetings all,
I have a Huawei P10 Plus and have updated to Oreo VKY-L29C432B360 and everything worked just fine. Previously it was on VKY-L29C432B170.
Then I updated it to VKY-L29C432B365 and now I have issues.
I can't power up my phone, it is as if my battery doesn't charge and after a while (with the USB cable plugged in), I get to this screen:
Error Mode
Attention!!
Please update system again
Error!!
Func NO : 11 (recovery image)
Error No : 2 (load failed)
I can fastboot (power and volume down), but can't update using HWOTA as I'm on Oreo. Tried different recoveries without any luck.
Any help will be appreciated.
Regards

If yes, what *.img files to I need to flash and what should the commands be to flash these *.img files.
Based on older ROMS (like Nougat), below are the commands to flash, but it is not working as I'm on Oreo.

Honor Mate SE No Recovery

I have a Huawei Honor Mate SE. I unlocked the bootloader, flashed TWRP, Magisk. Had everything great. I wanted to remove TWRP to update my phone. After I tried to flash stock recovery, I keep getting this error in fastboot:
func no 11 (recovery image)
error no 2 (load failed)
I had twrp working last night, but now everytime I flash recovery, it boots into that error menu. I tried flashing recovery_ramdisk, recovery_vbmeta and recovery_vendor all with stock img files. Anyone have any ideas? My phone will boot up normally and will work great, just can't update it and can't boot into recovery. Am I missing a partition to flash? Also I did try HiSuite and my phone is not compatible even though I backed up my phone with that program.
I also did try the dload method and it gets stuck at 5%. And last night when I did get recovery working, it wouldn't download from the server, just keeps getting error, and now I cannot even get to recovery

I was using Paranoid android 7.1 i believe but i wiped the phone so there is no Android at all at the moment, i tried updating to the latest twrp since i was getting error 7 trying to flash the stock room, stock recovery just says "failed to get information from the server" every time and for last i did flash it in the right partition, every comand i execute in fastboot it gives me that error and it's also important to mention that i can't find my phone in "adb devices" only in "fastboot devices". I saw some people using the Dload get the stock system back maybe thats an option? i dont know i feel completely lost.

In the old nougat days, Ive had the same problem. As I always say, dont use twrp on honor 8. They all suck! Anyways, did you tried eRecovery?
Or you should be able to dload a proper firmware in all cases. You just need to find the right package. It fixed me the same problem in the past.

I realised you said that you updated your TWRP and you cant get in. Did you tried different buttons? I remember some of twrps had volume up + power button and some had volume down and power button and some had vol up and down and power button. Try everything. The frp lock is probably because it somehow disabled oem unlocking by itself. I am gonna try to find a link for latest nougat for you. Good luck man!
EDIT: You should try to relock yor bootloader and unlock it again.

Could you try to follow this guide to see if it works:
https://www.stechguide.com/downgrade-honor-8-from-nougat-to-marshmallow/
It may lead your to marshmallow but hopefully it makes the device works. You are going to need the B131 update.zip and flashing rollback package (the site has rollback package download) using dload first before flashing the B131's update.app using dload.
So basically:
1. Flash the rollback package's update.app using dload
2. Flash update.app from B131's update.zip using dload
Once your in marshmallow, you can go back to nougat because there should be at least a twrp for honor 8 marshmallow somewhere around xda

I am really sure that this would work because I tried it before and I was able to go to Marshmallow without any software install fails using dload.
