Yes that's why I did this. AEX is really battery friendly and stable. And I added MotoCamera too so will work for most people's needs.
AEX v5.1 soon.

It's not the official one. It's just a guy who saw a link. This build is just more updated and stable, also comes with MotoCamera.
Previously it was maintained by my friend FireLord
The ROM was last updated in September. He is busy with his exams. Moreover he has greater responsibilities for the AEX. From his permission I have acquired to maintain for MZP.
Though I'll have the official word soon!
Right now it's unofficial but no less because Aman helped me make this better!

Great rom I have it since September, try other but return to aex, impatient for aex 5 with android 8.1, will be 64 bits ??? Thanks
i do like this rom ive used the other developers version before also but on this one the camera keeps failing to start. I get error camera has stopped. I figured out that when flashing a different kernel like the lineage fixed kernel or valaryan kernel so that modules can be installed but it breaks the camera.
I had been getting a lot of apps failing and crashing on this latest release earlier today, anyone having the same issues.

Yes. It was hard putting Moto Camera in it and there is a build of 13/01 where it would keep crashing. It was fixed in the 14/01 build. Don't change the kernel, trust me the safety net is working already and battery is good! And it'd surely mess up the camera. I'll look in to the issue, though.
But how can I install magisk modules without the fixed lineage kernel.

Do a clean install. This would happen if you reflashed your system partition without wiping data. Just do a clean flash of the rom, gapps and whatever you need at once. And don't reflash the rom zip without wiping data. It corrupts the apps!

Thanks for the tip but I do, do I fresh clean install on every rom if now or an update. I never deal with a dirty flash, learned over the years can not trust a dirty flash in any manner.

It will only break MotoCamera. The other camera app i.e SnapCamera will work fine.

Yes I totally agree. I was testing the MotoCamera app so I was stuck in bootloop, I reflashed system without touching anything else. Rom booted but all the google apps broke. Even some other apps. Some would say No internet Connection some would just force close. Then I uninstalled and installed them again, they'd work fine! So I'd tell you the same thing, either try reinstalling them or just do a clean flash. It'd surely work!
Excuse me @AmulyaX is it normal to have 2 camera apps(moto & snap)? ( I expected to have only moto camera.........)

Unknown device will be fixed later! OTA is broken because of that!
I can't install any APK manually, can't click on the "Install" button I've already searched and the main cause could be a Screen Brightness Dimmer app, but don't have these apps :/

Change gapps. I had this problem with opengapps, wiped system and reflashed rom + Dynamic gapps and everything is ok now.
One request: is possible to remove superSu from zip? With new magiskSU is better let the user to choose a method to root the decide.

I hope you haven't enable omini switch... Just check that switch if it is enable so just disable that... and you problem will be fix.

It's because I'm such a fan of this ROM, that I'm anxious to see everything working, it's going to be my 8.1. It was one of the best Nougat. From what I've tested, only these three most serious problems affect ROM, otherwise, it's perfect. Congratulations to the developers!

I did a clean flash and brightness slider is not working, it slides but brightness is always stuck at maximum. Also, navigation bar is disabled by default (I wonder why). Going back to AOSP

I am facing the same issue. Also ui is lagging sometimes.
Is magisk working on this new build?

OMG 3 months lol thats too long. This device can rum every rom , the problem is making the code changes ( it can be a pain specially pure aosp ). Im testing google´s aosp but at this moment play store , gallery , and answering calls are fc/not responding , i have it almost finished , i wont say ETA but it´ll be available soon for you all. I want to thank the big work of the rest of devs without their contributions and work this would not have been possible . Thanks too to the users , their feedback and understanding that building a rom has its tricks and some times one fix makes another bug . Btw sorry for the waiting haha i did not know you were waiting , because almost everyone or uses MIUI or PsyMan´s PixelExperience.

Im testing google´s aosp but at this moment play store , gallery , and answering calls are fc/not responding , i have it almost finished , i wont say ETA but it´ll be available soon for you all. I want to thank the big work of the rest of devs without their contributions and work this would not have been possible . Thanks too to the users , their feedback and understanding that building a rom has its tricks and some times one fix makes another bug . Btw sorry for the waiting haha i did not know you were waiting , because almost everyone or uses MIUI or PsyMan´s PixelExperience.

One tip : Use Google Camera ported for SD820/1 . The stock Camera2 Sucks ass hell lol. Or if you want you can install it along with Camera2.

@EvangelineDEV, thanks for the new ROM flavor to offer. I couldn't help but notice in the OP there was nothing in reference to flashing either Magisk or SU for root. Can either one of these be flashed after GAPPs to include in the ROM? Just want to be sure before I proceed to do so.

Decided to give this ROM a try as suggested in the OP without any flashing of root. Simple Wipe, then ROM flash, followed by GAPPS. After boot, I received the following Encryption Error Message:

Thanks i was about the flash Magsik but this one im seeing for first time...Google Pay(TEZ) is working normal in AOSP with out Magsik but IRCTC shows this error..

Given all permissions after installing the app.. seeing the issue for first time. IRCTC app works fine in AICP ROM but it is creating issue by not opening.

I can't find the settings to change the alert slider or to swap home/back button order...?
Looks like button settings are broken. If I search for "Button Backlight" there is an option, but when I tap, it doesn't show in the settings menu.

There is no options to change the alert slider settings, I will try to integrate that in next build, for swapping back and home button you can configure the button settings under settings-->extensions-->>system-->buttons

oh I've seen these reviews... decided to stay on skydrogon till I could ensure the unofficial aex stable enough and able to use fingerprint for pay...

I will stop pushing updates to the unofficial ROMs with less user base , as you can see I already posted a poll in viper and Dot os thread if they need updates or not . There is no point in keeping all ROMs updated if no one is using those .
