Works, but you need version 4.1 of the apk as 4.2* Is for android 7.1+

Of course it works !!
Sent from my HUAWEI MHA-L29 using XDA Labs
Don't try slow motion mode in Google Camera 4.1 it crashes camera
Could you state the exact apk version of Google Camera that you used?
I got now a hold of a Mate 9 and the photospheres are blurry/slightly out of focus.
(Is used com.google.android.GoogleCamera_4.1.006.126161292-41003513_minAPI24(arm64-v8a)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk)

4.1.006.135988111,
I think. I took the latest 4.1 one, also from apkmirror.
ARM one, not ARM64.
Looking into this more it seems like it only works when resultion is set to:
16:9 - 8,9
and not with
4:3 - 11,8
Could you please cross check that you also get blurry images when using 4:3 and photosphere?

Blurry for me when using 4:3.
Edit: Tested again with 4:3, and not so blurry this time.
I'm in a pretty dark room so light from monitor seems to interfere.

For me, it now works with both resolutions, but always the first sphere after opening
the app is blurry, and the second is perfectly fine. There is soemthing odd going on.
Also on Huawei p10 and p10 plus photo sphere is out of focus.
I tried the camera of streetview app, the cardboard camera app and the photo sphere and panorama Function of Google camera. Also with Google camera apk 4.1 .Always blurry.
Hi,
I've searched a lot around google for the Gcam mod that works on Huawei devices. Although I did find the app, only the standard front camera works. Neither the Landscape or either of the portrait mode options work.
I'm guessing it's because the Mate series have Kirin processors. So I just want to know if there's an apk file for it.
Hi
I found this google camera port and it works perfectly specially in portrait mode and the result seem to me better than orignal camera
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mnj1ypaQSQ6wDS33JFKGsJf4rp068FVf/view?usp=drivesdk
back camera and front camera with hdr+ work without problem even in portrait mode :good:

I can't be the only person who would LOVE to see a photo gallery of comparison pics, shot without and with the Gcam.
If you get a moment and feel like showing off, I'd appreciate it.

Hi, can you please re-upload or update the link on a working gcam app. Thank you
no way to select the ultrawide camera with the google camera app
i been looking for apps that use triple cameras with no luck
the front facing camera that comes preloaded with Asus Rog Phone 2 has heavy filtering in video mode with no way to disable it, horrible
The Google Camera Go was ported by a developer (Parrot?) to all Exynos SOCs. It's a stripped down version of the main Google Camera. It doesn't have Photo Sphere, night vision, Panorama etc. It has HDR mode, Potrait mode and the normal photo and vudeo modes. It's also very stable. I haven't tested it extensively but I will and report.
I will try it too
Looks good so, far
The older version from here works for photosphere and panorama

Halo,
I'm trying to use the U-Wide camera of the P40 pro in my app.
i used both camera2 and camera kit (huawei camera engine) and in both i couldn't retrieve the U-Wide or set the High res camera option
is there any way to acheive this ?
using CameraKit, in the Bokeh mode, i was able to retrieve the U-Wide but the background is blurry so kind of useless for me ..
any help would be so precious ,
thank you,
