I rebranded my Mate 9 (C567) to C432, I cannot get oreo update - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

I rebranded my Mate 9 (C567) to C432, I cannot get oreo update. I tried Hicare, there's no update. I tried Firmware Finder, there are several updates , however, none of them was approved to be installed. How could I get the official oreo updates with C432? Many thanks!

Now I am on MHA-L29C432B198

The oreo MHA-L29C432 8.0.0.361 build No. 107978 can pass the verification, and I installed the update, however, it showed my phone is unlocked! Actually I locked my phone. What is wrong?

Hi, what method did you use to get Oreo? I'm currently on Nougat on my MHA-AL00

NXT-L29 no Nougat yet

Hi there
I am still on build NXT - L29C636B193 with June secuirity patch.
I have the dual SIM L29 4gb gold variant. I am in the UK.
Still waiting for Nougat. From reading around it seems that almost everyone has already recieved the official OTA...
I have also seen people manually flashing the OTA but I am worried I may lose my warranty and make certain apps like Android Pay unavailable.
All advice is appreciated
Thanks:laugh:
If you want to have warranty, stay at stock.
There is a major difference between nougat and mm (in look and performance for me). I dont need my warranty because - 1) ive bought it in china , 2) what does warranty cover? if i crash screen - warranty is worthless, if i crash software - i can fix it by myself - so its useless...
I ve swaped soft for european L29C432B320 from DL-00 and i dont care about OTA or some****.
Just flashed, rooted and using as always. For me root is necessary, so warratny is useless anyway.
The only thing is that if something bricks your phone like e.g. melting in pocket (vide SGS Note7 ) there is nothing you can do...
So - for me - just manually flashed nougat and root it and its ok.

So can I do this without losing warranty or rooting?
Because I want things like Android Pay to still be intact.
Thanks

Are you in Europe as well?
Because I want to know if my imported Huawei Mate 8 will receive an official OTA from Huawei...
Thanks
I receive the Ota only to the converted C432.
On original C636 no Ota Updates
Can I load the latest update onto the device so that the system update menu will recognise the update?
Maybe use dload or somrthing?
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Hi there
When I contacted the European chat helper in the Hi care app, they said that my model the NXT - L29 will not get OTA updates while i am not in Southeast Asia?
I don't know if this true as it sounds bizarre, most devices are still updated when not in their home land.
What model number is yours?
Thanks
checksum error
Hi there,
the update appears and it starts to download, but most of the time, I get a checksum error. Only 2 times (out of perhaps 8 downloads) it downloaded properly, so far. The device restarted and got stuck at the "Your device got unlocked and can't be trusted." and "The device is now booting" prompt. I let it rest for more than 3 hours, but nothing happened.
So: none of the categories in the poll apply to me: I seem to get the update, but cannot install it.

I finally figured what was wrong: I had a bad (as in not accepted by the system) update in the dload folder of the sdcard. Thus even after flashing TWRP via adb or the stock firmware upgrade, that was tried and denied, first.
Once I removed that folder, I could successfully install TWRP and the latest CM/Lineage build (alpha-4).
To actually answer your questions: Yes, CH, and yes, bootloader unlocked.

Hi there
On the firmware downloader app, a new update has been launched but it is B330? Emui 4.1?
Take a look below

I had manually uppdated to B521 and tried to update to B563 trough the Firmware Finder without success.
Then I downgraded to B193, tried update to B563 and failed.
Updated to B211 then and did factory reset. After restart I got new firmware showing in system update in settings.
So I´m guessing it´s official OTA update as I didn´t update through Firmware Finder.

Can i rebrand mate 9 while on Oreo

Hello guys,
I have mate 9 C636 B362 oreo.
The problem is am now living in europe
Which makes my phone unable to get updates through default system update and very slow to updates to go through firmwarefinder
My question is can i rebrand the mate 9 while I am already on Oreo to c432
Thanks
it is workable on Funky Huawei, but the price is quite expensive.
i've sucked on engineer mode when I rebranded china oreo version to European version, i was sure i turned off the FRP function, but when i finished rebrading , the FRP changed to lock status. i searched lots of way on website but not workable.
the final solution is use Funky Huawei with paid, it is quite easy but need money
I had the same issue with my mate 9 C185 region on Oreo not getting it's in UK. I used hisuite to rollback to nougat. Connect to PC and run hisuite update. It tells you you are on latest firmware but tab asks if you want to install previous stable firmware. This fully resets phone back to nougat - so do a backup. Once on nougat you can rebrand to c432 using hwota method. You will need to get bootloader code from Huawei first. This worked for me anyway.

BLN-L21 Rebranded to -L22, no Oreo by OTA availlible?

Ther are some debranding- instructions for Europeans and US to L22, with informations for updating to Oreo.
It shoud be possible, just wait after debranding to L22 for automatic OTA-Update. But I never heard from anyone, who got ist. Gerneraly the last update I have seen for L22, was B369. Firmwarefinder shows only updates half a year ago. Are these infos true or is the only way, to use after debranding a seperate couple of actions, to get Oreo?
Often I see also questions for help, to get back from oreo to nougat. Special reasons well-known?
Thank you for any information!
Did you get any update via OTA after debranding.
Because I did from b340 to 350 and then I updated to Oreo manually back in july.

After debranding was B368 and I got after very short time B369 automatic and later B340. Now it shows
BLN-L22C675B369 EMUI 5.0.2 and in last line Custom Version CUSTC675D001.

There is a possible workaround which I did last week.
First, I had upgraded version of Android 8.0 (MHA-L29 8.0.0.375(C567)(Stock Official) and possible to obtain the bootloader code when I start this process.
Here is what I did.
1. Downgrade to Android 7.0(EMUI 5.0) by using Huawei's HiSuite software
Click "Update" and select earlier version.
Current : MHA-L29 8.0.0.375(C567)(Official)
Earlier : MHA-L29C567B190(Official) | 2.45GB | Android 7.0(EMUI 5.0)
2. Using 3rd Party tool/service(about $5), I was able to get the bootloader code
In my case, I used DC-Unlocker tool(FREE) and purchasing 4 credits($4.71).
With the bootloader code, you can move to the next steps(root, custom ROMs, etc...)
Hope it helps!

In fact, I was not sure mine(from Android 8.0 to Android 7.0(EMUI 5.0)) could also downgrade, too.
(Yes, I did not expect to work to be honest with you.)
It would be good to try since it does not cost anything except your time (back up data and actual trying).
Again, I started from MHA-L29 8.0.0.375(C567)(Official Stock) to MHA-L29C567B190(Official) | Android 7.0(EMUI 5.0)
Hope it works for you, too.

Yes, I saw this before I try - Well I took the risk.
I can only assume that my phone was fine since it was stock & locked boot loader when I downgrade.
Now, my phone is unlocked boot loader & rooted with latest OTA Update applied - when OTA applied,
it locked the boot loader again which I had to unlock it again.

Thanks & Really Sorry for misunderstanding & misreading.
Starting 8.0.0.377 and newer version can't downgrade it => it will brick the phone!
Up to MHA-L29 8.0.0.375(C567) and lower versions can downgrade by using Huawei's HiSuite software.
Hope this clears and provide right(safe) information. I do not want to provide dangerous (which will brick) information to all.
Again, Thanks:good: and Sorry for my mistake previously.

Hi, I have MHA-L29 8.0.0.370 (C432) security patch 1 july 2018, can i unlock the bootloader with DC-Unlocker ?
I tried to downgrade with Huawei's HiSuite (version 9.0.3.300_OVE) but the "Update, swith to other version" doesn't appear.
Up to which version 8.0.0.??? ( or security patch ? ) can Mate 9 be downgraded with Huawei's HiSuite
Up to which version 8.0.0.??? ( or security patch ? ) can DC-Unlocker unlock the bootloader ?
It seeems like you need to first upgrade from Nougat 7.x to Oreo 8.x WITH Huawei's HiSuite,
only then the "swith to other version" is available in Huawei's HiSuite to roll back from 8.x to 7.x ... correct ?

unfortunately there no unlock solution for us after gpu turbo ( from what i have read) and im plannig to sold my mate 9 as i have buying brand new xiaomi redmi note 7 and mi max 3.
this device has a very nice superb hardware but the locked bootloader really bad.
HI. I have a Mate 9 MHA-L00 with unlocked bootloader and installed KANGVIP ROM (Android 7...). I would like to try OpenKirin based PIE ROM, but in order to do that I would have to go back to stock EMUI and thus my bootloader would be re-locked. Is there a way to read the bootloader code again on an unlocked bootloader MHA-AL00? I am googling but can't find anything. I know there is DC-Unlocker but I would like to use that as a last resort. Thanks.

What is the latest firmware for ELS-NX9?

I have ELS-NX9 11.0.0.230 (C432) 1st October 2021 Security patch.
Should I be on a later version? I hear December patch is out with 11.0.0.246.
I have checked updates and HiSuite. No updates.
Thank you.
i Have 11.0.0.249
12.0.0.218(C432E3R5P2)
EMUI 12.0.0
i have 11.0.0.259 (C10E1R3P3) (Russia, EMUI 11.0.0)
im also stucked on .230, cant update to 260 or emui 12
Try using SIM cards from various networks. Swapping the SIM card worked for me. Also, use My Huawei app to check for the update.

Also ELS-NX9 C432 stuck on EMUI 11 .230 update. I've tried a few different SIM networks, no dice. I know some other people received EMUI 12 almost 2 weeks ago in my country. I don't understand why there's a large delay between devices of the same model. A small delay to spread the server load sure, but this?
yea, emui 12 came to my country weeks ago too
I just received EMUI 11 .260, the last update before EMUI 12. Finally some progress.
After that if no Emui12 on HiSuite, OTA or My Huawei app, search in erecovery (wifi).
i got both today, soon i installed .260 i got emui 12
I also got EMUI 12 now, but had to search in the My Huawei app instead. Normal update search gave nothing.
is jan/feb security patch available for p40 pro, or any update after 12.0.0.218
