No. J7 2016 will not receive Android Oreo update. Mid rangers receive only one major OS update.

Mid-range gets 2 major OS update, for exemple the J7 2015 was released with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and Samsung do an update to Marshmallow 6.0.1 and in September,to Nougat
1 update for mid-range (J5 and J5 2016) is because they doesn't have an Exynos they have a Snapdragon 410

Bro. J7 2015 or the J700f/h Only got the official Marshmallow update but the No official Nougat updates. We do have custom ported Nougat ROMs for J7 2015 which I am running. And Ruturaj Madam is right. I don't think J7 (2016) will get an update now. Its already 2018 no updates yet.

Yes sir. I know about the Nougat upgrade for the J7 2016 variants. But I was just saying that the J7 2015 variant did not even receive the official Nougat variant. So maybe J7 2016 variants wont have the oreo official upgrade. But if it gets it, even better
The Samsung J700M is a J7 2015 though.
I'd like to see any version of AOSP for The J700T variant...
I was told not possible because we don't have a device tree ...I've started working on one if anyone wants to help..

We'll never know for sure. But my bet is also for "no" - the J7s of 2015 and 2016 are pretty out-of-dated as of 2018. Damn marketing which demands constant, yearly smartphone releases.

Oh I did not see that. That was a Brazilian model I guess. J700f/h are Indian models. And sadly. We didn't receive any updates ? But I will be more then happy if any of the mid-rangers get updated to Oreo.

J700M or the J700f/h? See I m using J700f and it has 16gb internal space and works perfectly fine. But J700M model has 16gb internal space too I just searched it on Google. I think if any of the J series model get the Oreo update. Then someone will port them to these devices. Waiting for updates

Thier are possibilities but lets see. Even I will be buying a new boy soon so its not something which is going to bother me much. I can live with Nougat because it is still powerful and their aren't much changes in Oreo which are too good to die for it. I respect you bro for having a discussion here and gave me opportunity to grab some info. Thanks.

Samsung J7 2016(j710gn/ds) Help please.

Good day! I am new to android world of customizing. I have a dual sim Samsung Galaxy J7 2016. I got it rooted already so i have no idea what method was used to root it. I've read that j7 2016 is upgradable to nougat. If my phone is not rooted i may have the OTA update right? The problem is I dont have pc and OTA update is no chance. I have read some tutorial about the flashfire . Will that be safe to use to flash my phone with nougat firmware? please enlighten me. thank you very much.
I was in Marshmallow and install a ROM called Nougat stock for j7 2016 and I run normal and correctly my variant is J10MN I am from Panama.

Nobody seems to be able to that I can find, given it's that specific Verizon baseband. That's why I asked for a link to how.
