Hi all,
Would just like to know what your opinions are on either staying on Lollipop (for the moment) or upgrading to Marshmallow for S6-920F. I have purchased a brand new one recently on a sale and see it's loaded with 5.1.1
Bear in mind I'm gonna be custom modding and specifically need things like Xposed, Viper4Android, etc. I'm not sure how far S6 development for Marshmallow is regarding rooting, custom modding, etc., so I can wait for M development to get better.
Please spare me your thoughts for my pennies.
Regards!
:fingers-crossed:
I'm using M since the first beta with Xposed and other mods, it is better than L
I got one on thursday and update it right away , so happy about it this phone is a beast. Seems like a 2016 flagship.

1. The S7 still have 4K video recording.
2. It's not all about pixels , a 12mp camera can be better than a 21 camera.

Thanks for the feedback fellows!
All things considered, I think I'll hang around 5.1.1 until I get fed up. This is a great phone & looking forward to the next 2 years with it! :highfive:
I don't understand why you wouldn't update to Marshmallow.

What's the best, relatively bug-free Touchwiz-based ROM for Android M regarding S6? Don't mind Note 5/S7 improvements on it.
If it comes pre-loaded with Viper4Android & Xposed and is stable I would definitely just go there straight.

I think I found the solution, I noticed that my S6 running marshmallow, when I plug my otg to the phone, I accidentally made the ES File Explorer the default, I can't access the OTG via Samsung's default File Manager. So I went to Applications, go to ES File Explorer, clear defaults... plug my OTG Again, this time don't choose ES File Explorer, if it pops out, cancel it. Then the Samsung's File Manager will now recognize the OTG, and boom, I can now use my OTG properly via Samsung's File Manager...
Adoption rate for Android M is 4.6% of the total market currently while L is at 35.8%. That's quite a big margin.
Doesn't hurt to wait until M matures like a fine old wine...

M is running well and brings allot of improvements for the S6. It is definitively recommended to update! Even more recommended is going to XtreStoLite DeoMod Edition 3.2 ROM (stock kernel, stock settings), there you get a butter smooth experience all over the place with no issues whatsoever.
I have this itch to update my 920I to MM but I have two questions.
1. How is xposed running in MM. Are most of the modules compatible with MM?
2. There are reports of root issues more so with Tasker. For me, Tasker is very important.
Any pointers on these two issues will be helpful.

Exactly why I'm hesitant too! Once you on M then there's no turning back. And if you find out something's not yet working 100% like it did on a previous version then you have to wait.
For all that waiting one might as well have stayed on the older version. This was my experience with Lollipop so far...

I just have 2 questions:
- Is this version work with exynos processor?
- do i need to enable this app using adb commend? And install any other app? Or just install this apk and set it as default, because it crashed on me.
Edit: it works fine now after setting it as default, and no need to do any thing, juat install the apk and set it as default. Done.
Thanks

That fact alone had me passing to even try this version. I'll wait for the official update to Android Pie, I'm in no hurry.
For notification dots just go to notification access setting and allow the permission for the new launcher. It will work.
hi,
Samsung Experience Home 10 v10.0.0.61 was released.
Unfortunatelly, it doesn;t work for Android Oreo 8.0.
Can it be done something to be able to install it as previous version v.10.0.0.55?
Thanks.
I faced a bug after sideload Samsung Experience 10 launcher
Downloaded Experience 10 launcher for my Samsung S9+, after setting it to my default launcher, it worked for me but i faced a bug, the notification dots for apps not showing up. Rest the overall experience of using it was good.
sideloaded it from here: https://apkfeats.com/samsung-experience-10-launcher-v10-0-00-51-apk/
After install....is it like a normal app? Can I uninstall it like a normal app?

Clear cache and data of that app and set it as your default launcher. That should fix the problem.
Has anybody got the latest pixel 3 launcher up and working on op6 running android pie beta 4 ?
I haven't been able to use any pixel Launcher on op6. I use nova Launcher now and make it look like the pixel Launcher

I am not finding a download link anywhere for a Pixel 3 launcher uploaded on 9/28. I'm seeing one from 10/10, but not any from September.

Not much you can do with that. As per the gpl they have to release the kernel source. If you had root and recovery you could use it to build a custom kernel but since we don't it will be of no use. But Android 11 shouldn't be too much longer.
Just received Android 11 OTA update today for my LM-G900EM (Europe).
No issues so far, and good news: they finally fixed the VPN bug when switching to WiFi!
Received G900EM20b-EEA-XX update yesterday and lost mobile data connectivity. I thought maybe location (GPS) needs to be enabled for data to work in Android 11 but that's not the case.
BTW other changes: color of status icons and toggable icons changed, "emergency alerts" app was installed
EDIT: just needed to manually re-add APN entry for internet

Not much is different, emojis were changed in android 11 so that was quite noticeable and I used to use pixel launcher but now it doesn't work
So things I have noticed:
IoT integration in the Power menu to get the payment cards... doesnt work at all, not sure if its a geographic location lock or something (canada)
If I click open a notification from the lockscreen and unlock using fingerprint ... there is a janky finger print animation thing... which causes the fingerprint icon to keep displaying randomly on the screen :/
There seem to be 2 system emoji fonts installed... One LG and one is google cuz gboard shows the google version in messages app but otherwise the system shows the LG ones
Lockscreen for some reason only displays conversation notifications for me by default i have to swipe down which pulls down the notification tray to show all the "notification" section items
LG launcher STILL does not have auto sort by alphabetical order
Scrolling and general slugishness in the system that existed in android 10 is definitely gone
LG and their sad state of software ...
After update I feel like system is kinda unstable. I am constantly getting UI freezed. Except few changes in quick settings panel and chat bubbles, I do not see any changes and improvements.
I don't know if I'm imagining things but the fingerprint sensor seems to be a lot worse, the brightness has gone down and battery drains a lot faster, camera is a lot slower. I can't see anything that's been improved going to downgrade it back to the old version its unbearable.
Hi all, just received my Android 11 update on my Velvet LTE in Belgium.
Hello, is there a way to flash back from Android 11 to Android 10.
I have a LG Velvet 4G LM-G910EMW (Germany).
I would be very grateful for any links or tips.
Thank you very much.
Yeah, pretty sure you can downgrade to Android 10. You can use LGUP, just make sure you download android 10 KDZ from http://lg-roms.com/
