Will Andromeda work on Samsung devices running Oreo? - prjkt.io

I know Samsung Experience isn't AOSP-based, but I'm trying to decide what I should buy to use Substratum on Oreo without root

Yes. It already works on Samsung devices running nougat.

Is there going to be Android 8.0.0 for the Galaxy S7?

I don't mean to be rude in any way, but are any dev's working on an Oreo rom for the S7? I know some device's have started receiving ports to Oreo, and I just wanted to know if the S7 will ever recieve a port.
Thanks
S7 will receive an official update to Android 8.0 from Samsung so no doubt there will also be custom 8.0 ROMs too

I wouldn't update it unless you HAVE to.
The phone seems to run best on KitKat from what I've seen.
Of course that operating system was what the designers of the phone planned for the hardware to run in the first place.
Other note phones are running 6.0.1
I have my Samsung galaxy s5 running 6.0.1. Also other note edge models are running 6.0.1 but I can't find the update for my edge model.

Root your phone.

Galaxy S7 930T Oreo Root

I want to root my s7 sm-930t running Oreo to remove all the bloatware and improve battery life. After rooting can I use an apk of netflix that is earlier than 5.0 version to install on my phone? Also do you know if Tivo and SlingPlayer will work on rooted phone?
Thanks

Is it worth it?

Hi everybody,
I've bought a Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro (2017) which was already upgraded to Android 9.0 which uses OneUI.
I don't really have a good relationship with OneUI, instead I like the Samsung Experience 8.1 UI which was used in Android 7.0.
Do you think it is worth it to rollback the device to Android 7.0 for the theme? Or if is there anyway I can use the Experience on Android 9.0?
Thanks for your time and help!

I recommend using newer Android version because of latest security patches. And some apps may stop working on older Android versions sooner or later. There are different themes for OneUI (via Samsung Galaxy store) ... or using a different launcher (via Play store).
Maybe you will find one looking like touchwiz or Samsung experience
