Is there a one click method that works for the samsung galaxy s6 running 6.0.1 ?
I have an ATT Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G870A that I would like to flash/root to kitkat .... is this possible. I have tried oden but it keeps failing. Is this possible and if so how do I do it .
I am fairly new to this and I am unsure if I can load Android 4.4 onto an A12. I am getting a new phone and was hoping to get a phone which would have Android 4.4. I couldn't find one with my provider. I'm kinda inexperienced so any help would be great. If it makes any difference I would be buying the phone and a plan through T-Mobile.
This is the phone I would be getting: https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone/samsung-galaxy-a12?sku=610214668899
Dear Npet2301,
you cannot flash Android 4.4 ("Kitkat") on a Galaxy A12.
It's simple: Android 4.4 was released in 2013-2014 for most devices back then. The Galaxy A12 comes pre-loaded with Android 10.
I'm a member of this forum for more than 6 years now, having more than six Android Phones, and I have never seen that you can flash a version, which is older than the one your phone was shipped with. Not even a custom Rom will make that possible and I also think that no developer will ever try that out either, since
a) Why Android 4.4? It's old and a total waste of potential on a phone with 2021 hardware on
b) It doesnt support the 64 bit Architecture processor of the A12
So, before you ask if any version after 4.4 (5.0- 9.0) can be installed on the A12. Simple = No.
*Some of the last Galaxy phones of the several Android versions were:
Android 4.4 (2014): Galaxy S3 Neo, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 2/3/4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy A3/A5/A7 2015
Android 5.0 (2015): Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3/4/5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy A3/A5/A7 2015/2016
Android 6.0 (2016): Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 4/5, Galaxy A3/A5/A7 2015/2016/2017
Android 7.0 (2017): Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 5/FE/8, Galaxy A3/A5/A7 2016/2017
Android 8.0 (2018): Galaxy S7, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S9, Galaxy Note FE/8/9, Galaxy A3/A5/A7 2017, Galaxy J4/J6
