You have changed vendor, or modified vendor(not stock), OpenKirin vendor will never ever work,, so get Pure stock vendor of your device... it will work for sure... if still not, change you data filesystem...
2.) What to do if my SIMs are not working ??
Go to Extras, disable dual sim, reboot phone,, now read carefully,,
1. Install hex editor app from playstore
2. Make sure you have file explorer with root privileges
3. Open hex editor and find modem,id file on this location root/sys/firmware/devicetree/base/hisi,modem_id and open it.
4. Write down all numbers in first row
5. Then go to root/system/vendor and find phone.prop and open it with text editor.
6. Find your modem id by using search and type 0x3xxxxxx where X is your number from hex reader
7. Then make it look like this:

I think everything, I'm using Omni right now but this should work too, only bug for me is sometimes a little lag in animations and the notification led not always working other than that, the rom is bugless.

Hey! So I've got a bit of a problem. I flashed the OmniRom for the first time and it booted fine. The SIM wasn't working so I flashed it again but now the phone gets stuck on Your device is booting now... I've tried all three roms from you (OmniRom, AOKP, LineageOS) but i'm still stuck on the same screen. Kindly reply with a fix.
FYI: I wiped all the storages beforehand exept MicroSD card. I dont know if its because of that. Right now theres only an Obb and TWRP folder in internal storage.

If it is about battery backup, the ROM has been out for only about half hr and how do You expect it to be reviewed...???
As soon as ROM gets uploaded, people start asking questions (how is battery backup, volte working etc etc).
Its clearly mentioned that volte is working. And to test battery backup, someone will have to spend some time with ROM. Have patience if you cant test and report. Let people try ROM, they themself will give their review.
Downloading... Will flash now and report on VoLTE and about battery in a day or so...

Some customisations not working, recents button takes to menu and I havent found a method to fix that without using the zip or button mapper app (in Omni settings You can map Home key to show recents)... Booting is really fast... Night light working and also VoLTE (I didnt check it intensively)... SafetyNet fail...

I actually moved to elite rom but can you tell me how to replace libcutils.so from the twrp backup..... As i have to force stop playstore and then open it again to complete installation.... Also installed app is not shown in app drawer

Got to twrp, you should have libcutils from ur stock vendor nd mount vendor... Then use twrp file manager nd replace the file... Thwts it... Wipe cache too

I didn't forget it but issue is, we are working on Aosp Oreo & LineageOS 15.1 as CodeOfHonor team... And we have fixed major bugs like wifi, bt, sound, display for Oreo Roms...
Now what you suggests us to do ?? Keep working on Oreo or work on Nougat for more better experience ??

Oh, I almost forgot about this unique ability brought by GSI's. I haven't tried it yet, flashing same firmware from different phone, so I'm still stuck at the concept of the installation by older ROMs.
Well, my bad. You should have just told the poster that he can.
But I don't know if the Honor 8 can still use the IR Blaster using our Treble ROMs, so doing so might come with some flaws.

successfully installed this ROM after multiple /data wipes - not sure what I did in the end, but I remember even changing /data filesystem to ext4... then erecovery kicking in and now that I have installed the ROM it seems /data is f2fs.
I have 2 questions:
- can I use opengapps with this ROM (seems like the basic Google functionality is already installed - maybe nano is integrated?)
- does NFC work? I cannot turn mine on

I have some doubt .... Everytime we have to wipe vendor along with sys,data,cache whenever we flash treble rom ? And if i want to go back to normal roms from treble roms.... Then wiping vendor is necessary ?

It's not necessary to wipe vendor partition everytime when you flash treble supported ROMs. But you should wipe vendor before flashing normal ROMs.

the benefit is to get fast andriod update.. cause some manufacture gave or smarphone a lot less update both on OS and security.. so the purpose of this Treble Rom are to solve that problem.. (that's what i understand from what i've read on some other XDA thread..
