I bought an S8+ yesterday.
Everything works fine till now. Blue notification led turned on when the lockscreen its on but there are no notifications....
If I turn the screen on the led will turn off until I turn the screen off again.
Im using always on display and full notifications.
Does anyone know what does this blue led means?

Mine seems to do nothing at all...
It's not a light, it's a light sensor used to automatically adjust the backlight on the screen.
The message blink is the circle pad area.
Hi all,
Today when I woke up to my charging HOX, the notification light was yellow instead of green!
When I unplugged it from the charger it blinked with a red notification light about every 8 seconds.
I rebooted the phone and it was normal, no blinking red and red when charging and green when done charging.
Anyone ever encountered this? This means that the phone has the ability to display the yellow light.
If it was possible it would be awesome.
Btw, i'm running CM 10.2.
(Maybe the yellow was some kind of combination between the red and the green?)
The device can look like it's displaying a yellow light at times when the red and green are combined. This is usually due to an incoming notification while the phone is charging. Did you have any notifications?

I am charging it at over 90% now and it is yellow again. No notifications as you can see in the picture below -

I don't know why but it seems that overnight my notification led stopped working. No more lighting up at incoming messages or while charging. But it is not broken since it still lights up during boot.
I used Galaxy button lights to disable the button lights. Then I removed this app because I thought it affects the notification led in any way. After that I even rebooted my device and now the button lights don't work aswell.
Edit: have both working again. But still don't know what was causing this. I also tried LED blinker led control to test the light. When it was installed the led wasn't working but without the app it does again. Maybe because the app needs access to the notifications.
The button lights work aswell. Just reinstalled Galaxy button lights, re-enabled the button lights and deleted the app again.
Both these solutions doesn't make any sense.
im using stock rom light manager for notifications, and have it checked so every notification lights up the screen.
the problem is when the screen starts dimming in a minute, just before locking and letting the LED kick in, it wakes the phone up back to a fully lit up lock screen...and the cycle always continues until I lock manually with finger.
any help????

Check your settings in light manager, make sure there is no notifications pending in there, any you have say read from the lock screen which doesn't appear in my experience clear these as read. Once in a while I have to go in and cancel the notifications (lightflow) is what I use, although I just use to to illuminate the led's not the screen (otherwise my battery would be flat in half a day)

I'm wondering if there is an android app that creates little notification blinking lights for notifications, so for example, if I get a text and a facebook message, there would be a blinking orange light, and a blinking blue light on the screen. I just got the S10 and I miss the LED from the S8. I don't want always on display to suck up battery, I just want to have little blinking lights when a notification comes. If the lights could be on screen, and have multiple and be customizable, I would definitely pay for an app like that!
