I have a device that I use as a phone and one I use as an mp3 player separately to keep my battery on my phone in the green so to speak.
My query is does anyone know of any way I can use my watch as a bluetooth remote or similar for the MP3 player without having to disconnect it from my phone?
I know I can swap the connection but this requires messing about and I was hoping to find something that avoided this.
Apologies if this is the wrong section.

Hey, I've searched through google and these forums but I can't seem to find this being asked anywhere else. The problem I have is whenever I connect the included headset/headphone earbuds included in the touch pro package, the phone automatically launches Windows Media Player. Is there any way that I can get this to stop? The only thing that I want to autolaunch is S2P.
Thanks guys!
Hi All,
Is there a way to make my Android phone (whatever it is) as an bluetooth headphone/headset?
I'll try to explain it in other words. I want for example route all my PC AUDIO STREAM (IN/OUT) to my Android via Bluetooth and manage it from Android.
So the end configuration would be an Android as an headset able to stream the audio from Android's Mic to my PC and to receive an audio from PC.
Same thing as between two Android Phones.
I mean, when i'm receiving a call, it would be nice to forward that call to another Android phone via bluetooth because the other Android phone will be like a Bluetooth headset.
I'll really appreciate all kind of suggestions.
Thanks
Francesco
i was actually thinking of the same idea last night..but i couldnt find any app that could stream audio from my pc to the phone..
may be i didnt searched enough?
I am also searching for something like this.
Did you find an app that could do it?
I did some searching both online and in the market myself and couldn't find anything related to these purposes. I would like an app for this so that I can lay in bed and watch a movie without disturbing others with the audio. I could just listen to headphones through my Droid X.
The most likely software developer to develop something like this, and has yet to make any smartphone appearances is Soundflower. I love Soundflower on my mac and it makes so much sense that they would develop an app for something like this.
i'm looking for app that will enable my phone to call(and make conversations) trough other phone via bluetooth.did anybody come across such app?
Hi, digging up, I was looking for this kind of feature to watch movies fullscreen VLC on my desktop computer from my bed, without having to buy meters of extra headphone cable or a wireless headphones.
I came accross Jamcast which uses wifi network instead, but it's much too complicated, laggy, and expensive shareware.
Bluetooth is the way to go, but we need to be able to use android as a bluetooth headset.
Anyone got news ?
I'm also interested with doing this. Found any app for this purpose?
I've searched for a while, and found none.
BUMP. this could save me from buying expensive headset which can't even last 1 day!!!
Someone custom-implemented the needed Bluetooth role
It looks like some Android device has custom implementations of both A2DP sink role and HFP hands free unit role. I can't post links yet. Google this:

Was wondering if there was an app that would allow me to connect my PC and Windows Phone together via bluetooth and auto lock the PC when the phone is away?
I found some apps for Windows but they were very lacking in functionality. I was wondering if there was one that would also notify my phone if my PC has moved from its current position. This can come in very handy.
WP Bluetooth is just for Calls, it doesnt even let file transfer possible.

This sucks and needs to be addressed by MS as soon as possible if they don't want to fail like WebOS did.
Im not sure about you guys, but my Windows Phone can use Bluetooth for more than just calls. When i pair my phone to my computer with Bluetooth it would allow me to stream audio to my PC. This includes calls, speech, music and video (audio only). So for the time being, A2DP is good enough.
But none of that answers the question, its kinda off topic
If im able to use my Bluetooth for current, simple proximity apps, then adding an alarm to said app wont be difficult. Since it doesnt require advanced Bluetooth standard support, it just monitors when a bluetooth connection has been lost and sets off the alarm.
So im guessing said app doesnt exist? Yet?
Hi all,
I am retiring my old HTC wildfire and imagined a perfect purpose: to use it as a music streaming device (I am probably not the first one to think of that) but the thing I would like to check if someone knows of any way to do this is: is there a way to remote change songs, volume etc?
So basically something like this or this but instead of the phone controlling the computer, I am looking for a way to do this from another phone (or computer) to a phone?
hope this makes sense?
Hello fellow XDA'ers,
My question is simple. Is there any way to sync/stream literally all my phone's playback to my PC ? I see all kinds of methods where audio/video files could be streamed from Phone to PC and some methods to stream audio from PC to Phone (like SoundWire), but I would like to be able to do the opposite.
Example Scenario: I listen music quite much via my PC, on a (some would consider) very high volume, chilling on my balcony, which prevents me from hearing my phones notification sounds & ringtone. I would like to be able to stream/sync those sounds to my PC so it plays the sounds through my speakers, connected to my PC.
I've been searching my *behinds* off on Google for this, also I looked (not thoroughly) through the forums here for any similar threads, but couldn't find one. I now depend on your wisdom as XDA'ers hehe.
Any kind of solution is welcome (via App, Server, Client whatever).
BTW: my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4 , GT-I9505) is rooted (OmegaROM v42.1 - XXUHOF2) with Android 5.0.1
Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards,
Well the way i do it, which in my case i consider to be the easiest way is: if your PC has bluetooth you can sync it to your phone and every sound from your phone will come through your pc speakers. If your pc has no bluetooth you can buy a bluetooth dongle 4.0 for about $20. And if i want extra all i do is connect my pc to my 7.1 sorround sound system.
