HELP! I want to change senstivity of my touch screen

Hi, I am new here and also new to android.
I have Galaxy Nexus i9250 (rooted + CWM). I am having an issue with the mobile, sometimes touch screen of the mobile starts being tapped automatically and i have to lock and then unlock to stop it. I want to get rid of it.
I recorded those events using getevent via adb, you can see attached image. If you watch the ABS_MT_PRESSURE value it is mostly lower than 00000045.
I don't exactly know how screen interacts with touch events and what this value means. Please guide me in right direction, can i solve this problem by modifying the OS or it is related to firmware? Please guide me in right direction.
Thanks
P.S sorry for my bad English.

[Q] Console mode resolution

I noticed that by default console mode output is set to 1080P, however since I have a quite old LCD TV I would like to change it to 780 (HD Ready) but it seems there is no way to change this through settings.
Does anyone had the same problem?
Do you think there is a possible solution?
Thanks

I have the same problem. I can connect the tablet to computer monitor and it works, but when I connect it to TV there is no signal (although cable connection is detected). Maybe there is some app that allows to change HDMI resolution?
nVidia really needs to release an OTA update with the ability to control the HDMI output resolution easily from the native ROM....
Has anyone been able to set a custom resolution, for XBMC for example, without loading a custom ROM?
If you are using a ROM, which one are you using?
You must be rooted but try this in a terminal window on the device (terminal emulator should work fine)
Code:
su
wm density 160
wm size 1280x720
or
Code:
su
wm density 160
wm size 1280x800
to reset it
Code:
su
wm density reset
wm size reset

Unfortunately this does not work. Tablet resolution does change, but HDMI signal remains unchanged.

Then I can't help
Ok, In my case it was actually a cable problem. It seems to work now.
On the other hand I still don't know if changing the resolution does change anything about HDMI output.

[Completed] Touch is dead only in few apps

Hi,
i own a p6000 Elephone but after soft bricking it i didn't used it for a couple of months. I was now able to unbrick it and install the MIUI 7 V5.10.15 ROM.
Everything is running smooth except for the touch. I wasn't able to click the Next button of the initial setup of the phone while the touch in the other areas was ok. From adb shell i downscaled the resolution of the screen and the touch began to work even in the dead area.
Now that i went through the initial settings, even with the original resolution of 1920x1080 the touch works fully on the desktops, but stops working only in the bottom area in some app (like phone dial).
PS Downscaling the resolution also makes the soft touch buttons to stop working.
any idea why?
Thank you

Inaccurate touch input on Replaced display

I use a rooted Redmi Note 3 but I really don't think this has a device specific resolution hence posting here. So I broke my display and replaced it from a local shop. (no option for replacement) The problem with the new one is that no matter where I touch on the screen it will be registered on a spot directly below it. For example if you have a QWERTY style keyboard, touching on Q will input an A. This is especially annoying while typing and browsing the internet(clicking the wrong link) . Is there an app or a command that enables me to correct this. Maybe by having the screen move a little without affecting the touch layer. I have a few millimeters hidden under the visible display not sure if it is related. Have corrected it with a screen resizer app but touch issue persists.

reduce screen resolution for android 9, 10

Hello.
I have a problem, please help. on android 9 I reduce the resolution, everything is fine. but when I do this on android 10, the image on the screen becomes centered, like an oval or a circle.
i use the command adb "shell wm size .....x....."
on android 9, as I understand it, the image is immediately stretched, but not on android 10. maybe you need to enter some other command via adb?
A better w

A better way to change density is in Developer Options. Go to "Minimum width" and change the value there.

more values can be used via adb, but it doesn't help as the image is centered. an oval image is formed, part of the image of which remains on the screen, but is located behind the oval black frames. how to remove them? I met this on samsung m31, android 10. sorry, I blunt, rebooted the device and the frames and the black oval frames disappeared. but another problem remains, the upper curtain also becomes active by about 1/3 of the screen, which makes it impossible to press any objects in the upper zone.
