I discovered this L Camera mod that is made for Nexus devices but allows upto 1/8s Shutter Speed on Mi A1. 1/8s is still nothing for Long Exposure photography but atleast its almost twice as Mi's stock manual mode.

in L Camera go to Options > Exposure > turn off auto exposure

the camera is very slow to take pictures in low light conditions (e.g. an indoors party) it takes about 5 to 10 sec between pressing the button and the camera taking the picture.
I'm running android 5.1.1 that came with the phone (not rooted)
I tried changing settings and selecting a specific iso setting, white balance and macro instead of auto focus does make it quicker, about 3 seconds.
Any thoughts?
Can anyone confirm what is the Maximum Exposure available in Pixel 2? You can find this in the manual mode settings of the apps like Manual Camera or Proshot? Thanks
The maximum exposure is 3s with Manual Camera...
With camera f5 it went to 4 seconds.
Hello everyone
I'm from India, recently I had enabled camera2api in my Redmi note 5 pro. but after that some camera apps issue with shutter speed and some with ISO. even I set shutter speed to 10 or 12 seconds but it clicks normally as default Shutter speed. Due to this I can't take any long exposure shots. Gcam is ok but manual.....
If anyone knows any fix or any port, please reply.
Max exposure time is 1/2s,hope someone could made a long exposure time patch
Hi
I take a lot of still life type photos inside in relatively low light - not darkness however, the subjects of the photos are lit by LED spotlights.
I find that the camera brightness is always too dark and on every shot i have to manually increase brightness in a photo editing tool
On my previous Android (OnePlus3t) I could permanently adjust the brightness level so it was always brighter and did not require post editing
Is there any modification that I can do with the MI Mix 2S? I have tried the MIUI Camera and also the GCAM APK posted to this forum but same issue - on neither can i permanently increase brightness (In GCAM I can adjust on the screen at the time of the photo but that is very fiddly to do and you only get a second or two before it reverts back)
I bought the MIX MIX 2S becuase of its "best in class" camera - but for me its a retrograde step from the OnePlus3T becuase of this brightness issue.
Do you mean the exposure setting in the camera app? You can lock that if you want.

Click to collapse
Yes.
unfortunately the padlock in the app also locks the focus, and everythime you refocus the lock comes off and the exposure reverts back.
My device is S22 Ultra Snapdragon version updated to its latest one ui 5 update with November security patch
In the internet blogs and forums, everyone is very pleased with fast shutter option in camera assistant released by Samsung through goodlock but I noticed an issue with it even though it is mentioned under fast shutter setting that image quality will be reduced slightly but when I turn on the setting and captured a few images and I noticed that HDR is not at all working even though auto HDR is turned on in camera assistant I know device has to process images faster if fast shutter is turned on but even when I click only a single image when fast shutter is turned on auto HDR is not working to test this I pointed the camera towards a TV screen and captured images with and without fast shutter
In both cases I only took a single image but not mutiple images and when fast shutter is turned on the screen over exposed as I have captured image from a distance so camera gave priority to foreground as TV screen is in background
But when fast shutter is turned off the TV screen brightness was balanced with HDR and foreground is also well exposed
I just wanted to know if anyone is facing the same issue or is it normal
