Recommendation for current US supplier of replacement battery? - Nexus 4 Accessories

I know there are other battery threads, the most recent seems to not be about US vendors. I looked through Ebay, quite a few sellers but the reviews are very depressing. Although there are clearly some satisfied customers, there are also quite a few bad reviews on every one I checked. Quite frequently, the review says the battery starts out ok, but fails after a month. Many complain of the fit not being right.
Has anyone got one in the second half of 2017 that has worked well for a few months and fit correctly?

Only ships this item to Europe.Due to IATA 1 April Changes that prohibits LiThium Battery as cargo on passenger Aircraft, when you order Batteries we only send by our Europe Economy."
I'm looking for a US supplier, so that won't work, but also the cost is just too high at 39 Euros, which is probably more than the current value of the phone.

It's half the cost of the phone, which is still a bit much. I think I got recommended a replacement, I'll update if I find anything

Hong Kong eBay sellers for batteries

I was looking to purchase the 2 batteries plus charger for around 10 bux or so on ebay, but there are a variety of sellers, If you made this purchase who was your seller and what was the experience in terms of both shipping time and quality of the batteries? there is one seller on there that shows pictures of the batteries that says its "made in japan/finished in china", wonder if thats a better battery? Thanks!

I have two from spider foot they don't last as long as the oem. Good for backup though.
I just got my order from spiderfoot yesterday. It was 11.99 for two batts and charger plus usb cord and car charger. I ordered on the 28th of Dec so that's what, about 13 days? Not too bad for snail mail I suppose. I got one charged up before work yesterday and it lasted 6+ hours with fairly heavy use, I have a boring job at times. The other one I charged last night has 51% left and has been running my phone since around midnite, moderate use(I do sleep!). Bottom line for me is I now have three batteries and a way to charge them outside the phone so having three charged overnite isn't a hassle. What do you want for 11.99 anyway? Lastly, the charger gets them to 100% unlike the screwy samsung charging system or code...finally full batteries again! Like I said before, what do you want for 11.99?

Kinda reminds me of a $20 dollar hooker. You got the clap. You get what you pay for. Why do you think it was so cheap?
You save money by buying a cheapass battery from someone in china. You know how much they cut corners to maximize profit? Don't cry when a lithium ion battery explodes or catches fire in your pocket. Even the chinese living in america know better than to buy stuff made in china. They know it's crap. I work with them, I see it all the time.

Talk about uninformed. You think they go through drastically different quality control? And go ahead and find me the articles from exploding batteries since you know millions of them are made in China each year. . . . .
Maybe you should lay off hookers no matter how much they cost . . . .

Very funny response. I'm tempted to scoop a bobo battery and charger too off Ebay. I find myself charging my phone 2x a day. I think I'll stay with domestic sellers though. Makes business a lil easier for a few different reasons.

Lol surprisingly I don't. That and I think it would be much easier to solve any issue that may arise dealing with someone in the States over someone halfway across the world. There are certain expectations that are implied.
Took 9 days for my spiderfoot order to arrive to Atlanta.

Last time I think I found someone who imported them from China and sold them on ebay for a couple of extra dollars, so it was basically the same. I've done this for numerous phones (just neurotic if not a bad battery) and I have never had a problem. I WILL say that the generics don't always seem to last as long (maybe not on first charge but they may die quicker) than the OEM one I got, but I also got an OEM off Ebay that was DOA so go figure.
As for blowing up in your pocket....I'd be more afraid of dying quickly etc. I doubt it will blow up, link please
went ahead and purchased from spider-foot, so far no explosion lol, can't complain for 11 bux...thanks

Dear j_m_bennett,
(1) What is the warranty for this item?
(2a) Is this battery degraded in any way from a new, OEM, Samsung-provided battery? How so?
(2b) Will this battery perform as well as a new, OEM, Samsung-provided battery?
(3) Your battery photo features a date printed on the battery that is even older than that printed on the battery that was sold with my phone 1 year ago. Why is this?

no surprise. all of the ebay and 99% of the amazon batteries are fake. some sellers seem to take the tactic of charging $15 to try and make you think they are real, some just sell them for slightly above what seems to be a $2 cost, but they are all fake.

Ebay Buyers Beware...Counterfiet Galaxy s 4 Batteries

I bought what i thought was authentic GS4 batteries, and from using them for two days I've deducted that they are counterfeit. The battery marked #1 is the genuine battery that came with my GS4, the battery maked #2 is one of several batteries that I've bought on Ebay. Neither of the batteries i bought will charge fully with the genuine GS4 spare battery charging system and neither battery works with NFC as advertised. Buyers beware of any GS4 batteries claiming to be OEM, unless it says genuine OEM and its looks like one on the right in the pic, don't buy it!

Damn!!! Wish I would have known about ectoo usa about a week ago. The other seller is ynfang2012 and I'm reporting them both to ebay and contacting pay pal to inform then of their fraud.
Pretty standard fake battery. I can see a slight indentation running from the start of the "A" in Samsung down between the C and the E of CE. This is probably part of the foam-rubber frame which houses a 750mah (if you're lucky) battery. If you can peel off the label that's probably what's inside. Even knowing this I've been stung. The seller usually has the sense to give a full refund to avoid negative feedback.
Edit - actually I see the numbers are the other way round. D'oh! So much for my career as a CSI..... :silly:
i said this so many times before but people buying OEM battery under $20 are going to be in for a surprise. there's that saying: you get what you pay for.
this doesn't just apply to the S4, there are fake labeled batteries out there for just about every phone..

when it comes from ebay; and a chinese seller, you can never be sure. lots of forgery in that part of the world.
This is news why? It's been happening for years. Still have fake Galaxy S batteries. If you think a brand spanking new battery from China or some odd 3rd party seller on Amazon for $7 is real, you deserve to get taken.

i second this! we need to use our minds
Exactly. The phone is new. OEM batteries won't be dirt cheap. In time they'll get down to the $15-20 range. 3rd party extended batteries from reputable companies tend to be good value. Anker makes some nice ones, usually a few hundred mah's over stock but fit with the stock cover. Just roam around on Amazon. They'll usually come with cheap universal battery chargers. I end up using them to charge a variety of batteries.

I've known this for a long time, if they claim an oem battery costs less than half of the original, and is not sold by a reputable source, bestbuy, (amazon llc direct) samsung etc...
the battery comes from china or Hong Kong, it's more than 99% to be fake.
phones have been my hobby since the startac days, been to Hong Kong many times, some times the fakes are easy to spot, nowadays, they can copy even the holograms.
Only best way to avoid counterfeits is to suck it up and only buy from reputable sources.:good:

Wish I saw this sooner. I bought a cheap X2 OEM looking ones + wall charger for 9.99. However not from those sellers. However.... at that price if it gets me enough juice I could care less. I just need it to last me as long as my N2 with OEM Battery + the knock offs if needed.

[Q] Where do you by your batteries?

So I've seen many threads concerning ebay+batteries = fake. I'd like to ask you guys where you get the not-so-fake batteries from (online). I've seen a couple of places that sell the (supposedly) original ones (A-Grade?) along with another listing for the fake ones which they call 'wholesale' or R-Grade (not sure what the R is for).
I want to know if there are any trusted sources to get an original battery. Tried calling the dealers in my country and they said that they don't issue phone 'parts' unless it's given for repairs.
so yeah,. where do you guys get your batteries from?

If you want to guarantee your battery is OEM than you need to buy it from either your local carrier store, Samsung, or a big box retailer like Best Buy. However, if you do not mind the extra bulk I cannot make a higher recommendation for a Zerolemon Battery/Case. I would link it, but I am a newer user and cannot post links. It is easy to find on Amazon and the price is great at $41.99.

I buy direct from Amazon. In my case amazon.ca.
I work at a busy cell/computer repair shop so we wind up ordering 10+ batteries out per device at a time since you never know when a dozen iphones may come in. We pull our parts from Mengtor and Global Direct Parts.
As far as personal opinion goes, Mengtor parts are generally junk for new(ish) phones. Until it's been out for a year, at least, we pass on any mengtor orders even if we save a decent amount simply because returns are highly frowned upon by us and customers (obviously, who wants to bring their phone back again?). However, After a year, or even two of parts being revised and worked on we migrate over from GDP to Mengtor since the warranty process for faulty parts we order goes through faster and they've worked out the kinks in their junk by then.
Global Direct Parts on the other hand, have never let me down. Sure we've ordered junk parts that are dead on arrival but for the most part they are our main supplier for all, excluding iphone 4/4s and prior iphones (due to well, being over a year old and the previous issues are taken care of).
The cost on GDP right now for you would be 22.89 for a battery on an S4 for Verizon (Here to link)
Our cost is about 15-18$ depending on if they are pushing stock for new orders to their warehouse or willing to hold onto it. Warranty process has always been excellent as well for when we get a bunk battery, or other part. Also, they generally offer OEM and aftermarket parts depending on which you want. The link goes to an OEM variant. Hope this helps!

OEM from Amazon I believe is good.
can't go wrong with OEM
Either amazon or preferably the Samsung store.
I bought ones of these, $8.75 & free 2 day shipping with Amazon Prime.

I've always had good experiences with Anker. They're also available on Amazon, and unlike several of the knockoffs, they guarantee NFC compatibility if they list it.
If u can find a way of shipping items from china's tmall to ur place, they do hv authentic batteries from samsung's factories in china, with the retail packaging and all. It is a cheap option if u can find a way to save on shipping.
If not, I would just get anker batteries as they are reliable.

U could find any online seller that has the real deal for a cheaper price if u know how to spot fakes. Otherwise, if u really have to get the samsung one, u gotta pay more to buy it off the official retail stores.
As much as I hate paying Samsung for their horribly overpriced accessories, batteries included, I did end up buying my spare battery from Samsung, but I waited until they had a 50% off accessories sale. I wasn't in a rush, so I just waited until a sale came up. Call it a compromise.
I buy an original samsung battery from aliexpress.com

Searching for battery

Well.. I'm a bit hopeless ATM.
I'm trying to buy a new replacement battery for my H850.
Thing is, internet is FULL of scam sellers and even more products.
I mean yeah, it's easy to avoid Chinese crap with 18569303mah but there are batteries claim to be the "original" with the yellow sticker and everything but they're actually just fake copies.
Is there any trusted place I can order the actual original LG replacement and not a fake made in a basement in China?
Thanks
LG still sells OEM G5 batteries on their website for 39.99 USD. First result when googling LG G5 Battery. No one seems happy about the battery life on the reviews though.
original battery is also available in Aliexpress, i found only 1 listing with OEM battery, all others are fake!
I absolutely love my G5 SE H840, but the battery is shot. I can barely get half a day out of the thing. Open a game and I can sit and watch the battery drain at 3/4% per second. No I am in the market for a bettery and am also having a hard time finding an OEM battery anywhere around here (South Africa)

Normally the fakes come in horrible printed packaging And compared to a genuine one you can tell all kinds of misprints and such defects in the manufacturing process.
Where did all the spare batteries and charging cradles that lg gave away go? lol
I got 3 batteries and a cradle for mine still
Well I've got the battery and it seem fine.
It'll be the last battery for my G5.
By the time new battery will be needed G7 will be out and well... xD
Why not buy the charging cradle that already comes with an additional battery? Most of these cradles are legit and cheap, my most recent purchase was from last year and I only payed 18$ for a charging cradle (the battery included, same capacity) through Amazon
I would never pay for it $40 for this battery, I have two batteries and both of them drain horribly bad and most likely are already dying, and since i spent an entire year daily switching each battery due to lacking a charging cable, that only means that it used each battery for the length of an half a year.
These batteries are so so so so worthless it's not worth the sacrifice spending ton on money on a single unit
Edit: checked Amazon, cradles aren't cheap anymore, i guess lg dropped support for the lg g5 so their are not restocking their older replacement parts, unless I'm wrong.
You CAN find like 9$ lg g5 batteries on Amazon, by LG LG (not considering they are not the supplier, be careful with whichever store supplier you're buying, refunds are guaranteed either one way or another so it's nothing to worry about)
But yeah enjoy ur new fresh battery, hope this info helps others
Just ordered the 2-pack of AEXPower along with the external charger off Amazon. I have a Disney trip this weekend so I'll definitely make use of testing them out. I'll update this post Sunday night or Monday.
Update on the AEXPower batteries. Are they OEM quality? Close. I can almost get a full days of use out of it...taking pictures and posting to social media and such. But, the joy of this phone is having the ability to swap out batteries quickly. Battery Stats rated the battery right at 2800mAh after a few 100% discharges so I highly doubt that it's actually the 3000mAh that they rate it at. However, it's still a good battery and would definitely recommend it since you're getting 2 batteries and an external charger for sub $30.
Is it better to get OEM battery which was manufactured in 2016 or non OEM manufactured in 2017? Also does non OEM support Quick Charge 3?

Just ordered the two pack with charger..... will post sometime in May after they get down here to me in S.A.
I have been using two LG batteries with the LG charger dock but they now shut off the phone when they get down to 15% very fast.
Was just going to get a newer phone but now with 15.1 (Oreo) coming soon I think I will stick with the phone another year!
I think we will be the last with a swappable battery in our phones
