To the best of my knowledge, all motherboards are cut of the same size dye, you can replace an ATT motherboard in a Verizon set .
I have done swapping of motherboards between international and Sprint versions.
Best of luck.

[Q] galaxy note 2 logic board swap?

hi, everyone. so i have this doubts. i have a US cellular a galaxy note 2 R950 i know this phone is cdma and i recently got a tmobile note 2 that a friend gave me with a cracked screen:
since i want to use GSM because i travel to mexico often and over there my cell phone company use gsm
so my questions are:
its is possible to swap the logic board from the tmobile t889 into the R950? (want to unlock to use in Mex)
asking this because after watching some videos of how to change the lcd/digitilizer its easier to change the logic board
if the logic boards are not compatible does the lcd/digitizer?
the goal is to end up with a GSM phone and since my R950 is mint im not sure if just changing the logic board and prob the antena from the tmo will make it GSM
thanks in advance for any help

From what I researched before on GN2 types, the housing will be incompatible due antenna differences between gsm and cdma variants. I don't know about cable placement, you might have better luck asking the eBay vendors. One vendor told me he tried front LCD housing and frame replacement of R950 into N7105 won't work, he tried it.
General consensus:
N7100 motherboard housing is not compatible with all other GN2
N7105 is compatible with t889 and i317 (tmo and att)
L900 (sprint), R950 (us cellular), and i605 (Verizon) one of them may be compatible with other but I don't know which.

S7 Edge Retail model no cell bands?

Hello all, does anyone know about the retail demo models of the S7 Edge? I am selling a apple watch on craigslist and someone offered me a S7 edge with no cell bands..
Here is his email.. "I have a Samsung galaxy s7 edge gold retail X model. It works fine the only thing is it won't work as a phone no cell bands in the phone. So basically a android tablet in phone form. "
Just wondering if that is legit and is there a way to get it to work as a phone with a normal sim card>? Or is this person pulling my leg
Thanks
this is a test phone probably.... thats why it doesnt have any band cell so u probably wont be able to even put sim card in to....u can use this device like a mp3 player or ipod.... thats about it afaik.
IIRC someone here managed to flash a stock ROM to a demo unit and it worked as a normal phone afterwards

Lucky you didn't hard brick your phone. You tried to flash software onto a phone with different bands. CDMA and GSM networks don't work together. Verizon and Sprint phones will not work on AT&T or T-Mobile and vise versa. AT&T or T-Mobile phones will not work on Verizon or Sprint.

Forgot to mention mine is a S7 Edge Duos, but since I bought the UAE phone to use here in the US I fear they might not accept it because of that even though it has never been rooted.

it should still qualify, its still an official samsung galaxy s7 edge regardless of variant, i'm confident if i was willing to pay the price of fast shipping i could send mine in from the UK to a friend over there to do the swap for me. (and my s7e g935f is rooted) the only problem is i dont have a friend in the US lol or i would.
you could always ring them up and clarify... should only take a minute im sure it will be no problem to get the full price of a s7e

galaxy s7 sprint G930P G930PVPSACSI2

I have tried and tried to root it but it always fails using odin. Could use some help.
G930P (sprint)
G930PVPSACSI2
Android Version 8.0.0
Samsung Experience 9.0
Build number R16NW.G930PVPSACSI2
Android Security Patch September 1, 2019
If someone can shoot me to a guide or working files for odin it would be greatly appreciated.
I've tried around 30 guides and 30 different odin twrp files and each one has failed when trying to use on odin.

You can't. The G930P is locked down, with no known method to get around it.
All USA models are snapdragon SoC and locked down, some have work arounds that involves using a leaked engineering bootloader from the factory, but not the G930P.
TWRP also isn't possible, all the files you were likely flashing are for the G930F, which is Exynos SoC and able to be bootloader unlocked.
I figured as much, just my luck. If I was looking for a good device to root which phone would you suggest or should I go with like iPhone 7? main purpose im using this for is like pokemon spoofing lol is an iPhone 7 hard to jailbreak>?
How about galaxy s9 sm g960u that's my main phone which I could root if it was possible but the downside was id need to find something to hide root from snapchat and other apps.
You'd have to check the forums for that model specifically, but a general rule of thumb is a US model Samsung phones with snapdragons are bootloader locked. You'll have better luck with other phones, or importing the Exynos model (although that comes with less network band support in the US)

nope. no root love on the G960U models. The G960F model is rootable as well as the chinese snapdragon S9's, but none of the american S9s

it also should be said that the F model variants of the galaxy phones do not support CDMA which is what sprint and verizon uses. if you want to use T-Mob or AT&T with a euro phone, all good, theyre GSM which is what the F models are capable of working with solely. Do NOT get a euro spec phone if you want to use vzw or sprint

I'm not connecting it to service. Just trying to use it for wifi etc. So if I got a Galaxy S7 AT&T phone off amazon it would work? I don't really know how to get a euro phone when I live in USA and I normally buy everything from amazon. Is a iPhone 7 at&t jailbreakable?
