sm-g920t1 - General Questions and Answers

ok i have a sm-g920t1 (s6) i tried to root it with cf auto root but some thing went wrong.it was stuck in logo was able to get into download only,i took it to several people including Samsung and all tell me it needs a new mother board ,the phone worked perfectly before,so i can eliminate that .i finally got a response with firmware G920T1TMB5EQC2_TMB,but its still stuck... in Odin i tried AP first then put the file in bl, same result,it will download but cant get into recovery..the current binary is Samsung official, but system status remains custom, any ideas????since it says custom i think i will try to force xtrestolite into it maybe it will let me put twrp after ,other than that im just out of ideas,,to me it sounds as if oem was off when i rooted it ,and to be honest i dont remember if i turned it on or not ,ive been at this for over a year!!!

[Q] Huge Problem (Build.Prop/Bootloop/Cant Flash)

Hi everyone,
Right I have a serious issue with a 4 day old S6 from the UK bought SIM-Free off Amazon.
My phone was rooted but didn't have ADB or any sort of custom recovery. I edited the build.prop file for the RAM management thing, and created a copy back up on my storage. I didn't like it too much, so I copied the back up over the edited one and restarted - phone went into boot loop.
I have attempted to use Odin and flash a stock firmware ROM (had to settle for a H3G variation because the XEU unbranded was off some download website that takes 10 hours to download). I went through all the steps with Qbking77's walkthrough with Odin and it came up that it failed at the end.
The phone then booted into the Emergency Recovery screen, and couldn't get back into Recovery (to do the Smart Switch recovery), and can only get back into the Download bit.
I've tried flashing it again, and no avail.
I seriously, seriously hope someone can help me out here, it's a brand new phone and I love it and I don't want to be left with a brick.
Thanks.
I was in the same boat, if you rooted and didn't trip Know, your best bet is the Samsung Store, they're all over the UK
Well an update:
After the third time flashing failed, I did a root via Odin which had previously failed, and it booted up, completely normal and set up the device as normal.
I have no idea how that worked - but it did. Probably tripped the Knox I think but it works.

S6 SM-G920f stuck on samsung logo after trying to install xposed framework

hey all
I did a basic root on my samsung galaxy s6 a few days ago. just installed superSu and gave me root access. after that I installed TWRP which I then used to try and install the xposed framework. From then on my phone is stuck on the samsung screen saying kernel is not seandroid enforcing. I downloaded the stock rom for my phone (sm-g920F on 6.01) and attempted to flash it via odin 3.07 but it always failed after the sboot.
i have searched to try and find a solution but nothing I can find will work. can anyone help?
so i got my s6 working after flashing a full stock firmware i found via a link on this forum (i forget which one...sorry)
it gave me BL_G920FXXU3DPBG_CL7086820_QB8626574_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
AP_G920FXXU3DPBG_CL7086820_QB8626574_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5

CSC_BTU_G920FBTU3DPB1_CL7140831_QB8460122_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
it also recommended that I flash the pit file ZEROFLTE_EUR_OPEN.pit.
this was all done via the latest version of odin. initially, the flashing failed at cm.bin so I reflashed omitting the bootloader and all seemed to be well.
My phone set up fine and then I realised that it will not recognise my sim...or any sim for that matter. in settings under sim card status...every entry is listed as unavailable. IMEI is unknown as is baseband version.
i realise that I have obviously messed up big time with the initial flashing (uhuh....backup...backup....backup) but I would really like some help to get my phone back up and running as a ...well...phone.
any help or suggestions would be most appreciated.
thanks in advance x

Try smart switch. Not sure if it could restore the imei but it could bring the phone back to original csc when you bought it.
Sent from my SM-G925F

Galaxy S7 says "custom" but is not rooted. Need help.

I have had my Galaxy S7 for about 2 months, brand new from Verizon, I updated my firmware using their Samsung official update and when it booted it up, it said custom, but when I used a root checker it said it was not rooted, and I tried to use some superuser features and they would not work, but the phone still shows custom.
The phone worked fine up until a week ago when it started to freeze, then would reboot and take hours to turn on. The phone got to the point where it wouldn't even reboot, even after a master reset, and flashing the stock ROM via Odin. I took it into Samsung to get help, after they tried to flash it and it didn't get passed boot, I was turned away because the phone appeared to be rooted and I was told to send it in to Samsung. This is a problem I have never seen before. I did not try any attempt to root my device or download anything that wasn't official. I have sent my phone into Samsung so they can "investigate the issue" and I am awaiting the response. I have some questions.
1. Is this common?
2. How could this have happened?
3. Does flashing a stock rom via Odin trip Knox?
4. if Samsung turns me away what should I do?
Thanks.

This just happened to me and I the problem was that I had Secure Startup enabled under Lock screen and security. I just disabled it and re-rooted it and that fixed the problem. Hope it works for you.

HELP theres somthing wring with my phone

i have a samsung galaxy note 4 (SM-N910C) running android 6.0.1 and its been with me for almost 3 years. but recently i rooted it multiple times using odin and chainfire cf autoroot the first time i rooted my phone succesfully then i figured that i wasnt able to use snapchat so i completely unrooted. then i realised that xposed was what caused snapchat to stop working not the actual rooting. so i rooted my device using the same method and it worked succesfully. but this time i THINK i messed around with the build prop file but at that time i didnt know. so a couple of days later i completely reset my phone( just because i got a new work phone but NOT because i thought somthing was wrong with the build prop file) so my device wasnt rooted.then when i installed snapchat again and it didnt work.then i went to see if there were any software updates and it said the i had an unothorised OS.then i went to my device status and it said costom instead of original which was weird because i reset it. so i starting think abought what could have gone wrong and i thought about the build prop. i tried everything to get the device status to original like triangle away (i had to root it to install triangle away tho) but it didnt change the device status but snapchat worked thank god. however private mode didnt work so i tried to install samsung USB drivers and connect it to my phone usibg odin but things got even more copmlicated. i dont know what to do
any ideas?

You need to use the latest.. I repeat the latest version of Odin and also the stock firmware for your region which has all the parts AP/BL/CP/CSC, flash it and your phone will work again and no you can't reset knox if it has been tripped.
