Flash a k450 (cricket) to US610 stock firmware - Miscellaneous Android Development

Hey guys,
Just want to report that I have luck flashing a k450 with US610 firmware.
Please follow the steps at your own risk. I haven't tested if everything still work correctly.
Steps:
1) Download US610 kdz file (just do a quick google search, you should find it in the top results)
2) Extract the kdz with this tool:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600575
You should get a dz and dll file
3) Use lg flash tool V1.8.1.1023 to flash using the dz file and dll file extracted in step 2.
After the flashing is done, you would boot into a "minios" and
a) you should see a message "Factory reset status 2".
b) Wait a while until the message updates to "Factory reset status 3"
c) power off using pwr+vol- button.
d) power back on it should boot into android. It takes around 5 minutes for first boot.
Now since it wasn't even checking for k450 model vs us610 model mismatch, I suppose one might be able to obtain root by repacking the dz file with appropriate boot/system/recovery image.
While there's no known way to unlock the bootloader for the snaprdragon variants (K450, US610), the bootloader may not be locked to begin with. Therefore If we can repack dz file and still be able to flash a modified dz file (it should be applicable to all models?) I think we would have a good starting point for custom rom.
Questions that need answered:
1) Does download mode accept a modified dz file? i.e. prehaps the individual partition image is signed with a private key by LG and validated using a public key from the device?
2) Does the bootloader allow booting unsigned image?
Please follow the steps at your own risk. I haven't tested if everything still work correctly.

Played with the phone for around 10 mins, haven't seen anything thats not working yet. Specifically
1) Call works (not sure if this phone supports VOLTE - it drops to 3G/H+ when calling)
2) LTE works on tmobile (unlocked before flashing US610 rom)
3) WIFI works
4) Camera works
5) light sensor works

I've tested this phone with the US610 conversion for over 1 week and i couldn't be happier with it. Less bloat and as i replaced the battery too i feel it going a bit faster. Thanks man!

im from mexico my phone is free for every company what kdz US610 i need download for my criket phone?

Hi All,
I have a problem with a cheap test phone I bought from a Supermarket in Brussels Belgium, as it seems this is owned by Lenovo now.
I originally managed to flash a custom recovery through an adb command and was able to root the stock Android on the phone.
My troubles started when I attempted to find a custom ROM for this phone, as it is a virtually unknown brand, I was unable to find a ROM to start, after that I found an Indonesian ROM, which is quite nice, but is made for dual sim and CDMA functions so I can only boot the phone without a SIM, once a SIM goes in it switches off.
So at this point I tried to put it back to its latest Stock ROM, which is 4.1.2 Android, so I thought I will settle with rooted version of that.
I followed the instructions from the website of this phone, see link below, I applied the file provided in an empty microsd card as instructed push both Volume + & - and the power button and then it would flash the update.
http://www.medion.com/be/fr/service/accueil/_product.php?msn=30015290&gid=11
Once I did the above I got the below message,
Failed to read file /u909c.v1/CONF/u909c.xml, with error no - 1
I tried every trick in the book to go back to Stock and nothing is working, so I started reading about how to make a flash-able ROM or update.zip, unfortunately it seems that even with the tools and the instructions I have through xda I am still unable to achieve a flash-able version of this Stock ROM through my CWM recovery.
Is there any one that can help me create this or maybe create it for me?
The official Stock Rom is in the below folder,
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/am1rr76kv9xfpti/AACN6MuMktO8Hhm4C5F8titia?n=24158169
Or you can download it from,
http://www.medion.com/be/fr/service/accueil/_product.php?msn=30015290&gid=11
I would greatly appreciate any help with this......
rom medion P4013
salut
est ce que tu pourrais me passer le lien pour télécharger les ROM officiels du smartphone medion P4013 ?
merci d'avance
Reupload
Hi!
You mentioned that you managed to get CWM running, how did you achieve this?
Also, could you please reupload the stock rom, it's literally unfindable on the internet.
Thanks,

flash this file in odin

Now you can root using the same method as the s7 and edge I used this method personally but with the above file instead of theirs for the other models

Nice, Finally root for my device now I can really remove some of this bloatware. Hopeful that there's a custom recovery next, then roms maybe.
If I have to do a factory reset will it wipe the SD card as well? Hopefully it won't matter as I've seen numerous people go through the process without losing anything. I was just planning on backing up everything to my SD.

Just remove the SD first then you won't have to worry about it erasing it. I don't know though if it was formatted as portable storage though if it will still work. I don't believe it will though.
now where's root for android n?
When you do a factory reset it just erases the internal memory unless you actually specify for it to erase the external sd card. I've done a bunch of factory resets because I've had roms stop working and had to do them.
Does it still work on s7 ative at&t?
I just got an ATT G891A yesterday and its still locked. I have tried about 3 different S7 roms and they wipe out recovery and then it gets stuck in a boot loop. I did find an oem rom that will install and fix recovery too.
I had to Odin one more file and do a little bit of adb but root works.
G891A_7.0_ENG_ROOT.tar
Edit: Looks like i wont be able to get ATT to unlock it for a while. He still owes $300+ on the phone. Lol

EBAY!
Why do you sell a phone that you still owe $300 on? And buy a $800 phone. What ever. He said he will give my money back.
Sorry, I guess I'm out of the G891A. Kind of a bummer. I stripped a ton of it in testing but, Im not good enough to do a full Rom. There was one apk that made it loop for 5 times, then it reinstalled that apk, and then it would boot again. Ill update when i get it back in front of me. I restored it to factory so i can give it back.
I looked in settings and it showed those apps as not installed. I bet I removed 40 apps. It was better. I don't know know enough to change the config files.

Yours is locked? I owe like 600 on mine yet, bought a unlock code thinking it was still locked but it wasn't. I think it was the AV I had installed originally that prevented me from changing before.
can any galaxy s7 be root and have free hotspot as of 2018 looking for new phone but need free hotspot seeing I have unlimited data verison wireless ?
trips knox?
Will this work for ATT s7 Active with Android 7.0?
If so, is there a more detailed guide on how to root?
Would love to see a root for the s7 active current nougat with bootloader 3, or even an Oreo root for it. Tired of the att bloatware

If I may ask, where did you get Oreo 8.1? My SG-891A is stuck on 8.0. Mobile Hotspot & Tethering won't work because I'm no longer paying AT&T (but rather on Consumer Cellular). 8.1 is supposed to allow a Chromebook to use the phone's mobile data network, so I'm very interested in either getting 8.1 or a working root for 8.0 (which I'm still researching).
Thanks in advance,

downgrade from oreo to nougat

Hello everyone I have a galaxy s8 + by mistake I installed this firmware G955FXXU2CRED I would like to return to nougat or if there is a way to install the twrp. Thanks
No. Not yet...Bootloader got updated by Samsung to U2 and there's no way to install custom recovery yet...

hello everyone I have this firmware G955FXXU2CRED and you can root or install a recovery. Thanks
Do you have OEM UNLOCK enabled in your Developer Options menu?
If so then you possibly can using Odin flash of the TWTP recovery tar file in AP slot....
Is not there OEM in developer options as you unlock? Thank you

OK. So how did you install this firmware? You might be in that 7 day waiting period before OEM UNLOCK becomes available again...the key suggestion there is for you NOT TO reboot your device at all for the next 7 days till OEM UNLOCK becomes available again and then you can flash TWRP and then a custom Nougat ROM after that...
Check in Settings > About Phone > Up time how many hours your device has been on and subtract from (7 x 24)...that's the number of hours you have to wait till OEM UNLOCK should become available...

EDIT:
There's a trick I've read in another thread for jigging the 7-day waiting period...but I'm only 8 hours away from waiting out the period normally that I don't wanna risk rebooting it and then having to wait another extra 7 days
But some users confirm its working on the U2CRED firmware...
1. Turn on plane mode
2. Go to time setting
3. Change automatic update to manual
4. Change date 8 days back
5. Restart phone
6. Turn on dev options
7. Restart phone
8.Change back date to normal
9. Turn off plane mode
10. You should now have OEM Unlock visible in Developer Options menu ( if not repeat operation till you have it)
What I'd you have one unlocked, but download. Mode say prenormal?

[FIRMWARE] Stock Partition Images for LG Stylo 3 (LS777) Boost Mobile/Sprint/Virgin Mobile

LG Stylo 3 (LS777)
Boost Mobile, Sprint, Virgin Mobile
Android Version: 7.0 Nougat
Kernel Version: 3.18.31
Build No. NRD90U
Software Version: LS777ZVE
Baseband Version:
MPSS.TA.2.3.c4-00034-8940_GEN_PACK-1
Security Patch Level: July 1, 2018
BUILD FEATURES:
• Calling Plus bug fixes (VoLTE/VoWiFi)
• Sprint Caller ID updates
• WiFi Scanning bug fixes
• Audio/Video Codec updates
• Improved Battery Efficiency
OVERVIEW:
This stock firmware for the Boost Mobile LG Stylo 3 is not packaged in KDZ or TOT format, nor is it an official carrier or OEM firmware package. Rather, this archived package consists of all partition images encompassed in the stock GPT index. As such, utilities such as LG Flash Tool and LG Bridge are not viable options for installation. This package consists of 57 unmodified partition images dumped from the Boost Mobile LG Stylo 3, including /system, /boot, /recovery, /laf, /modem, /fsg, etc., archived into a zip format file. These images can be used to fully restore an LG Stylo 3 (LS777) to a factory stock state. Please note that this firmware is not the latest build for the LS777. The latest build is LS777ZVH with a security patch level of January 1, 2019. I will include that package here as well once I have time to archive the partition images and upload the zip.
INSTALLATION:
The manner in which you use or install this firmware package is completely up to you. This thread is not intended to be an installation guide or restoration tutorial -- it is intended as a resource only, for stock firmware images. I can confirm that these images may be installed using LG-UP Dev Edition, by selecting the PARTITION DL option to flash partitions individually. But again, the manner in which you use these stock images is entirely your prerogative. Simply download the package from the below link and extract the contents to your desired directory.
DISCLAIMER:
By downloading this firmware package, you are assuming sole responsibility for your device with respect to the manner in which you use this firmware. Please do not blame me in the event something goes wrong. I have restored my own LS777 using partition images from this package. However, I am not responsible or liable for any adverse consequences that may occur during your own installation of these images.
NOTES:
There are very few scenarios that would require flashing all 57 partition images. Typically, for a soft bricked device, or a device which will not otherwise boot into the Android OS, flashing only the system.img and boot.img should fix your device. For radio, data connection or cell signal problems, install modem.img and fsg.img to restore the baseband radio firmware. In a nutshell, tailor your installation to the particular needs of your device.
NOTICE: flashing.bootloader type partitions can be very risky (/rpm, /aboot, /sbl1, etc.). Do not flash sensitive partitions unless you know what you are doing. Also, because the LS777 has a locked down bootloader, flashing any type of patched or modified boot image to the device will result in a SECURE BOOT ERROR and failure to boot into the OS. Root can only be attained by pushing a pre-rooted system image to your device using LG-UP Dev Edition, which will install system-wide root binaries (/system/xbin/su). A root management application such as SuperSU can then be used. However, this is for informational purposes only, as this is not an installation guide, rooting tutorial, etc. This thread is intended as a resource only. On a final note, in the event you have a more recent build than LS777ZVE, flashing this firmware using the modded LG-UP will allow downgrading of the firmware build. You may subsequently install any pending OTA updates to bring the firmware build up to the latest version.

I had meant to tell you also, if you are needing firmware to repair or restore a non-working LGL83BL, ask on the device forums for an owner of the TracFone variant to dump his/her partition images and upload them for you to install using LG-UP.

I'll reach out to my sources over at 4PDA and check on blankflash files for the LS777. Your issue seems to be more related to hardware than firmware. Unless you corrupted your bootloader /sbl1 partition, your hard brick status would not seem firmware related. But in any event, it's definitely worth trying at this point. I'll see what I can find. Out of curiosity, have you done any system-level modifications on your LS777 at any time prior to its current status?
No luck on locating a blankflash file for reviving the LS777 from a hard brick. While searching I did stumble across a promising method for recovering hard bricked Qualcomm devices by way of remapping and rewriting the entire eMMC partition table to an external microSD card and then booting your device thus. You may want to check this out @chris2288

It sounds almost definitely like hardware failure. But, again, it sure cannot hurt to try restoring it on the firmware side. I've not found any blankflash files for the LS777, but you may want to check out the link I posted above.

I translated your question. It looks as though you are asking if the firmware will work on 777ZVH. It should work fine. The version I posted, 777ZVE, is merely an earlier release version than 777ZVH. The baseband should work. You will want to use the modem.img and the fsg.img files.

You can download a verified safe build of LG-UP Lab Edition or Dev Edition from this link:
LGUP Ver 1.15, LGUP 1.16 for LG V50, LG G8 ThinQ
LGUP flash tool 1.17 is a new flashing tool to flash kdz/tot/bin format LG Stock firmware onto your LG Phones. You can use LGUP to upgrade or downgrade the software of your device. You even can unbrick a soft-bricked LG device by flashing stock kdz firmware with LGUP.
www.mylgphones.com
The Lab and Dev Editions both include the Partition DL feature, which allows you to flash partition images to the device. Ensure the image you are flashing has a file extension of .img or .bin.

¡Help me! The oem option disappeared from the developer settings.

I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime (SM-j327T1) Android 7.0, I decided a long time ago to format my device and unfortunately the oem option disappeared and was never activated again. I tried methods such as the time and date, with the miracle box software, guides that I have found here about oem unlocking and nothing worked for me, I have even managed to see what is almost impossible. Does anyone know what I could do?

Wipe all data from the device and then reflash the stock firmware via Odin. It "should" return then.

Borre todos los datos del dispositivo y luego actualice el firmware original a través de Odin. Entonces "debería" volver.

I mean, I would first do a hard reset and then install the latest firmware version available from Odin.
