I am looking at the specs from the Samsung website about the Note and there are 2 things that I find strange.
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab/GT-N8013EAVXAR-specs
1. They are saying the Note only supports a 32 GB MicroSD card. That seems confusing because I believe one of their videos even talks about it supporting 64 GB so I am wondering which is correct.
2. On the US site there is no mention of the IR port. I know it is not a deal breaker but I thought it was kind of cool. Is the US version not coming with this?

It seems the "Bestbuy" one has the IR port
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...&defurl=false&viewtype=Alternate View 6&h=488
But its not mentioned anywhere in the specs
-TB-
I haven't seen too many tablets or phones that say they support 64GB microSDs, but many of them do.
The US version definitely has the IR port as well.
I have the Note - Phone. I have a San disk 64gb card in it and it works well. I would assume this will work in the tablet as well.
I want this thing so bad.
The Noteworthy Note. Running OBJECTION rc1 UCLF5 / h0tw1r3's r5s1 OC.
The 64gb cards do work but only if formatted as fat32. It doesn't support exfat (I assume that exfat support welcome in an update soon. Hardware wise the note is very similar to the international S3 which supports exfat)

Is this version compatible with current S4 ROM ?

I think it might actually be compatible, if the difference is only the color and storage size.

Hi all,
looking for a nice smartphone that sports a big battery life, I've always had 3GB of RAM as a second must. Now I've got my eye on a phone that comes in 2GB and 3GB version. I've read on this forum in a couple of older posts that 2GB should be more than enough (normal use) and that 3GB is future proofing or for heavy multi taskers.
Is this still true? Or is 3GB RAM the best buy these days? What is more RAM good for? Is 2GB of RAM enough with the new Lollipop version? Will 2GB be enough in one years time?
Hope someone can shed some recent light on this subject!
Sewrizer said:
Could you be more specific? RAM usage depends on ROM: vanilla android takes a small amount, therefore 2GB should be enough. Touchwiz, on the other hand takes a lot more ( Note 3 SM-N9005 uses 2,1GB out of 2,75). This is just a guideline, of course, but I am sure Samsung, LG and HTC will make their heavy theming and bloating even heavier.

I will try! atm I am looking at the HUAWEI Mate 7 as a possible new phone. Massive battery, slim bezels! In my country the 2GB version is standard, the 3GB version will be a lot more difficult to purchase ( and of course, it is more expensive).
That is why I wonder if 2GB is enough on a phone that I will most likely use in 2014 and 2015. Can they run the latest android versions that will be coming up, and most apps without problems? Or if 3GB already is the standard and I shouldn't settle for a phone that has less?
I know it is a very general question, but I hope I've given enough information for a good answer. :good:
P.s.: I think this question should have been posted in Q&A section.

If it does, my appologies, and I would not mind anyone moving it.

AliExpress has the 128gb for $790
32gb is 600
64 is 670ish
It seems that Huawei will held and event on November 14th to unveil officially these devices.
That's expensive fora Kiren chip, with that price I would expected to have snapdragon 821 or 830.

I've been using the 4GB + 64GB combo for one week already, and I haven't had the need for more ram, usually the lowest available memory it shows is around 1.6GB

This kirin processor is more powerful than sd 821, apparently.
Not just more powerfull but consumes much less power compared to SD821.

I wouldn't say more powerful, but I think that now they are pair to pair with Snapdragon, and that's really good.
I remember when Exynos was crap, but from 2 years to now, it has become a really nice processor as well.
It is said that the GPU on the Mate 9 (G71) is the same that will incorporate the new Galaxy S8, according to rumors.

CPU wise it is indeed more powerful and efficient. Kryo cores are not better than ARM Cortex A57 cores, source from Anandtech.
And in the GPU department we have to wait for the updated drivers that should increase the performance over the Adreno 530 as Huawei show in the Kirin 960 presentation ( they have been really honest about their SOCs info until now in the good and the bad things ). But we will have to see, at the moment it is quite good.

Is this accurate? Single SIM is Euro version, dual SIM is INT, and Chinese version is 128/6 GB?
I ordered White 128/6 GB version from Oppomart and elsewhere in this forum Oppomart has been quoted as saying thiers are INT versions. Just wondering as I don't want to get one of these Chines variants that cannot run Google Play. My understanding is INT, and maybe Euro, versions are fine with Google Play but the Chinese versions are a hassle to rollback firmware to version that will allow Google Play.

Hi,
I was wondering if 3GB RAM version fine on 6PRO? I had Sony XA2 3GB version in the past and it seemed to be fine. Though I like Lot's of windows in my browser and jumping backwards and forwards between 5-7 apps. I don't play games. Use camera a lot. Thanks.
I think 3 GB is good enough to you.
Redmi 4 Prime for about 2 years with 32GB was ok
now 2 years later I got RN6pro with 32GB, no need for more,
for your preferences it is ok too, I believe
Thanks : ) Do apps refresh a lot on the phone? One thing I hate mroe than anything to have content on the ap pto be refresh everytime I come back to it.
but most of the apps are google playstore apps ?
that has nothing to do with phone roms,
I don't use many Xiaomi apps
The one I am intending to buy is UK version form local shop. So, yes it's google store. And some bloatware on top. Unfortunately I didn't mod phones.
I feel paying a bit more for 64gb and 4gb is a reasonable choice
