i don't think u can create a bootanimation from gif, u have to do frame by frame, also the quality of the gif may not be a quality u want to use, try to use GIF MovieGear and see if it will let u extract the images, if u can PM me and i will show u how to create a bootanimation
Can I get a flash able zip of the stock boot logo of OnePlus 5T
Can I get a stock boot logo zip file just in case I want to revert back to original logo?

Made this a while ago, but only had it in a specific phone forum. After seeing some photos of the AT&T logo as the Death Star, I decided to make a boot animation to encompass the idea. I found a video on youtube of the Death Star testing its powers. I edited the Death Star to have the AT&T rings around it, and made the planet pink to represent T-mobile. This is a landscape boot, uses the whole screen.

I have 2 ways of putting it on your phone;
1: Non Flashable - Drop in where your bootanimation.zip is in your phone and set permissions to look like this with root explorer
2. Flashable (Flashes to /system/media) - Put on the root of your SD and boot into clock work recovery and choose flash zip from SD.

Flashable
Will it work on android phone?
I have G2x.
Anyone try this yet?

Uummmmm... Its built for any Android phone. Like I said. If your bootanimation.zip isn't in the /system/media folder, then download the Non-Flashable and put it in the correct folder for your phone. Its built for 480x800, so that covers a lot of devices. And if you don't have a 480x800, just edit the top line of the desc.txt to your screen size. You don't even have to unzip it.
hi all,
unfortunately i installed a flashable bootanimation to my xoom and i forgot the name of that animation and also i deleted the flashable file. problem is i cant replace the current animation file by just pasting new bootanimation.zip file into that /data/local folder nothing changes. my current animation stays. i have uploaded the apparently unremovable bootanimation's screenshot. i hope someone will help me by informing the name/ thread of this bootanimation and how to replace this animation.

Good job..
but it would be great if you create a animation which would show progress of the bootiong..v3.0.3 takes forever to boot up..

I don't know if that's even possible.. I mean determining the time needed to boot, and displaying it while OS is still booting... Thats why most of the operating systems just show "Loading" or similar animation while booting up :silly:
I have recolored every file inside the stock bootanimation from OOS.
So now all the red has become blue.
Demo of the animation

You can also install the bootanimation with Boot Animations.
You can install the bootloader.zip with the app.
Maybe this will help you

The splash contains a customized fastboot screen and ofcourse the boot logo. Also, this boot-animation is completely based on Pixel's boot-animation. The way I customized this is by editing the images in Part 0 and Part 1 folder inside the Pixel's bootanimation.zip.
Here is the preview of the boot-animation:
These are the Splash files previews (boot logo + fastboot logo):
Download links:
• Download the flash-able zip of splash (which will change your boot logo and fastboot screen as above) here.
• Download the boot-animation zip file from here.
Steps involved:
• Reboot to recovery (OrangeFox recommended, you can use anyone you like).
• Mount system (to get access to system files through recovery's internal file manager).
• Flash google_mido_splash.zip file normally while making sure unmounting before flashing is unchecked!
• For boot-animation, copy the google_mido_bootanimation.zip to /system/media and rename it as bootanimation.zip
• This will change your bootanimation and splash images.
