I am in the same boat. Posted bere my experience a week ago but no reply. I rebranded from C567 to C432 and all work well. I even updated to Oreo. For me is just a cosmetic issues, but I'd still love to fix it.

I don't think it's possible to fix. I have looked into this a lot as I had the same thing happening on my phone and nobody seems to have a fix. When you rebrand a single sim device to a dual SIM ROM it appears to activate the second sim slot which gives the MEID 00000000 in settings and activates dual SIM menu in settings. It also stops the SIM from being read in some ROMs until the SIM is ejected and put back in after a reboot. The second sim reader stays active even if you rebrand back to a single sim ROM. I ultimately had to send my phone off to be repaired and they ended up replacing the mainboard under warranty.

A little help on getting telephony back, please! "No SIM card detected" ("SOLVED")

A little help on getting telephony back, please! "No SIM card detected" ("SOLVED")
Hi all !
I've got a Mate 7 09 that was on B121, I flashed stock B127 from Huawei's USA site to get rid of my operators rom, and it was fine, after that I flashed stock B137 KK, B308 LP and B317 LP.
But after flashing B137 I didn't use my device for callings nor anything as a phone, my SIM card was in another device. I was just trying LP so I didn't noticed it had no telephony signal because it can not read/detect the SIM card. Once I put in my SIM card the device couldn't detect it. It says "No SIM detected" No SIM card is detected. I've tried several ones.
What can be wrong? I've tried factory reset, rolling back to KK to B127 which worked the first time, factory reset again, and it's still the same. "No SIM card detected"
What can be so wrong?
Now I got a Mate 7 from a friend and it's in the same state as mine originally was. So I had the idea to get TWR on both, make a backup of the working device and flash it into mine.
I'm in that process.
What do you think is causing this problem? Modem drivers? Baseband? (Right now both have the same baseband number)
Anything to do with customization packs? I've seen several in a system folder called "HW"
I wish you and all you guys here could help me. Thank you in advance!
Any help or advice is welcomed!

check on settings/about phone: if bandbase is "unknown" then problem is not related with sim card, but modem is missing. That happened with me many times with samsung note 2 when i flashed the wrong rom

The modem is not missing, the EFS folder may be corrupted.

It was the SIM card reader. It's damaged.

Thank you guys for your kind help.
It looks like after all I could restore the baseband number and other customization from my original operator (I did it with this little steps, and getting the /cust contents from a Mate 7 from a local friend), but it's still not working.
So I checked the SIM card reader with a flashlight and it seems to be damaged, I can't see all of the 6 golden terminals/pins, whereas in my friend's Mate 7 they are easy to spot.
That must be the problem, there's no other possible explanation.
I'll order a SIM card reader replacement from Ebay to fix this problem.
Thank you all! I've learned a lot in the process. Ha Be very careful when you insert and extract your SIM card!

Huawei Mate 9 how to update?

Me and my friend both bought the mate 9 from the same store. He has the new update but when I try to update it I don't get anything.
Does anyone know what is the issue or how I can officially update my mate 9
He just update his phone from b136 to b138.
Try swapping sim cards between you and him.
Are you both have huawei id registered?

Huawei is known to sometimes restrict upgrade deployment by IMEI and operator so switching SIMs might trigger it.
Alternatively you can use FunkyHuawei.

I had to laugh a little, we all bought ours from the same store.
Try without your sim card in it also. Could manually flash with funkyhuawei also.
Not sure why they are limiting the update to imei, it's crap idea from them.
Probably to spread the load on their servers.
Or there are slight component differences.
I can confirm that swapping sim card will instantly detect updates to download since I was in C636B110 before. Even a dead sim card from the region that allows the update will work as well. In my case, I swap my Canadian Rogers sim with a dead HK sim and it detected updates available.

How To check whats the official version of MATE 9?

Bought phone Mate 9 second hand.
How can I be sure what version is it or if its been rebranded?
About phone says its a MHA-L09 and build is L09C432B182
I tried to upgrade it to newest b193 with method in this post [Guide] Mate 9 Flash Update Package and Rebrand
but after upgrade i noticed I lost MEID just zeros, same with PESN when type: *#06#
I am not sure if those numbers were the same before upgrade or something just went wrong.
Other thing is that phone doesnt recognize sim cards after upgrade, it works fine with b182, even if I do upgrade with normal software upgrade throuh phone it finds b190 and again sim is not recognized.
It made me thinking ,how can I actually know what version of Mate 9 i have? I went to huawei web site to check warranty (http://consumer.huawei.com/in/support/warranty-query/index.htm) for this phone and acording to its serial nr/ imei and it says its a MHA-L09B ?im slightly surprised as i found out L09B is an Australian model? live in UK . my serial nr is UGM0217122003582 can someone advice? also if its L09 so i suppose it should have only 1 sim , then why if i go to mobile network there is an sim 2 network field (grey out) ,is that how it should be?
thx
You have 2 sims cause u rebranded ur phone from single sim l09 to dual sim l29.
Better to rebrand it back to l09 so you can hve ur iemi back and working network.
Read carefully , I have IMEI with all brands , I lost MEID and PESN not IMEI, also never rebranded to any l29 always used l09 that's the point

Are u sure it was L09 Firmware u used? Because if it shows that u have 2 sim now u used L29 Firmware when u flashed it, if u flash a L09 that is the singel sim version with a L29 Firmware it will show that u have 2 sim slots in the Settings.

1. bought phone mate 9
2 have no knowledge of its history and if it was rebranded or not.
3. phone info clearly shows MHA - L09 C432B182, IMEI was also there and mach serial number according to huewai warranty checker
4. tried to upgrade many times to newest MHA-09 C432193 but always had some issue with it finaly somehow i did it, phone info was showing MHA - L09 C432B193 IMEI was there but i noticed there is no MEID just zeros
5. confirmed that with dialler: *#06# MEID and PESN have just zeros IMEI is there
6. inserted sim and phone had to noticed its there as had pop up from sim vodafone if i want to use prepay or postpay, after selecting either of two : no service.
7 in settings , mobile network there are 2 sections sim 1 and sim 2 both ,grey out
8 rebranded phone with MHA - L09 C432B186, all went ok but results the same, phone upgraded mobile network still shows sim 1 sim 2 both greyout, no service
9 again flashed phone with MHA - L09 C432B182, straight away phone picked up signal. mobile network still shows sim 1 filled with info and sim 2 greyout.
10.having installed MHA - L09 C432B182 i upgraded software through official way settings ,system upgrade : system found MHA-L09C432B190 proceed with that , as a result system upgraded but again sim 1 sim 2 grey out no service.
Thats why im wondering if there is any way to find out phone original region/brand/version ? how can i know if i got L09 or L29 regardless software it has installed?
Something there is definitely not right if the official phone upgrade screws things up ,there is no service and only firmware that works is 182.

Seems it was single sim branded phone and the previous owner has flash it to single sim unbranded.
I think l29c636 firmware can fix it. Just flash an approved firmware.

No service in European L09 C432 ROM issue

Hello everyone, i know that here collected the best minds of Huawei custom thing development
So i have a question to you, and i hope that you can help me, i dont know there to search and what to do
Originally i had a Mate 9 with L09 C432 ROM (UK Three mobile), after time i decide to flash custom rom, to get a better battery life, root and another tools
Because my phone is insured i have to bring this to original ROM one day, but.... Now when i am flashing any version of L09 C432 ROM i dont have network access (cannot use mobile data), cannot make calls and messages, but i can receive calls and messages. In row about phone i have MEID 0000000000. In top left corner there should be carrier written - No service, looks like that phone think that he is now 2 sim model
No service
One ROM from L09 which one is working for me is RomAur 1.5
I tried to rebrand to another model, and after back to original, not working, all possible roms - same issue. I dont know which part of ROM responsible for receiving calls and messages, or what i destroyed in my phone
Any idea for this?
Hello.
I'm not a developer or something likewise, I'm just a regular user. I have a mate 9 bought in latin America (Dominican Republic) after a month I rebranded my phone from MHA-L09C25B106 to MHA-L09C432B182. My phone was built with a single SIM and when I installed the ROM from this post. https://youtu.be/8OywEYZ2cbw it also gave me the MEID 00000000000000 but it let me do call and use data, also I noticed that even if the ROM was for MHA-L09 it has two SIM toolkits, one with the name of my carrier and the other with none but the phone was fine. The problem came after I updated to B190. I had the no service massage even though I had my SIM card inside, what I did was while on I took off and back on the SIM card and the service came back on, I restarted and came with the same thing so I took it off and back on again and my service came back. Because I use a case I don't want to be taking it off plus doing the same with the SIM card so I reinstalled back the MHA-L09C432B182 and don't allow the system to update itself.
I recommend for you check your version if it is ...B190 and also do the SIM off and back on solution.
Hope this helps.

Question Only 2g network after OneUI 5.0 Stable update

Device: SM-S908E/DS
Region: India
Carrier: Airtel
OS: Android 13 (One UI 5.0 Stable)
I have been facing network issues after installing the latest OneUI 5.0 stable update officially through the Samsung OTA. Immediately after the reboot, the network automatically switched to 2G and hasn't upgraded to 4G LTE/5G since then. During the beta, I had 5G working for 3-4 weeks flawlessly.
Is someone else facing the same issue? I have since done a complete factory reset twice, sideloaded the latest stable update manually via adb. What else can I try? Samsung and Airtel both have asked me to wait 15 days to get this issue resolved.
Try that sim in another phone. Some airtel sims are falling
I have the same kind of issue after UI 5.0 update - Belgium European version.
I 'm randomly missing calls, don't receive sms. Tried sim card in another device no issue. Only way to solve is going in airplane mode and going back to normal mode but it does not solve the issue.
Also did factory reset but it did not solve the issue. Hoping November update to come with fix or new kernel/modem.

Hello Mario,
I managed to solve it by removing my secondary sim card, it seems that it was conflicting with the main one. Since then no more issues but it was 3 months ago and did not test back with two sim cards and i got 4 or 5 updates since then.

Maybe tro to move your sim card from one slot to the other one and test back. Also try with another sim card if possible, or with your current sim card in another phone.
