I think Huawei disabled install for those apps. I have the same bug. And someone else posted the same thing a few days ago.

Might be antutu as well. Judst downloaded from apkmirror and it just says there was a problem parsing the package.
Edit: using pm install gives the following
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INTERNAL_ERROR: Failed to extract native libraries: Failed to parse package: /data/app/vmdl371834363.tmp: Inconsistent package com.antutu.ABenchMark in /data/app/vmdl371834363.tmp/base.apk]

Edit 2: I might have had trouble installing antutu on C432B198 as well. I can't remember.

Oreo compatibility issues and/or they don't want benchmarks to be run on the device.
Try sideloading the app if possible, via APKMirror or similar site.

tried it,downloaded both apps from apkmirror, latest versions, and tried to run them on mate 9.it says "staging app" and after a few seconds i get an error message "there was a problem parsing the package."
this is crazy, could be from the apps tho.
Edit: i have a leagoo s8 and tried sideloading on it too,and it worked.pretty sure is a compatibility issue tho,as i see antutu is changed, there are some new tests, so i guess that could be the problem.
What about an alternative benchmark program? Maybe it's just that one?
Personally, I'm not into benchmark programs. If the phone seems smooth, quick & snappy, good enough for me.
I guess gamers are another issue, which I understand, but for most people, benchmark programs are kind of worthless, to me
anyway.

I am posted that. No way to install antutu benchmark, kepp getting 501 error, even after hard reset
I bet that Huawei blocks benchmarks on this build.
It rolled out via HiCare - os update early adopters.
Additionally, I found xml-file with list of popular benchmarks on one of oldest ROM. Don't know why Huawei made it and why stored in /system.
If someone is on Oreo build and has root - please, search for xml-file with names of benchmarks. Maybe it is there.
is it really necessary to know how fast it work? If a benchmark app will run, what does it change???
If the phone is running more or less fast, you could not change that. So for me thinking about that makes no sense.
Sorry, but this is my statement about that.
feel free to start a **** storm now.
There is another bug i noticed.
Autobrightness turned off.... Still dims the screen sometime.
Performance of the Oreo is not consistent as nougat. It is sometimes faster but can get choppy.
At least the battery is the same.

/system/etc/benchmar_app.xml
Removed all [values] in that xml and now antutu can be installed.
Not sure if you need to remove ",verify" from /system in /vendor/etc/fstab.hi3660
I have removed all verify and avb, else if you edit files in /system you might end up in a avb loop.

It's just weird that they'd disable it in a release. Sure if it's a beta, then your device might not perform at max performance.

can you post scores?
for me it was a 580-1798-704-588-1960-1806 sequence

the botched ones all have low graphics score.
physics score is pretty consistent and high.

Also included in the update: 45 new levels, and a new bird.

CM6.1 with the latest CFS uncapped kernel. I'd say it runs more than 10 fps, probably closer to 20. By no means is it as smooth as it is on the iphone/ipod or the EVO, but it's FAR better than it was prior to the update.

I currently do have JIT enabled. Even before I enabled it, and was running one of the CM6 nightlies, i was getting better than 10fps. Maybe 5 or 10fps at the worst moments, but the game for me has ALWAYS been slightly choppy, I'd say around 20ish fps at best, closer to 15 usually. It seems to be running right around 20-23fps right now, don't know if there's a way to test it.
EDIT: to clear this up, prior to the update, when I couldn't see textures, it seemed to run slower than it does with textures/full animation.

Mate 7 was released October 2014. Five Months to go for it's first birthday. Go get an HTC or a Sony. LOL
LOL
Well this beta will the first EVIDENCE of the existance of Lollipop for Mate 7...
oh my god this frustrating just release it now please.. I am desperate for some performance increase and better GUI speed...
It gets more and more frustrated, the frustrating has been freezed earlier cause I have been amazed by the big screen experience and good screen, but now when I am used to it I am more frustrated with the slow performance and multi tasking.. I know most people will not notice it but if you work fast and switch between apps fast constantly you get frustrated... Lollipop hopefully improve some things.
The people who do not demand better speed they just use their phone slow, and do not notice the lag.. the lag is for me noticeable.
I assume you already tried changing the power saving mode, considering the default one isn't optimized for performance...
Also lowering the animation scale in the developer options.
Hi guys,
I trust Huawei are sure that by May the new firmware release LP.

I got my Mi4C four days ago.
I already flashed TWRP and installed latest stable ROM from xiaomi.eu.
But even if the display quality is great, the speaker is awesome and the MIUI itself is still amazing.. the device isn't as fast as i was expecting.
The most tedious moment is when i'm writing a message (either sms, whatsapp or telegram). It's like the vibration is delayed and sometimes typed letters appears all together after 1 or 2 seconds instead of appearing one by one as i write them. I was expecting more from a hexacore snapdragon bloody super powerful processor... I mean, my old Nexus 4 with Minimal OS (Android 6.0) was incredibly faster while typing.
Ok, the Nexus 4 also took incredibly ugly photos and opening an app required more time than on Mi4C but the overall experience was more fluid.
Do you have the same feeling? or it just meets your needs?

Solved! (enabling "record audio" in permissions settings) Thank you.
First time using MIUI daily eheh..
Well.. that's weird. I let one of my friends try typing with my device and he confirmed that it feel like "delayed".
You barely notice it when you type one or two letters but with long words or even long messages it becomes a thing.
As i wrote i used Minimal OS (Android 6.0) on the Nexus4 and it was incredibly faster when using the google keyboard.
Is there anything i can check to understand if there is some performance issue?
how much should the Antutu score be? or how do i check if the device is original? (it actually looks like a legit Mi4C since everything appears as it should be..)

First i would try 1 or 2 other Keyboards, if there is no such issue, you could look in settings, language and input, spell checker, click on the little world icon and disable " look for contact names". And you can open the Google keyboard settings, advanced, key popup dismiss delay and set it to "no delay".

Good to hear that now you can look what was the cause when you re-enable the things you have disabled, but just one after another. I think its the contact names thing, or Google suggestions.

It looks like the major delay is caused by the "spell checker" in "language and input" settings.
Some minor delays also come with "Suggest contact names" and "Next-word suggestions" in the Google Keyboard Settings.
Didn't understand if "Show correction suggestions" and "Auto-correction" have a part on this trouble yet.

I tried the original stable ROM from en.miui and I had problems with PlayStore. I did install it successfully using the GoogleInstaller apk but every app showed the msg "Your device is not compatible".
I think i'm gonna try the last weekly build from xiaomi.eu. (Do you think i can dirty-flash it? i'm running the last stable rom from xiaomi.eu)
Would like to wait for a stable CM13 before switching to CM (just to enjoy MIUI a bit more )

I don't own the phone, unfortunately. I just spotted the full manual camera mode in a video review.
As a reluctant owner of this particular phone, I can say with utter certainty that api2 is enabled, but no mod I've tried has installed successfully.

That's good to hear.
I know it's a bit unrelated to the topic at hand but... would you recommend this phone to a casual user like me who just wants to use it for multimedia (YouTube, VLC etc.), What'sApp, Reddit, Twitter, snapping some photos (mostly in broad daylight) and maybe some lightweight 2D games here and there (Angry Birds etc.)?
I don't care much about app loading times, as long as the UI is smooth and stutter-free.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, 3GB variant isn't available in my country. There's either the 9A 2GB or 9C in both 2GB and 3GB variants. I was hoping to install the lightweight Android 11 Go Edition GSI (not a big fan of MIUI) some time in the future, but it appears to be impossible at the moment.
Do you think I should avoid this phone altogether and look for something else?
Thanks!

The phone isn't a bad one per say, with light use you can probably get quite a bit out of it. Especially after rooting becomes available and you can disable some of the bloat (yeah, never thought I'd say Android One and Bloatware in reference to the same device). It can run games with a decent performance and, of course the battery is what you'd expect from a 5000mah battery in a low spec phone. Battery backup for the win.

Can anyone confirm this?
The phone seems to have a full manual or "Pro" mode so I was wondering if it also supports Camera2 API and GCam?
Thanks in advance!

I got only 7-8 hours screen on time
I'd like to install a custom ROM on my 6a, and graphene didn't satisfy me, so I'd like to know if anyone's found any others that i could try out lol
Calyx is out, but its kinda simmilar. Lineage 20 will hopefully come next year, which is the one I'm looking forward to

I'm looking at Calyx, and it seems like it would actually work. Graphene didn't work for me because all of the apps it came with were out of date and didn't work right, but given the fact that Calyx uses well known privacy focused apps, it looks like I'll be good to go once they've come out with their Android 13 update lol
Been running Graphene on mine since it dropped. Only issue I've had is some of my games don't play well with it. Software, am I right? /shrug
yea im waiting for custom roms. im getting impatient. im considering buying a pixel 6 or 6 pro so i can have some custom rom love

First of all, they're not out of date. They're the latest from AOSP. Oh, and they DO work right.
Second, if you don't like, that's what makes Android great -- install alternative applications, I suggest from F-droid.

Please don't write things that are demonstrably false. The truth is inverse of what you have written.
To be fair, the graphene apps have a popup that tells you its apps are not meant for your current version of android. Also they're in my opinion painful to look at because they don't comply to the system theme

So you're saying that the tor browser isn't known for its privacy? I HIGHLY doubt that

Just run Stock, you are better off, if you need to optimise just root and debloat, much better alternative to Graphene os or Calyx IMO. if you don't want to root debloat using adb. Best of luck

Id be surprised iif that were the case. Android has changed, but twrp usuallly adapts sooner or later
This thread is custom roms for the 6a. I just posted what i found. didnt mean to upset anyone by mentioning telegram or an actual custom rom. some people like custom roms, like me.

More to the point, custom recovery is pointless when you have fastboot.
