[Resolved] Xmodgames now working Android lollipop

Many of you are getting error:crying: on running Xmodgames on your latest android Lollipop 5.0.1 the reason behind this is the old version of xmod does not works on latest android lollipop .
so solution of this problem is a Xmod For android lollipop Yes you read it correct now xmod support android lollipop.
As it is beta version so it may not work in many devices like Samsung S5,Note 3 etc you can solve that problem also by flash a custom kernel that support selinux permissive and then test it and give me your feed back that it is working or not.Tested on my moto e with CM 12 on Clash of clan (coc),8 balls Working fine.
And many other mobiles are tested like moto g,galaxy s4 etc

Every time i open an error occurs (Unfortunately, XModGames has been stopeped) please help me out...

No go.. ran through the steps several times with no luck.
Note 3, Lollypop 5.0 with CF Root.
Is there a kernal I can flash that will fix this?

Got a QiKU 360 N4, tutorial to unlock bootloader is in chinese. Halp!

I hope this is the right thread.
Hello bois, I got a QiKU 360 N4 which is a pretty sick phone for the money I paid it.
It came out recently on the chinese market and its bootloader is locked.
I googled a bit and found some tutorials tho unlock the bootloader and install TWRP, because somebody compiled that already! Awesome, right?
Too bad are in chinese, yeah.
Google translate doesn't help that much, it is incomprehensible, and even if it did help: I am required to sign up to the chinese forum to read the whole tutorial (which requires me to understand how to sign up) and from what I understand the procedure makes use of a software running on windows to enter the bootloader and such software is in chinese only!
So I am looking for some kind soul who could translate the procedure and, if possible, reupload the necessary files somewhere so people like me wouldn't have to sign up to the linked chinese forum to get them.
In exchange I can offer some tips on health and fitness for I have a master in sports sciences. Or, I could offer you a beer?
P.S. sadly xda does not allow me to post links, can link in private... I guess.

Please PM me the link to the website . I don't know Chinese but I remember a root tool that was in Chinese and I will try my best to "mimic" how I got my way around that.

The tool they use is to unlock the bootloader and it's a proprietary tool.

I'm sorry but I did not have time yesterday. I don't have access to a proper computer so I am using my raspberry pi to do all this. Since it does not have a photo editor I am working on a google slide document that will be accessible by link. I'll post it here as fast as I am done

Here is how far I have come. I assume you have to download a bunch but at least the company gives you information. I've heard numerous people who buy Chinese phones and are stuck with whatever software they offer.

Yeah there is no chance to write a custom rom because the kernel source is never being given by Mediatek.
However having the ability to backup and play around with the stock firmware is great.

True, I like how it has become a meme that "I'll die before mtk releases their sources".

Any more news on this? Loving my N4 so far, but would like to install TWRP and gapps, but not quite sure how. Have read somewhere that Kingroot has worked on other Qiku/360 phones but haven't got that far myself. Any chance you could send me that link to me too, your googling skills are clearly far superior to my own!

I wiped my data from the stock recovery and now i am stuck at boot logo.I don't know how that happened.but i think i have to flash stock firmware which i cant find anywhere.
Qiku forum is unresponsive and there is no other place with info of this rare phone.

There is a whole Qiku N4 forum but it's in chinese .... didnt have time to bother with it,
since it requires to be registered ...
And, as bonus ...
I found Russian modified ROM's ....
HERE for HW version A01
and
HERE for HW version M02
TWRP Recovery - HERE
Check HW version of your phone, if you want to flash roms and BEFORE screwing it up.
Hope that's enough for now ....
p.s. Be carefull what are you doing and flashing into phone. Links I posted are from third party sources,
people reported they are working, but all you do - you do on your own responsibility.

Hello Alex,
Those links are sadly down.
Do you know any other link to a stock N4 image and scatter file that I could use to factory-reset a pattern-locked N4 ? I got my hands on a discarded one, but the factory reset option in recovery mode requires that cloud account be first deleted, which I can't to because of the pattern lock.

Is the cell phone on your hand 360n4? This cell phone has two versions of 360n4 and 360n4s

Yes, it a 360N4, not a 360N4S.
What I'm trying to do is follow that howto : http://www.cnroms.com/360-n4-061-unlock-bootloader-install-twrp-recovery.html to downgrade it, then factory reset it and install TWRP.
However, I can't read chinese (can't even tell whether it's cantonese or mandarin). Google Translate helps, but most link seem to be broken, and when they're not, the download speed is abysmally slow (several days…).
Is there any way you could help me ? Maybe get the needed files and reupload them somewhere faster ?

Strange "zygote" process root permissions request

Hello guys,
Yesterday this strange and unknown process "zygote" started asking me root permissions. Obviously I have not given them to it but I'm worried about because googling it I read that it could be linked with Triada malware, that exploits Zygote, this fundamental part of Android.
Anyone knows what the hell is it? Thank you.

A real zygote will never ask for root, as it has it anyway. You got yourself a virus...

I found the problem, it was WhatsApp Extension, a Xposed module. Just deactivated and removed it.

I am also using it and it is asking zygote and whatsapp root privilege.. It gives a decent privacy option so should I uninstall it..??

Just happened here: "zygote" requesting for root permissions. Have Xposed installed and barely one single module running (Xtoast) as of now. I've been using Xposed in several devices, ranging from GB to MM and I can't remember zygote asking for root permissions before. This one (Acer S57) is KK 4.4.4, though it's not pure Android and I must say that I actually have a red warning from Xposed installer (attachment), so yes, I've installed under my own "risk". After some research on the subject, I've found some people suggest it could be either a SuperSu (v2.82) bug, or some sort of malware... After checking via Apps2SD emulator (attachment) there's only one zygote process, so I'm almost concluding that most likely, this has everything to do with Xposed being installed on Acer's custom ROM. Whatever; meanwhile I decided to follow suggestions about not granting permissions to zygote since as a "general rule", this is not supposed to happen. I'll keep an eye on this and place this question on the proper Xposed thread, because I'm pretty sure this ain't no malware but something related to Xposed...

I am fairly certain that no app will ask your root permissions. That's just ridiculous and also keep in mind, that applications are developed for locked phones, which means they naturally won't have access to root. There is no reason for them to be asking root permissions.

I also had this zygote pop-up in 2 of my devices and it appeared in both devices after i Installed hebf optimiser..can anyone confirm if it's a virus? I gave it root access to see what it does

BTW, a few minutes earlier, I just denied zygote root permission request, this time on Moto G4 Plus... and I DON'T have "WhatsApp Extensions", but a nice amount of other Xposed modules installed. Must watch which one fails to do it's job, I guess... or just do what @rovo89 says.

In Lucky patcher, goto Settings, click 'Force set root check' and then select 'Force set root mode' .Next, exit and re-launch app, and then grant root access when the prompt comes up. You can go back to Toolbox to see the other options.

i rooted my s8 G950FD AND flash a new rom it's omega rom kk i download freedom but when i start the program google play doesn't work
i go to delete hosts file but it doesn't delete i used many program to delete it but nothing work
please i wanna help i have another phone it's work it version is lolipop but my s8 is nougat 7.0 please i wanna run freedom without problem

that freedom app is a well known warez app and according to our Forum Rules we do not encourage / support it.
