So what exactly does this mean? Does it give permissions to skip the wait for unlocking the bootloader or what?

Hello.
The linked Russian thread was closed.
Where can we get an authorized account for free?
Good news!
To everyone with a bricked device, I emailed the global service department and asked them to authorize my account for my bricked Redmi note 5 pro and they replied back saying to wait a bit because it's done by server and my account will be authorized. I will try tonight when I get home to see if it works.
Here is the link, use the one at the bottom where it says global

They reply the same message to everyone. So...
I've got answer from them on 21th August and still nothing. Imagine that server's capabilities, it can't handle bunch of numbers.
Xiaomi is really getting worse day by day.. ?? they should have fix this issue asap but instead they are just sitting and laughing on us and doing nothing... ??Pathetic .. ? I also want to authorize my Mi Account.. any solution.. ?
I also need to have my account authorized. I sent a couple of pm to mods in miui forum but no response so far.
Maybe Xiaomi won't disable the authorization barrier ever, they are greedy and wanna sell new devices...

Title: Xiaomi introduce l’anti-rollback su Xiaomi Mi A1, Mi A2 e Mi A2 Lite
Source: Xiaomitoday
In the article above (in italian) they explain how Xiaomi introduced the Anti-Rollback in the Mi A1 and other phones. They explain how this implementation is the main reason behind many phone bricks after downgrading from 9.0 to 8.1.
If this is true (I have not found other sources to confirm this, although plausible), my suggestion is to wait for a stable/non-buggy version of Pie befor updating.
I hope this could be of any help to someone else!

Well, I've "rolled back"" just fine. AND flashed LineageOS 15.1 once stock Oreo was done. So that info is fake news.

I really hope it is fake news, however it was even posted on the MIUI forum by a super moderator:
Thread title: [News] Rollback Warning for Mi A1 after Upgrading to Android P
and by another moderator on a different thread:
Title: [Others] Rollback Warning for Mi A1, Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite after Upgrading to Android P
This being said, I did not say it was certain, but it is better to take some precautions rather than just flash the first beta that pops out, before deciding to go back due to bugs.

Unfortunately some "other" sites seem to revel in posting scare stories to enhance their Google SEO rankings. It drives traffic and makes them money...
It's always better if someone posts "news" that they have experienced themselves, of course.
But in the case of the Mi A1 at least, going from the December Pie update (which isn't that great IMHO) to the Oreo November build is fairly painless and completely successful.

Hi guys,
Been searching the forums and located some nice information but i would like a full guide step by step tutorial which can help me and others who are in a similar situation.
I dont want to brick my phone as i only got it yesterday but unfortunately has the china ROM. I managed to get google stuff installed but the assistant aint working so best to install the global ROM that has all this stuff already pre-loaded.
Could someone be so kind to provide me with a step to step tutorial on how to fully flash the global rom which i found here: https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-mix-3-miui-10-global-stable-android-pie-download/
I would really appreciate it Help a fellow noob out!
Thanks!
P.s, usually i just go and wing it but i dont want to brick / break the phone. I live in ireland so hopefully this global one works out. I enabled the dev option and already have the unlocker app from xiaomi, i have my mi account hooked to the mi unlock status so im just waiting on myself to unlock via the app on my PC from xiaomi. So thats where i am right now.
Pps, i see theres an EU ROM as well as global? Which one is better? Is there much difference?
My Phone is a mi mix 3 running MIUI Version 10.0.12.0(PEECNFH) Stable on Android 9.0

Go back one page and look down.
EU rom is based on chinese rom, other than that there isn't much difference.
Wheres the TWRP download for the mi mix 3? I cant find it anywhere, thanks

I'm equally disappointed about Google because "Android One" is their brand, so they should make sure that all "Android One" devices are up to fking date like their Pixels and ...working. Should be possible with those handful "Android One" models out there, no?
lol
People in Xiaomi are comically inept
just think about all of their users / customers who have no idea about what are ADB, EDL,TWRP, etc etc...who don't know how to change active partition or reflash the entire phone....in other words, people who expect the phone they paid for to actually work.
I bought android one phone out of curiosity. I am most definitely never going to buy chinese crap again

look...thanks for the effort and attempt to help...but I simply don't care any more. I am on 11.0.7 and spent countless hours in the past months fixing and fighting errors that morons from Xiaomi should have fixed before they rolled out any update. Keeping this phone until the battery starts failing, then it goes straight to the trash bin. As someone said before...f**k Xiaomi.
We'll see if it still lags after a few days of usage.
Sorry if this is a silly question but can someone list out why someone would want to unlock their BL , and flash a mi note 10 rom?
I ordered a CC9 Pro that is supposed to come with all official google support (according to the seller). i DO need to have:
-Google pay
-Google playstore
-Gcam
Can I stay with the original CC9 pro firmware? I don't want to tinker too much since i've read some horrible stories of a bricked phone here...

I don't think you can use Google Pay on an unlocked phone. Something to do with security.

I'm not sure going to Mi Note 10 firmware will bring any benefits.
CC9 firmware has call recording built into the dialer, you'll lose that feature if you switch to Mi Note 10 firmware. I think you'd lose more than you'd gain.
What features do you want to gain?
Sent from my Mi Note 10 using Tapatalk
Thanks, as long as I can use the 3 i mentioned, I"m fine with CC9 pro then..
I really dont know what features i COULD gain with a mi note 10 actually. is there a place to read up the differences?

Mi Note 10 comes with stock camera app, not GCam. I don't know if it's different to the CC9 camera app, but I doubt it's noticeably different to most people.
Mi Note 10 has Google dialler as oppose to CC9 which has MUIU dialer. MUIU dialer has extra features like call recording built in.
Mi Note 10 has Google Pay and it works as fine, I've used it myself.
I'm not completely sure if the CC9 works with Google pay or not, you could maybe try this out on your phone? Though I'm pretty sure that a phone with unlocked bootloader wouldn't work with Google Pay.

You can't use gpay on an unlocked phone with stock ROM. You would have to install TWRP and flash xiaomi.eu. It's a modded MIUI ROM with pre-installed Google Services + working Google Pay.
