Hey guys. My name is Jordan. I have been on Android Central and XDA Develipers for a while now and have been working on starting to do my own reviews and stuff and have started a website I am looking to see what peoples opinions are. I have my first post up there and plan on doing more just want to get some opinions from the people on AC. Please let me know. Link removed by moderator
Oh where to begin. For me I have come from many Android Devices such as the Moto Droid 1, Droid 2, Droid X, HTC Aria, Samsung Captivate, and Dell Streak along with getting to play with many others such as the HTC Evo, LG Ally, LG Vortex,
all of the LG Optimus series, Nexus 1 and Nexus S. All of these phones have been fun and I have been in the constant toss up of weather to stick with my Captivate or move over to one of the new phones. I work for AT&T currently and we have 3 new phones that are coming out within the next few months. I took a look at everything and have been sitting there for about 2 weeks and finally decided it was time to switch. I loved my Captivate but it was behind the curve and got tired of waiting for the offical 2.2 update to come out.
So after I decided if I wanted to switch it was time for me to pick which one of these 3 new phones I wanted to go with. So I sat down and did my research and looked at everything I could. The first phone to get knocked off was the Samsung Infuse. The phone seems like it will be cool but it had some negatives. After having the Captivate and waiting for the update that kind of got me fed up with Samsung. I know that it is partly At&T's fault but is also part Samsung's also. The other thing about the phone is that it is a 4.5 inch screen. Witht that size it is pusing it beyone beleif. I personally feel anything larger then 4.3 is going to be to big. Yes the Super Amoled + screen will be nice and so will the 16 gig internal storage but to me the 2 main problems I had with it were way to large of negatives. So that left me in a toss up between the Atrix and the Inspire. I looked at the Inspire and figured that I really couldnt find any negatives about the phone. The Atrix
on the other hand is hard. I like the fact that it is Dual Core but it is also a negative where it will suck a lot of battery. Next I hate the price tag. $199 and $459 for the laptop dock. That is flat out rediculous. The $199 for the phone is fine but the Dock is to expensive. Next is Moto Blur. I am not a fan it seems to slow phones down and is a big pain in the butt for most users. So after all of that I decided the Inspire was the way to go.
So I picked up the Inspire with a 4G sim card and have been using it for the last few days. The phone has been running really smooth.
First off is going to be overall looks of the phone. The phone is absolutely beautiful. The size is just right it isnt to small, not to big, but right in between. I like the look. It dosent look like a cheap plastic phone either. It seems like it has a good build quality to it. I like where they have the buttons positioned and am happy that the speaker grill and buttons are all chrome finished. It gives the phone a nice look. The battery door is the one big negative. It is a pain to pull off but if you are a person that dosent see yourself doing this often then you will be perfectly okay with this. Another think that is kind of inconvinent is the position of the 3.5 MM headphone jack.
Next I want to go into the overall User Interface of the phone. The UI is awsome. I have always been a fan of HTC Sense and this definantly dose it justice with it being the newest version of Sense. The clock widget with the weaher and temprature is awsome.
It dose not slow the phone down at all. It is very snappy and I like the set up of it. Along with sense you get a lot of cool backgrounds that are cool and fun to use. With the new sense you are also able to create and account that will alow you to track your phone if it is ever lost and maybe even wipe the phone which I am not completely sure about that but I beleive you can.
Next is the screen. So the screen is something that I was really surprised about with this phone. To be quite honest it was my biggest fear in switching. Coming from the Super Amoled to the LCD wasnt bad at all. To be quite honest they look almost identical. The phone displays pictures and video quality very well. It works awsome and is clear I have no complaints. Along with that the screen is also very responsive. It dose not have any issues with not responding to my touch and it is clear and very snappy. Part of this snappiness is because of the nice 1 GHZ proccessor.
So how about that 8 megapixel camera? It is a very nice clear camera for both still and video quality. I have used it for multiple purposes so far. One of the big ones is when I have been working on my girlfriends car the last few days. I was able to take pictures of parts that were broken or things that may be causing the issue and they were clear and able to displayed perfectly. I sent the pictures to multiple people and they were all very surpirsed. Another nice feature is that you are able to zoom in very far with the camera. It was needed for a few pictures and kept it very clear along with a few dark shots that LED flash helped quite a bit. Video is perfect also. I was doing a few videos for a friend that was
doing some random BMX stuff also. Worked good and was able to send them to my friends for them to use as they want.
So what good is a phone if it has crappy call quality. I have used many different phones as previously noted and to be quite honest this is one of the most clear call qualities I have ever had. I have called friends on different carriers and different devices and all said that I sound clear and I was not muffled and using speaker phone was the same thing just fully clear. On my end calls came through clear and wasnt muffled also sounded amazing with the speaker phone. Both spearks are clear and allow you to turn the phone up quite a bit if need be. Another very good quality.
Signal Strength is awsome I have not had any dropped calls and seem to be running in Hspa+ and HSPDA. I have gotten signal in a few areas where I previously
would not have been able to.
So the last thing and one of the most important is Battery life. It is something that could be better. I have tuned setting and the phone seems to only get me through about 7 or 8 hours with minimal texting and internet browsing and a few phone calls that come up to less then 1 hour. This is alright but is not the best. I was able to get a 12 hour day out of my Captivate but this is something I can work around and that isnt a big issue for me beacuse I am normally out for that time and have a tendancy to charge my phone multiple times a day without even thinking about it. So for some people this may be a major negative but for me not so much.
So overall I have fallen in love with this phone and am happy with it. I will be posting some benchmark scores here soon. I will continue using this phone and can not see any issues with what I used to have.
This g2x is the ****.. I suggest everyone and their mother get one..
Its very stable.
Fast, great camera, light bleed issue is just picky people as no one in another thread could post real work proof it effects usability, the reboot issue is non existent on this bad boy having bloat removed or before that. The battery is as good as any other phone I've used and if you get a sleep of death while charging exchange the battery...
While some are having the issue, others like me are not. Call me lucky? Naa, ive had 3, first two a week each, this last one almost a month..none have rebooted, screen of death, or lags. I really don't think I could be that lucky as to get three without the usual issue.. Just cause this forum shows a number of issues, dont be discouraged from buying one... I paid full price for mine and I wouldn't return it for 1000......
Some are perfectly fine, just like the phone review sites say... None of theres rebooted, why ?
I love my phone too, i really do think that only minority of the g2x users are encountering the problems . seeing the high demand that resulted to g2x being out of stock. I have not one a single problem on my phone. Although battery could be a bit better.
Again, people that has no problems and are contented with their phones won't be visiting forums like xda.

I can only imagine where this thread will end up. You pick at the complainers continuously smashpunks yet you seem to instigate the complaining oh so well. Weren't you the one that started a thread complaining about the complainers?
I think everyone and there mother also knows by now that you love your phone and it bears remarkable quality for you.
I'm getting sick of seeing similar threads clutter up the forums from time to time too but you certainly aren't helping the matter either.

Wow, a praise thread cluttering up the forum huh.....lol
That there was the funniest thing I ever read.....
To each I hate my g2x forum topics, ill make a i love my g2x..
If they can post hate threads, I can post happy threads....your not happy so move on to the unhappy forums....
Love my g2x as well. Only physical problems that I can live with is light leakage at the top that can only be seen in certain conditions and lack of a led notification. Other than that, everything else ill be fixed via updates especially with the support of cyanogen.
My G2x is the best cell phone I have ever used. Crazy fast, no reboots, no freezing, zero lag. Only slight light bleeding. For my fellow g2x owners experiencing issues, I feel for you and I hope you can get a stable/reliable device asap. To my fellow g2x owners not experiencing any problems, rock on.
I love my G2x as well, and I'm keeping mine. I still can't get over how fast and smooth it is. The build quality and feel in hand are second to none, and I think I'm developing a fetish for beveled Gorilla Glass.
Cant wait to see what the future holds for this phone.

Ditto. I have 3 G2X's in my household and they are all perfect with ZERO issues.
Too many cry babies flooding the forums with negativity causing a bad image. Like any electronics, there will be some with issues, however with our phones...
The solution is so simple I don't get it. Everyone has 14 days to exchange the device, yet it seems like some would like to spend their time whining about it when they have options....LOL
I'm in total agreement. I love it. A totally amazing piece of work. Fast, well made, and lightweight. But I'm in the club now too unfortunately.
My first one lasted just about two weeks before it locked up w/ the flashlight on. Twice. So I got a new one next dayed to me friday.
This one is totally bedeviled. Multiple random reboots, Hosed up with a very loud buzzing sound until I removed battery, and today the screen went to black while on a phone call, had to reboot. Internet connectivity is also intermitent. And definately laggy on Angry birds- the video seems jerky. And I've barely used it so could be more issues.
The screen bleed on the first was very minimal, a bit on both sides of the top. Second one had almost none....teeny bit on the left. Never bothered me at all on either one.
I'm a huge and vocal fan of this phone, so I'll go for an exchange 1st thing tuesday thru Cellhub. Major pain for me though, but I'll take it in stride. I think most of the issues will be corrected with the software update, I really do. My problem is that buzzing sound. Not good.
I may ask about waiting a bit. Maybe there will be a new batch soon....or an update. The loaner phone I had last week sucked LOL I'm not sure how long I could live without my baby...
I'm not hijacking this thread. I agree that this is an awesome phone. It brings convergence into the new millenia and I'm totally glad I bought it. But clearly there ARE issues.
More people have no problems than do.I'm confident I'll be in the "no problems" club soon. My daughters has been problem free. So I know they are out there.
Edit; AND I saw 25 mbps on this phone...wow! Again...wow. And T Mobile rocks. My 1st bill came and it was less than I thought it was gonna be. Don't tell T Mobile LOL!
i had problems with my first one, random reboots, lockups etc. i paid full price for mine also so i just went and exchanged it. so far no problems what so ever i'm rooted with stock rom and all bloatware removed. my battery lasted almost 1 day and i was shocked. best phone ever!

This phone has issues probably more than most but will be fixed. Just give it time. Once the software catches up with the hardware it will be glorious.
G2x with CM7 and faux kernel
I love mine to. Best phone I've ever had. My battery last longer than any other android device I've ever used.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but its simply not possible to get 25mb/s on this phone. There must have been something wrong with the app you used. The radio on this phone only supports up to 14.4mb/s. Glad you like the phone though. I absolutely love mine. Haven't had any software issues. I do have pretty bad light bleeding so I will probably exchange it through cs.

Burst my bubble good LOL.
Yep, I was on wifi. Feeling quite stupid thanks.
Test was by Speedtest. Looks like my speeds are more like 6-7 mbps.....still four times the fastest I was seeing on MetroPCs or Sprint.
I thought I read that the theoretical high end on the phone was around 44mbps?

I Love my phone too...I've had nearly zero trouble with it (one random reboot on the second day...no other problems for over a month). I do feel sorry for those who ended up with bad phones though. There are always going to be some faulty devices, but it seems like the g2x started out with more than it's share. But I have no doubt all the kinks will be worked out. All-in-all I've never been happier with any mobile device (excluding my semi-mobile gaming laptop).
It will take more than some fancy schmancy weather animations/lock screens to make me give up full hmdi mirroring and a 72Hz refresh rate H-IPS display. The sensation's slightly faster processor and slightly higher resolution, will be more or less imperceptible to human eyes. So all there is left, is a bigger screen and i have my dell streak for that. Thanks, but no thanks. I'll stick with my G2x.

Dude! I don't need you to make me look stupid. I do a great job of that all by myself ha ha!
That's why I'm here, to suck up all youse guys knowledge.
So with all the threads out there complaining about the lack of features that came with the 8X or WP8, I thought it due time for me to post an update on my phone.
My only request is if youv'e got a real anger issue with something that I post, and want to flame, do it in your backyard, all I hope to see here is just a little love for the 8X and the WP8, K punkins!?
So its been 3 months now, thought I would update what I posted before in the '2 weeks with my 8X' thread. And yes, its a thread full of mcluvin for my 8X. Call me a fanboy, I don't mind. Still gonna sleep good knowing my phone is taking care of my wake up concerns!
so without further adue (spelling? I aint french), here we go:
Industrial Design/Durability - 3 months ago, all I heard was about durability, corners going bad, screen scratching, etc. Well, 3 months later and my phone is still called 'sexy beast' because it really is just a beautiful phone. I keep it in my pocket as well, and the corners are still looking as good as the day I got it. Cleaning is still easy, and I have noticed a few minor scratches on the screen, which considering how many times I put it in the same pocket as my keys, thats downright amazing! My TB had screen gouges after the 1st month.
Build Quality - Still solid as a rock! That little issue about the 1mm difference is still not something I notice, so its still rocking out, lookng and performing great.
Usability of Buttons - I wouldn't say I have large hands, at least I don't think I do. I have noticed that when I hold the phone in my left hand (my usuall position), the volume buttons fall perfectly between my first finger which rests just below the buttons and my next two fingers, which are able to grasp the sides of the phone without touching the rockers. The camera button then falls between the pinky which also rests just below the button and my two middle fingers. And its an easy slide for me to swing my finger to the power button. When the phone is in a pocket and I am listening to music, I find the volume buttons raised just enough where I can find them inside the pocket, and turn up or down. I haven't had any issues with the buttons, and actually find them better in terms of functionality than the buttons on my old TB. And just learned something the other night when my alarm went off. i don't have to hit the off or snooze, just give any button a love tap, bip, off goes the alarm! Woo Hoo! Thankfully the buttons are no problem for me!
Screen - still a gorgeous screen! Still crystal clear! The minor scratches are only seen in full daylight (don't get much of that in WA) and only when viewed at an angle. Otherwise, you wont notice it. And my oils still wipe off without any issues.
Windows Phone 8 - I am still loving the OS of this baby, and sorry folks, I still don't know what the Portico update did! Havent noticed anything new, other than the Wifi thing, which was never a bother for me. I always managed to stay under 1/2 GB even with internet, streaming vids and radios. Its still wicked smooth, quick and very responsive. Still no lag, and only had one random reboot last week. I blame me for that, I was fooling around and started hitting all the tiles I could as fast as I could. It kept trying to open everything I hit, then shut down and came back.
Bottom Line - I still love this phone! Any little issues that I have encountered (few, really few and far between) really are overshadowed by the performance, design, and reliability of the phone and OS itself. I keep learning something new on it, and keep getting compliments!
So I would like to challenge other 8X folks, lets see if we can spread some love to our phones instead of complaining about the little things!
My name is Jerry, and this is my Windows phone!
I've had my 8X for a few months as well, and I have been very impressed with both the hardware and software aspects of the device. It's actually one of the few gizmos I've bought that actually exceeded my expectations.

I tend to agree with you. It's a great phone. I am starting to see the black corners and I have the more than occasional lag when using the windows buttons at the bottom but apart from that, I am happy.
Funny, I had an iPhone I just had to jailbreak. I had an android that I had to keep flashing and with the exception of wanting a few more theme colors and a little tighter integration with Skype, I'm a very happy camper.
I started this journey with the HD2 and WP7 when it first came out. Liked the OS but hated the lack of apps. Went back to android and then bought my HD7. Things continued to improve bit by bit and then I stepped up to a Lumia 900 with WP7.5. Except for the front facing camera (which I want but never use...) and a few of the Nokia apps, it didn’t seem too much of an upgrade from the HD7. Then I got the 8X. Lve the way my live tiles are laid out, love the look, the feel and overall I'm extremely happy.
The only reason I will jump at the next WP8 to be released is if it has an SD expansion slot. I find the 8GB version a real pain (even with skydrive) and the 16GB version has filled up to 13GB in a very short space of time. I'm surprised they ever released WP8 without a requirement for adding storage. MS dictate the start screen buttons, why not storage configs?
Anyway, enough said. Love the phone 95% and that's a damn good number! Cheers! :good:
A little more love
Just wanted to add some love for a feature on the 8X that really is better than any other phone I have used.
thats the bluetooth. I use a vehicle, 2 actually, that have the Sync option. And its so nice to have such quick and effortless connectivity to that system. I turn on the bluetooth, and connection is quick, and controls are flawless. And of course, with Beats working through BT, the sound is really great.
What I also like is how I can set the phone to 'vibrate' only, and it will continue to play sounds or provide turn by turn, read texts, etc until I turn car off, then it goes back into vibrate mode without me having to do anything.
My old TB wouldn't work half the time, or only half the controls would work, or it would skip or pause on and off for minutes on end.
Ah, so nice to be able to listen to music without a hitch.
Now, does anyone know where I can use the NFC? Wouldn't mind giving that a go! What about at like Jack in the box? Would it work there?
Tomorrow i arrive back to windows 8 i had the 8x the day it came out. I sold it thinking i needed ios or android i was wrong tomorrow my new htc8x arrives and I cant wait

I feel like this phone is a great phone for a small audience.. And that's for music lovers.. Other than that this phone is actually pretty bad... The camera is useless with all the grain.. The screen is horrible at night it bleeds out so much.. The UI is disgusting.. And OMG THE LAG IS ABSURD.. How they released a phone thats constatly lagging..
Tbh very disappointed I have never returned a phone in my life. And I buy almost every phone that's release... Now I have no option to switch to iphone 7 until I can find a pixel xl for a good deal...

Is this a joke? This phone is smooth as butter especially compared to the v10, you're either running it with a poorly performing sdcard or you've got a defect.
UI is disgusting? What it's like every other freaking phone. There are plenty of 3rd party launchers to change it as you see fit.
Camera I am unsure of since I haven't really used it much yet but I am sure its not horrible like you're claiming.
Either way good luck with whatever phone you choose next. I am being sincere if my phone was like that I'd change too but mine has been good so far.

Don't take this the wrong way. I'm just explaining my experience owning the phone since October so that you have more info about its capability.
Are you on a stock phone?
The rooting process and custom roms have allowed Dev's to fix many of the issues that existed on stock.
Lag? Mine is fast as sh*t. I came from the note 4 with one of the best custom roms (tx_dbs_tx) and this phone is much faster.
I'm on OvrDrive's rom and couldn't be happier. The latest update has the camera working faster and taking exceptional pictures. Better than my note 4.
Yes, the screen is not a sammy. When we are able to integrate kcal it will be close. I had kcal on an early rom version that really made the screen look good. Unfortunately, we have had problems with modifying the kernel, but I believe it is only a matter of time until it can be done safely.
I'm using a custom theme which looks great, especially at night. I don't spend a lot of time looking at my phone in a pitch black room, so I rarely see the bleed. This is the price you pay for a second screen, which I really like. I wouldn't trade the second screen for a phone without the second screen just to lose the bleed which I only see .01% of the time.
I got my wife an S7 edge. It is stock. Other than the great sammy screen, there is nothing that would make me consider trading my V20. I have so much more control over my phone than hers and can do much more.
If you are on stock, then maybe that is the problem. Rooted with a custom rom is great. If you aren't willing to go down that road, then, yes you should switch.

I am rooted. I have had the phone for about 10 days. I am on weta rom.. Is just I feel like this phone is phone is not the android experience I am used to.. I used the s7edge as well and did not like it either.. I am more of stock android. And I am starting to realize why people refuse to use anything but stock android.. I have had zero used for the second screen yeah it looks nice and I can see someone use it. But not me.. And the camera is. Really bad like dammed I think the nexus 6p takes netter pics. Selfies look like you have makeup.. Even with beauty turned off. AGAIN THIS IS MU EXPERIENCE.. Is my device defective?. Idk but highly doubt it.
I understand with the camera. I came from the v10 (also tmobile) and I can't figure out why the camera on the v20 takes such blurry/water color grainy what ever you call it pictures sometimes. Still hoping it's a software fix because the hardware is there. Should be at least as good as the v10 if not better... And it's not.
As for lag, I don't get it. Mine was smooth and fast for a while but now it lags sometimes. Open a text and count to 5 while I wait to see when it feels like actually popping up.
Sometimes I'm typing and waiting for the letters to pop up.
Ugh.
I wonder if it could be blamed on my SD card... It's the 200gb card that came with the v10.
I use SwiftKey keyboard. Never had a problem with lag before so I don't think it's the keyboard's fault.
My v10 was doing the same thing with the stock text messaging app and it wasn't even set to save anything so I don't think it had to do with large files or anything.
I set it up as new so I didn't bring a bunch of junk from my other phone and I don't really have all that many apps. I don't use the Facebook app and I don't have any problems at all with battery draining. The battery is awesome!
But I do wish I could figure out the lag. It doesn't make any sense that it should take so much time to open up my text messages. I would be tempted to blame it on the fact that I told it not to delete them anymore but like I said, the V10 was doing it and that one was deleting everything all the time!
I have costumized every aspects to get as close as to what I am used to and no luck at all.. I really tried to give this phone shot.. But just not for me..

I think they are not doing very well in optimizing their software

Ok, I get it. But why not give OrvDrive's rom a try since you are rooted? Can't hurt. His rom has the least complications of the others, not to bash them in any way. I appreciate the effort of all devs and know that behind the scene they are working together to some degree.
If you do find a better new phone, let me know. I might switch too.
Cheers.

Well good luck man hope it all works out for you. The no external memory support and the ridiculous price point for the pixel is why I didn't choose it.
To be honest I would not be using the v20 if a workable modern Samsung Note were out but we are about 6 months out for that and my v10 got the dreaded boot loop so I had to have a phone. Pixel is too expensive for what it offers, Apple is a scumbag company that I absolutely do not support and the s series from samsung doesn't interest me.
I am a big fan of removable batteries too despite not really using a phone long enough to need to replace the battery but I love aftermarket battery packs. LG is the only one to offer this and it looks like it might be the final high end model to feature this (the g6 looks to be water proof)

I was skeptical about the pixel.. But I'll tell you this..just the pure android and smoothness of a pixel phone alone is worth it.. I had never run into a single issue with that phone. Always butter smooth and never had a fc on any apps
LULZ.
Zero lag here. 3 months in. I'm using the H990DS model with no bloatware.
I also find the camera to be great. Love the wide angle lens as well. Not sure what you're smoking..

Camera great?. I s voted one of the worst camera of 2017 based on consumer..
Not sure why you think the camera takes poor quality pictures. This was taken with the wide angle camera (which most people think is generally terrible) in super low light, in situations where most phones would fail.
I'm also not sure what's bad about the UI? There are now a dozen or so themes that theme the actual system ui, and a trillion different launchers to theme your icons and app launcher.
No lag here. Over 60 user apps installed.
I use the second screen all the time for the quick flashlight access and for controlling Play Music when the phones docked in my car.
Your phone is either a dud, or you've got an app rampaging in the background somewhere.
Edit: ignore my broken TV. It somehow was cracked while wall mounting, and we handled it like it was the world's most valuable but brittle gem stone.
The second screen is practically a requirement for me after a year with the v10, the music controls without turning on the phone is such a fantastic feature along with the quick function shortcuts.
I am going to definitely miss it if the v series turns into a non removable battery phone or the note 8 grabs my attention.

If I can't root a phone I don't want it lol.
Also, maybe its the ROM your using, there are a lot of factors that play a part.
Hello everyone,
This is not a question but a feedback.
The perfect smartphone may never exist, but I am satisfied with my Galaxy S8 +, although I should encounter problems with it in the future, I must admit that it is a very good smartphone. I had a Galaxy S7 Edge then a Huawei P9 just before, but I did not feel like having a new product, they all looked alike.
My experience has changed with the S8 + that I find very successful, although still perfectible ....
excuse my bad English.
thank you

This device is pretty damned good. I look forward to the full implementation of Bixby though. The only bad thing is that TMobile didn't have the case I wanted so I didn't get one, and I dropped the phone the next morning and shattered the back of the phone.
overall ok. but I hate where the fingerprint scanner is. I had an LG v20 so coming from a logical spot middle of back easy to get to, to s8+ up top is incredibly stupid. I highly doubt any new phones they bring out will be at the top....

Wooooow! I just shed a lone tear my friend
I have to say. I loved the note 7 and was heart broken that I had to return it. This phone has all the features the note 7 had and then some. I'm really loving it. The only problem is the position of the finger print scanner. Other than that it's the best Smart phone I've ever owned.

Completely agree with other posters here, everything except the fingerprint scanner location is perfect. I'm using face unlock, which is really not as unsafe as some videos show. I tried to take a picture from a perfect angle and hold it in front of the phone in all kinds of different angles, and it never unlocked once. I actually believe that YouTubers who did videos on how you can unlock the phone with a picture used trickery to make it look like a picture unlocked the phone, since in some of their videos you can see their head shadow hovering over the phone. The phone could scan their faces from further away in an area cropped out of view on the video, and videos exposing Samsung are sure to make waves around the web
Everything about hardware and software is as perfect as it can be, the black model really does feel like a black slab of glass with a massive display, the dream of Steve Jobs realized before Apple. People who complain about the RAM amount being "only" 4GB have never used the phone, apps from 8 hours ago are most of the time still open in the background. It is great futureproofing to have more RAM, but right now, phones with 6GB almost never even use the extra 2GB, because there is simply no need for it at this day and time
Benchmarking to see performance is kind of dumb and unpredictable, I think that a better way of describing the S8 performance is that not a single game I've tested (over 20 and counting) has had an FPS below 30 on max settings. Not a single complaint about the entire phone, the fingerprint scanner location is a non-issue for me, because I don't use it. I would honestly give this phone a 9.5 / 10 rating, only bad side being that to unlock the phone in dark I have to reach for the scanner
It's an exciting thrill ride! Enjoy it and XDA
Great phone! I have no issues with the fingerprint scanner placement. Just takes getting use too.

Same it's fast and easy plus the way I grip the phone is on base(middle) all I do is slide it til I feel the first thing... but I'm a righty so it might be easier for me
