My WiFi seems to cut off for a few seconds and then turns back on. It does this throughout the day, every day. My router and internet are fine, I just checked.
So does anyone have a suggestion? I'm not sure what to do here. My settings all appear correct..

Stock.
I think I figured it out though... I had that WiFi battery optimization option on. Turned it off and all seems good now.

So here is the situation. before i use wifi tethering, I can connect to my bome network. After i run the wifi router app, and turn it off, I can no longer connect to my home network. It finds the network fine. tried disabling router password too. It just continues to try to connect but never does. Only fix I can find for this is to perform a hard reset. I hate doing that.
Ok i had the same problem wifi already finds the network but cannot make connection and how much you trying its getting worse. I don't have my own network and hard reset didn't work. I think it happened because in the registry the phone cannot refresh the information that fast. Try to don't use wifi some time, few days that's worked for me and if someone knows what the problem is, help us!

same problem here. I´m using a vodafone-stock-rom. It has never been different.
But you do not need to go through a hard-reset. If you trigger wifi manually, everything will work again without problems (settings, more, connections, wlan). If you don not want to go this way, just start your phone again (soft reset) and everything will be fine too.
Ill try that. but a soft reset does not solve my issue

I told you, wait some time and don't try to connect more and more that's wrong
I'm curious to know if I'm the only one with this issue. I haven't been able to pinpoint it, but it seems like after every reboot I have to go back into the brightness settings and enable "auto brightness" again.
Anyone else seeing this?

Hmm. Well that just made my issue suck that much more. Lmao.
No big deal, hopefully I won't be rebooting that often.

yeah that or hope someone else had the same issue and fixed it somehow
Possible Solution?
I was having the same issue, I switched on and off auto-brightness, turned off the phone, pulled the battery, turned on the phone, switched auto-brightness on and restarted the phone. After all that, auto-brightness is working correctly. I hope this helps.

I'll probably try that next time I run into the issue. When auto is on it works well.
Sorry for the late reply, I have this exact issue too. Annoys the **** out of me.

Well that's three of us. Hate the issue, but doesn't it feel better when you know you're not retarded and the issue really does exist?
I have been having this issue at well. It appears to happen at random!
I've heard that the auto-brightness bug happens when your phone goes into power-saver mode. It turns off auto-brightness, but then doesn't turn it back on once you've recharged.
Not positive this is the cause, but it seems logical - I'll have to keep an eye out the next time I let my battery run low...
I've noticed that more often than not, the phone fails to switch autobrightness back on after exiting the camera app.
Happens to me too. I never really pay attention enough to notice when it occurs.
Hello guys,
Not sure what's going on but my battery stats show that my wifi is draining most of the batter even when I have it off the whole time. Any ideas where I should look first?

Correct. I think it is mainly used when you use battery saving mode for the location.

your carrier probably doesn't support Automatic date/time, use clocksync from the playstore.

I don't think so, I never had this problem with other devices. my N5 just came normal after a restart, I think it's the problem of yhe OS that has some bugs...

To piggy back off of LordOfAngels,
Do you have Automatic Date & Time turned on? You can check this by going into Settings -> Date & Time.
Make sure you also have Automatic time zone turned on as well.
If that doesn't work, try reconnecting to your carrier's network.
in Settings under "Wireless & Networks" tap More. Then tap Mobile Networks -> Network Operators
Wait for it to load and select your carrier. That should sort you out.
If the above doesn't work, try reflashing whatever ROM you're on. If you're on Stock, you might want to bring your device in a carrier's store because that should not be happening if you have automatic date & time and you haven't altered your phones firmware.

Everything just came back after a normal restart. I find out that this device has to be restarted once a day, or it does perform abnormal, like the battery lasts faster and make some heat, the dial pad does not show up right, sometimes a call coming in and i find no way to answer it ... looking for an update soon...

No. I just made a factory reset, it took almost 30 minutes for the erasing process, I thought it would become brick.

Are you plugged in most of the time by chance?
Live in a fairly warm climate even?
