Does the region lock on a new phone begin at startup or later? I bought a S7 international dual sim phone. Or does the dual sim phones not even have the region lock at all?

I bought the phone from europe but I'm in Turkey right now and no one nearby has a european sim card. is there another way to remove region lock?
I dthe gun and ordered a galaxy s7 that came in quick and I was excited ( ordered on ebay ) It turned out to be on the Tracphone network. Also cdma and cdma lite.
Phone model is G930vl
It has a sim slot and I installed my carriers sim.
Could not read the sim as it was only aking for cdma in the settings.
My question, is there a way to unlock it , also unlocking the sim slot so it can use gsm?
I heard the bootloader is preventing root so that's a dead end I guess.
Does anybody have any experience with these ones set up for cdma, Is the radio different or is it all software ?
Kinds sucks, phone is very nice n new.

I have my dad's phone which is S6 with Vodafone UK. He needs to use here in USA. but, after sim is inserted, the phone states enter Sim unlock code....... it seems it is sim locked to Vodafone. My dad bought this phone from local market shop and did not knew it will be locked to vodafone simcard only.

I'm wanting to know if I take my SIM out my unlocked US variant, if it will work in a dual SIM variant on Verizon.
If the T-Mobile OP8 is locked, what can you use the other sim slot for? Will it only work with a second carrier if it is unlocked?
