Remove Google Play App Security - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there!
I used to install apk downloaded from the internet on my phone but since a few weeks I'm getting this error when running the apps:
"Google play is reporting that this app has not been purchased by your current Google account".
Any idea how to bypass what seems to be a new google security?
Thanks!

Only way I found is to use Lucky Patcher but this new licence check seems to be quite new.

[Q] Google Play crashes at start on chinese tablet

Hello, community! I recently bought a Chinese tablet and one of the first things I did was to install Google Play and Google Play Services via apk, I also added my Google account. The problem is that after loading for a while it says: 'The application Google Play Store has closed unexpectedly'. The amazing thing is that it pops up a notification that there are updates for my apps! Also the tablet shows up in my Google account as a device. The other applications that require Google Play services (like youtube and google now) run fine. My firmware version is 4.1.1. Also the download manager IS enabled. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

This means that you have purchased a chinese style software configuration tablet. Thanks to encouragement by ccp policies towards google, many manufacturers (would you believe i have in my hands a samsung note 8 that does the same thing!) have stripped out the play store in favor of other alternatives. For me, i am going to root and flash this tablet and forget default aoftware is even something that exists.....

How do I update Google Play Services manually?

Hi
Google Play Services suddenly started to drain my battery. 100->87%, 18 minutes SOT 2 hours standby.
I found out, that I have an outdated version of Google Play Services and I have tried Google, but can't seem to find a way to manually update it and since it don't update itself, how do I update it?
Thanks in advance
Download it from APKMirror and install using your favourite file manager

Thanks. APKMirror is a legit site? I just find it weird Google Play Services suddenly wants to get access to route my call and text messages. (New permissions from the app from APKMirror).
Download it directly from Google Play if you are concerned. I just did it this morning myself from Google Play using this process and got version 7.8.93.

APKMirror is run by Android Police, and is very much legit
I also read about a trick over on Reddit to get your phone to update Google Play Services itself. Simply load Google's Android Wear app then launching it and trying to set up will initiate the Google Play Services update since Android Wear needs version 7.8.93. Even though I downloaded it from the pay store using APK Downloader, I tried this and was able to get the phone to self update to the latest update to 7.8.95 now. Interesting trick.

Resigning APK to avoid app store updates

Hey all. Sysadmin here, no developer experience.
We have an app we received from our vendor and we have a strict release schedule, the app is also published in Google Play. In order to avoid the app from auto updating itself from Google Play we resigned the app with our own keystore.
We followed the following article among others:
https://www.xda-developers.com/stop-updates-android-application/
This worked fine earlier this year and the app was not recognized in google play. Today we received a new version for testing and I cant get this to work anymore. Ive resigned the app with a debug.keystore and a custom keystore but the app is still recognized in google play and displaying "updates available"
Anyone familiar with recent changes regarding app signing and debug keystores ? Or alternatively other ways to prevent an app from autoupdating ? We cannot disable store autoupdate because we still require other apps to be on the latest version at all times.

You didnt even need to edit files, Google Play offers the ability to disable updates for a specific app all what you need to do is:
1. In google play go to the desired app you want to disable the updates for
2.will find a three dots option on the top right side of the screen
3.press it and then uncheck "Auto-updates"

Replacing Chinese firmware with European? (Huawei Nova 2s)

Hello XDA!
I'm in China, lost my phone on the weekend and have just replaced it with an Huawei Nova 2s.
I cant stand it to be honest, but i'm committed to trying to make it work, the only way i can see this happening would be to gain access to Google Play Store and services, but as for as much as i have searched online i can not find any advice specific to my model. I have tried many methods and have made it as far as to download the three files (playstore, frameworks and services) but my phone will not pass the initial "checking info" page when i comes to signing in to my google account. (I didn't realize the phone was such a recent release, and has only been released in China so far).
Is it possible to remove the chinese software/firmware all together and install a european version, from a slightly older Nova model?
Would rooting help me in this situation?
Any advice is appreciated,
DylanJ
Hi,
I have exactly the same problem. I have bought it on china and only realized that the chineese firmware is the only one. The in build Hiapp is total crap, it does not allow you to register without chineese mobile number, and does not allow change region. Did you manage to run Play market anyhow? I have installed but it does not run and does not say anything. Rooting might prevent future update.... So I am also interested to make it free world fashion functioning.

How can replacing chinese firmware with european for huawei nova 2 s
Have you guys had any luck?
I got the Huawei Nova 2s in China Last December, not realising it would be China Exclusive at the time. As soon as i left China, I searched it up immedietly but couldnt find anything on this model so i just followed other articles and threads and stuff. I ended up installing the following:
Google play store, Google play services, Google play services for instant apps, Google Accounts manager, Google Services Franeworks (and a GMS with a GMS installer before all those idk if that made any difference other than adding a Google tab in settings but that had nothing important).
After doing so i could FINALLY open google play store..
BUT
it was stuck on a checking info loop T^T
then i decided to go on google and just search to the latest versions of the things i downloaded. apparrently all the websites i used provided doenloads that werent the latest version so i deleted all of them and installed the updated apks.
after doing so i got something i thought i would nev get....
A notification from google play services telling me to update it in the play store. So i clicked on it and waited on play store...
And then...
It happened...
IT WORKED
I COULDNT BELEIVE IT
i downloaded all the apps that u would need ( youtube i downloaded from an apk ;P but i updated it on the play store and i logged in on youtube which logged me in on play store)
*BUT*
After a week or so it stopped working again.
I went on youtube an it wouldnt load.
I went on the play store and it wouldnt load
I went on google chrome an it wouldnt load
I was so sad and i did the stupid thing of deleting everything and reinstalling it
now every 2-4 seconds i get a notification from play services
and you might be thinking "But i thought u said that was good!"
It was when it worked.
I clicked on it the first time after reinstalling and google play store wouldnt load so I just gave up.
but like i said i recieve notifications every 2-4 seconds. It was really annoying and eventually i just blocked it from sending notifications.
I think the problem with why it didn't work again was because if you go to:
Settings then "User & Accounts"
I have a tab that says "Google"
and when i click on it it has the accounts i logged in on.
The reason why I think this is a problem is because it is already logged in and the app wants me to log in.
I have tried to remove the accounts but it didn't work for some reason.
(BTW i installed all the different things after reading MANY posts and articles and stuff, Google accounts manager being the last one i installed i think.)
Also keep in mind that this was all in the period of January and February.
Eventually i just gave up.
Hi,
I have the same problem...Anything new about it?
Any luck on this one?
I just noticed something bad, that the Google Play did not with the latest EMUI at all.
I tried GoInstaller, GMS Installer, Google Installer, but none of them worked.

Hello, I just had the same problem as mentioned earlier, and I was able to solve it by first intalling GMS with the installer, and then downloading the latest Google Play services from apkmirror.

This works very well! Thank you!
Hey there,
really seems to be a problem of non-Chinese people to be tricked into the Nova 2s XD
I have the same problem, coming from Austria. Is there any possibility to use an international ROM of e.g. the Nova 2 on it? I am really going nuts with all the Chinese system messages. Google Play works but I am still having some issues and the Huawei Apps are mostly not usable without any Chinese language knowledge.

Apps showing as not updated from Google play

Hello and sorry if this was already discussed but I could not find it.
After updating my Samsung s21 ultra to Android 12 some of the apps have stopped working and I get a message that those were not installed from Google play and do not run, I get a link to Google play in the app and it shows as installed.
I tried all the workarounds I found on the net, deleting data from Google services, Google pla store, removing updated from play store, removing and adding the Google account and nothing worked.
Anyone with the same problem and any help how this can be solved without a factory reset?
Many thanks
The message you get is triggered by Google Play Protect.

Hi, thanks, I went through this topic and the strangest thing is that I cannot put play protect on, the button is Grey and I cannot activate it, do you have any idea why it happens and how I can put it working?
