Yes it is. If I will get a permit from the author of this method I will post it here, on XDA.
P.S. Permit is gained, I will post the instruction in section "Lenovo P2 Guides, News, & Discussion" as soon as I can.

[CLOSED][testers needed] Kernel development

EDIT : 3 July 2014
Kernel Thread is now Open !
Hi Guys
I've been working on the Xperia C kernel for some weeks now.
( I don't own this device)
-Fixed several build errors by now.
What I need:
- Testers, that own the unlocked boot loader, and have CWM installed.
Reply in this thread, if you wish to test my kernel beta builds, don't PM me please, I already receive a lot of daily PMs.
In an couple weeks ( hope ) the first public build will be sent to testers.
Regards

@superdragonpt I have some doubts here but before I post them here I just want to clarify that I'm in no way questioning your work...
So here's my doubt
As we know that Xperia C's bootloader is locked and cannot be unlocked. So from where does a custom kernel come in? You can't flash a kernel unless and until the bootloader is unlocked. How would people flash your kernel...? I hope you're getting what I'm trying to ask...

From what I gather some xperia C units came with an unlock bootloader, meaning we can flash an boot.IMG.
There's more info about this on this sub forum.
That's why I posted the mandatory requirements of having :
Cwm
Unlocked boot loader

No offence dude, but that is one of the most retarded question I've read yet.
Why do you have a petition-signature regarding unlocking bootloader if you dont know if its unlocked or not :silly:
Very few people take the time to go through the forum and its threads and ACTUALLY read the information. And they go spamming basic questions instead of clicking a few clicks and getting the relevant information themselves.
Regarding your question-----
dial *#*#7378423#*#*
check the service info, then configuraion,
Check the rooting status

Is it with the link in the Original post? Was it easy or is there a more simplified instruction method I will have to try it this weekend. And if that's the case hopefully there will actually be some custom material for this device

you only need to install teamviewer on the PC, I will do the rest myself, it will take 10-15 minutes of time.
There is no other way except installing the bootloader from the engineering version v35.
The loader is needed only for unlocking and installing root, tvrp.
After the unlock, the bootloader can be returned to G7, but the fastboot commands will not work.
You do not need to know Russian, with the help of a translator from Google, write me in QMS or in the mail that you want to unlock the bootloader, we will agree on the time, I will do everything myself, you will only watch the process
Sorry for my English

Wow excellent. I would love to do it over the weekend. So if i understand correctly this process involves flashing bootloader from v35 for unlocking purposes yes? You said that after unlock of the boot we can go back to stock G7 via KDZ but will loose fastboot commands however the bootloader will remain unlocked? How do we then root/flash twrp to device once going back to stock? What is the best way to reach you for chat?

TWRP for S10e Snapdragon? Is this root?

I saw a thread from TWRP stating that there are support for Snapdragon variant.
https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxyS10Eqcom.html
Does this mean it is rootable?
The following URL states about rooting Snapdragon variant too...
https://www.idroidspace.com/how-to-root-galaxy-s10-xda-reddit/
no. US snapdragon variants are all bootloader locked. you need an unlocked bootloader to root the phone or to flash any custom recovery/rom.
It is now possible

It's a paid service by afaneh92. Paid services and advertising isn't endorsed on XDA, but the thread for it somehow was allowed. You can find it pretty easily when looking around, I won't risk linking it.
I really wish unlocking the bootloader was easy to do on our own!

It seems OEM Unlocking is NOT GREY OUT anymore.
Is OEM unlocking safely possible to do like any phone (Oneplus ... etc) or do we need Xiaomi timing permission?

Actually, no brand shares the official method for rooting the phone.
The rooting phone is commonly done by dev or advanced user. That's why I wonder if the rooting with the common method will be in use here. Only if we had the official and standalone release for ROM. The risk will be low & the chance will be high.
