While I am trying to root my newly-received Android 4.0.4 ICS, SCH i815 model Galaxy Tab 7.7, after I apply the ClockWorkMod from my SD Card, it gives me the following error every time:
E: failed to verify whole-file signature

I've tried everything from re-downloading to formatting my SD Card.
Please Help... How can I fix this?
Install recovery from ODIN

I watched a movie and my galaxy tab is hovered, I rebooted him, but he is hovered on "SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 2 10.1" and infinitely reboots. I updated firmware with 4.0.4 to 4.1.2 through Odin, but in "Recovery" there error "failed to mount /data (invalid argument)". I returned the firmware 4.0.4, but in "recovery" other error "E:failed to verify whole-file signature. E:signature verification failed."
Help me, please and sorry for my english Thanks.
Hi guys ,
I really appreciate all the help you could do to me ,
I have a problem , that I can't install any custom rom and the error i receive is "E: failed to mount /efs (invalid argument) "
So I tried to flash the stock rom via odin after downloading it from sammobile and it did flash it but it stuck on samsong logo
tried flashing TWRP and installing Cyanogen but with no luck , stuck on cyanogen logo
tried omnirom and Gnabo , and the same problem it stuck on the logo ,
and when i go to the mount section on the custom recovery , "efs" is not mounted and it shows 0mb size
tried CWM and same problem
tried using adb while in CWM but I can't get a shell , it says file not found when using"adb shell" command
I tried re-partitioning using a "pit" from a post (not 100% sure it is for the same region but is said for n8000) and it finished successfully but still with the same problem
any ideas ?
Take it to a service center.

First of all, here is what dm-verity means (https://source.android.com/security/verifiedboot/). Where are you getting your firmware from? Download them from sammobile and flash them using odin in download mode and not recovery.
Hi Please help! I recently tried to unroot my galaxy note 5 (SM-N920C) but got an FRP lock once the device restarted. After watching some tutorials I managed to bypass the FRP lock by flashing the stock firmware, but then started getting this error (NOT REGISTERD TO NETWORK) when I tried to make a call. Now after trying different solutions to fix the network issue my device can't boot past the Samsung logo and displays (E: failed to mount / efs (invalid argument) error in the recovery mode.
I have searched for solutions but most suggest I flash TWRP via odin but that can happen since the FRP lock
is back on and my device can't boot so I cant remove my account manually. If anyone knows how to fix
this please help.
You can use odin or any software and install stable rom. This can flash stock rom. You need partition information table. You can get it from same Samsung model using adb shell.
