How can I customize it? Custom navbar app doesn't work on emui and I'm not rooted. What options do I have? I just want to space the soft keys out a little
I didn't find anything that don't require root
Try themes manager for huawei in playstore .great app for customization

Why are there no mods to customise the navigation bar already?
I'm missing the AOKP features... no ROM offers customisation on the Navigation bar... what a shame.
I would like to change the height and rearrange the buttons and also add a menu and search button...

XBlast Tools has an option for it as of 1.6.7
You'll need Xposed Installer for the framework, an you'll be able to download xblast from the modules menu
Can i change the navigation bar style of Nexus5? like the sense or timescape. the floating buttons are more detailed and classy there. any way to get it?

Have you looked in the Apps & Themes section or tried Xposed framework and its modules like Xblast or GravityBox KK.
Zip themer works well.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to change the way the NavBar looks on 5.0.2. I was able to do it on 4.4.4 using Xperia/AOSP NavBar buttons module for Xposed, but it doesn't seem to work for the replacement icons anymore.
Yes it's possible, check the themes in the play store. No root required either.
for example is there a xposed module or any other way to pin an app (calculator, alarm, ...etc) to the navigation bar for quick access. I am using the Lg G4 with rooted android 6.0 marshmallow.

Try this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rootuninstaller.taskbarw8
It doesn't add it to the nav bar, but it might be is interest to you.
Edit: Xtended Navbar is an xposed module that can probably do what you're asking. Check the repository.
Apologies if wrong forum.
Without rooting my phone, is there any possible way to swap navigation bar buttons around and/or auto hide the navigation bar?
Any 3rd party apps or adb scripts/commands?
Thanks
PS. ignore my signature. I'm using android 9 on Pixel 2.
I use lmt launcher. Search for it in xda. Not sure if you need root for all the features but you could give it a try. It doesn't hide the stock NAV bar. You need to edit the build prop for that.
