Mx Player Android Head Unit MTCD PX5 Sound Bug - MX Player
Firstly i'm using lots of different music and video players and i only encounter this problem on Mx Player.
Problem is when i'm watching some video and i press 'Next' or 'Prev' buttons on the steering wheel it changes to next or previous video but at the same time it shows a soundbar and changes it's value. For example while 'Next' button decreases that soundbar 'Prev' button increases it's value. Strange thing is that soundbar doesnt effect system sound. I mean the soundbar shows when i use volume Up or down buttons. It effects Poweramp's volume bar.
In any other media player, "Next" and "Prev" buttons on my steering wheel only changes the song or video. Not volume bar.
I tried every combination of settings but couldn't solve this.
Any recommendations?

MX Player responds to the standard android key events. If it receives the volume up command, it will increase the volume. If it receives the Next command, It will play the next video.
Immediately after reproducing the issue, Can you collect a bug report from MX Player help menu and share here?

[Q] Headphone Volume + Track Inputs?
Please forgive me if this has been answered before, my searches have not resulted in the answer I seek. I'm seeking to create a remote control for changing tracks while using my Galaxy S2 in the car, so that I don't have to pick up the phone and take my eyes off the road to skip songs. On my S2 and Note 10.1, the Samsung headphones have three controls: play/pause, volume up and volume down. There's no discrete button(s) for track control (NEXT / PREV) but I see that such controls do exist. This is what I've found for track control: wisebread.com/build-a-cable-to-control-your-android-phone-while-you-drive but I've found no similar schematics for volume control. In testing, it seems my Samsung remote uses 50, 200 and 440 Ohms for play, V+ and V-. I'm guessing then that this is the standard for inputs, and how it's handled is device specific. My question is: do headset controls for Samsung devices exist that have buttons for track control, or do they all require double/triple-tapping the play/pause button? Or am I correct in assuming it's one or the other, using the same resistance on the buttons, with the actual function being device dependent? tl;dr - Are there headphone remotes with volume control AND track control?

It doesn't answer the question, but gives me an alternative solution to the problem. =) And yeah, I love PowerAmp. I didn't know it had this feature, though I've been using it for a couple of years. Thanks!
[Feature Request] Key Up/Down Action
In >Settings >Controls >Key Up/Down Action the 2 options are change sound volume or change brightness. Would be nice to have a third option to do nothing or disable any function from happening when up/down is pressed during playback. I've used MX for years and find the volume is accidentally set below max quite often. Thanks for reading!
Just realized there is a recent post about this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/mx-player/ui-ux-tweaks-to-make-mx-player-perfect-t3940592 I agree with OathYvne and wanted to also mention that navigating up from bottom control buttons/progress bar will highlight the video (or an invisible button) causing an extra keystroke. Best android player by far!
Is it possible to invert previous / forward buttons?
I use MX Player to listen audio like audiobooks and podscasts 90% of the time and I rewind a lot but for example with the galaxy buds and with a lot of headphones/earbuds is: 2 taps = next 3 taps = previous I have in settings the option "Treat Next/Prev media buttons as FF/Rew button." checked but 99% of the time I want to go back but they register only two taps and go forward Would there be a way to invert those actions with MX Player so its 2 taps for rewind and 3 taps for forward?
Changing music app/button association
Running an avant4 avinusa bmw e39 unit, Android 9.0. Probably a faq: I’ve installed power amp, and want that to launch instead of the stock music player when hitting the music button. Power amp is working ok. Don’t see a way to add new actions in button key study factory settings. Don’t see a way to over-ride the behavior of the existing music action listed in the button key study. Beyond that question, seems the builtin music app needs to be left running (background) in order for steering wheel button presses to trigger track forward/etc in power amp. How to fix to no longer need the default music app?
Fiio Bluetooth DAC, MX player doesn't respond to buttons
As above, the play/pause and back forward buttons don't respond. I have to go to settings and toggle the Player>Media Buttons option. It then works for a while then stops again when shuffle is selected which is a pain. Seems only to be an issue with MX, works perfectly on Poweramp, Spotify etc. Thanks
