Hello
I bought an s6 on ebay a few days ago (live demo unit) & under system settings it says model number is SM-G920X "no official/custom firmwares/roms for this model so far" but when i went into recovery menu (vol up+home+power) it said it was a LRX22G.G920IDVU1AOC6 model. The G920i got my attention though since demo units don't normally have any letters other than an x "I might be wrong here though" it also has a sim slot that does open and i can see a circut board in there.
Is this a real demo unit or retail unit with the demo firmware running on it? and if the later which firmware should i use?
Thanks for any help

Just go to Sammobile and find the SM-G920i firmware for your country. Its just a standard SM-G920i with demo software. Download the one thats for your country and flash via Odin 10

Hi, I tried afew with the same code as mine (G920IDVU1AOC6) (europe region) but it keeped failing, it did show up in odin3 v3.10.6 also tried in an older version of odin same problem. I do have the proper drivers for it as it shows up in light blue so i'm not sure what to do with it now, it still works but i'd like to install a custom rom or retail one if i could.
Thanks for the help
Hi,
I have the same isue : I tried many firmware from Sammobile but none worked....
I have root with CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltedv-smg920i but can't install TWRP or Clockwork recovery...still stock one is present...
If someone could help...
Thank
I recently got a Galaxy S6 for free as a replacement after my LG G4 bootlooped, and I'm having trouble figuring out the actual model so I can update it to a later firmware (currently 5.1.1) and change regions if possible. Since it's a grey import it says it's a SM-G920F on the back of the phone. It also says this in settings/about phone. But when I downloaded the Sammobile app it says the model number is SM-G920P. Surely that's incorrect?
Also, I can't seem to search for updates like on my other (locally bought in Australia) Galaxy S6 edge+. There's no option in settings to look for an update. How is that possible?
All I want to do is change the firmware to my local region (Australia) or something similar, but I have no idea what firmware to download. Can someone please help me? I'm so confused.
download, install and run Smart Switch, go to emergency initialization (you have tutorial I created, so you can chek posts created by me and find it there) with your sn, it will tell you what model it is and which is latest fw for that model.
It can also dowload and install it on your phone if you complete the process.
Just unrooted my phone using Supersu but now i'm stuck in a bootloop all i can access in twrp and odin download mode
I'm trying to install stock rom but dont know which one to download
All i know so far is that my S6edge+ is SM-G928F which i bought from Bestbuy mobile in the U.S.A my service provider is sprint
When i try looking for a stock rom for SM-G928F it says that its European unlocked which confuses me since i bought the phone from bestbuy in the US
i need help picking the right stock rom for my phone I also know my MEID number from download mode if thats relevant
Hi !
It is important to know which variant you have , if it`s an european version then you must download and flash the specific firmware.
You can check on the box if available and also when booting into bootloader

Good luck !
Hello,
I'm trying to fix my soft bricked phone with this error (no quotes):
"dm-verity verifiation failed..."
I've already soft and factory reset the phone to no avail, as it still will not boot past the Samsung logo. Googling the problem has told me that flashing the original firmware with Odin should fix it, but after hours of searching I still cannot determine what firmware I need to download and use. Reading some of the threads here supposedly i can use firmware that shares my carrier and country but I cannot find the correct combination on any site.
Country: US
Phone: S7 (G930F) - On the recovery mode screen the full designation is G930FXXU1BPH6
Carrier: T-Mobile
Version 6.0.1
Does anyone know exactly where I can find useable firmware for the phone? Everything I see online (like sammobile for example) just has the firmwares for other countries.
Before the bootlock my phone was rooted if it matters.

The G930F is a primarily European device, so a different region than the US.
The firmware version you have provided is an old version of Marshmallow on T Mobile Poland. The fact that it's Poland doesn't really matter it's still EU region.
Now heres the important part....T Mobile in Europe do not use all of the same bands as T Mobile US so although you can flash any firmware for Europe your phone will not work 100% in the US
So first of all flash with either a nougat firmware for United Kingdom T Mobile or Untied Kingdom nougat undranded (BTU). From Sammobile.
I don't advise going straight to Oreo because there may be a fix for older nougat firmware from EU region to work perfectly in US. Once you upgrade firmware you cannot downgrade.
Once your phone is up and running you just need to look on the forum of how to get a G930F device working perfect on US networks.
