Does anyone how to take off the charging port and replace it with a new one? - Blu Pure XL

I can not charge my phone due to the charging port not working does anyone know how to fix it or know somewhere where that I can buy a replacement?

aliexpress.com should still have them. the clone gionee e8 on there may also have the right ones but without a vibrate motor. did it myself fairly easily. have to remove the screws, take the 3 cover panels off as they overlap each other and then the vibrate motor is glued to the frame, pry it off carefully, remove the daughterboard and put in the new one which probably wont have a vibrate motor. those wires are too small for me to feel ok with soldering so i have mine without vibrate capability.

I had same problem nothing would charge battery, finding anyone to fix USB port was not happening it was like a hell especially a tech called me on Sat afternoon said he'll fix it drop it off by 4 pic up by 6:30 pm I asked if he had the charging port he said yes it's an easy fix.
I didn't feel like this was a good move only because of warranty I would have repaired it but it was a weekend no one at Blu Corp.& I needed my phone after returning to phone store I waited for someone to come out so I could pay and leave, the look on the guy's face I knew something happened as he tells me the tech couldn't fix it, so I asked why did he call me to drop my phone off if couldn't do it. He said he had the part and it's an easy fix..1 month later after battery warranty expired I opened it up and the charging port fell to the floor that dude resoldered all the tracks off the board he screwed it up so bad no one wanted to fix it. But I decided to find a way to resolve this problem that everyone has been going through and since I couldn't salvage my phone, I researched the wireless devices I called Qi Corp. Talked to person with best knowledge of their products, called Blu Corp asked if wireless devices worked on their phones using receiver lady said no. Turns out they never tried I was so bent over what happened and hearing more stories of people like yourself I found away to charge that phone I bought the Qi ( Chee) receiver (B) and bought the wireless charger that has a USB type connection a fast charger type and regular as if wall plug..It worked I love the charger the receiver I leave connected in charging port and using the gel type case it's like a thin coat enough to charge the battery and my current Blu Pure is not my old phone repaired I only paid $130.00 barley used made sure the battery could be charged and it's working perfectly...I leave receiver connected so whatever damaged the charging port wasn't going to do it on this phone...
I have told many Companies that wireless receiver and chargers work BLU was the only Company that wasn't thrilled about it...
Make sure you get it in writing if you find a tech to help fix your phone..GOOD LUCK

[Q]Where to find replacement parts?

My droid charge has made itself essentially useless in the last two weeks as the USB port no longer functions and I cannot charge it.
I had purchased the verizon inductive battery door and a powermat and discovered that they aren't compatible. I had heard the Energizer mat was compatible with the verizon door but I haven't had a chance to look into buying one yet- nor do I really want to spend 40+$ just to charge my phone.. Especially since I've already wasted $24 on a powermat that does me no good.
Thus I've determined that I'd like replace the usb charging port on the phone itself. I have 2 friends that work at sprint stores that repair these types of things all the time, and I'm pretty good at electronics stuff like that myself (having fixed multiple blackberries I used to have).
My question is, where can I find a replacement part for this particular phone? I haven't bought a replacement part for a phone in some years, and google searches aren't coming up with any good results. Ebay also doesn't have anything besides screens.. When all I need is a charging port.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated. I'm doing a lot of business traveling lately and I feel seriously crippled not having my cellphone to even make basic phone calls.
Is the USB connector physically damaged? It may be the circuitry that's behind it, in which case the repair process could be way more difficult, unless the Charge has a separate board that handles the charging function.
Does the USB port work for data connection when you connect it to a computer?
Might be easier to buy the desk cradle that comes with a spare battery and a battery charging slot. I hardly ever plug in my phone anymore. I simply replace the battery with a fully charged one.
The USB port is integrated into the board if I remember right-you're SOL unless you are somehow magical at de/resoldering. Other than that, I would assume you could just buy any microusb port and throw it on as long as that port has no bracket or anything (and that you connect the right leads).

My usb connecton is crap too, always have to jiggle it n one ot finally connects i cant move it or it will lose connection. But i really only plug it in to use odin. My suggestion would be to snag a wall mount battery charger and an extra battery. Go to ebay, they r dirt cheap.

Battery suddenly dead on both dock and tablet

Until yesterday, my TF700 was working perfectly fine, but now I'm concerned as the battery in both the dock and the tablet have stopped working.
The AC adaptor's connected to the dock and I always charged both the tablet and the dock together for the most part.
I went to check the device this morning and suddenly found that they're not working at all.
Yesterday evening, I tried switching on the tablet and it would switch on and reach the ASUS screen, but not fully boot up.
I bought it from Amazon's Amazon Warehouse division and I have until the 31st to return this, but in the meantime, I'd like to know why the batteries have died on me suddenly and is there anything I can do about it.

If it's a genuine hardware failure, you'd have to return -- unless you're very proficient at handling and replacing sensitive electronics yourself (microwelding, for example).
It has been reported before, and could be fixe din almost every case by letting the 700 be dead for at least an hour, and then let it fully charge while off (!) -- just let it sit hoked up to the wall charger for at least 8 hours. Then try to turn it on again.
Good luck.

I'll give that advice of yours a try especially as I don't want to have to return it if it's something that can be easily sorted out.

It never hurts trying -- you aren't exactly the first to describe this, but luckily, pretty much all of the others were saved.
I finally managed to get the problem sorted out as it seems that the connection to the port on the keyboard had somehow come a bit loose without me noticing it.
Unfortunately, I have a new problem in that the cable itself seems to have died in that it won't work any more with the adapter as it started crackling a bit when I knocked the connector attached to the AC adaptor itself gently by accident. :crying:

Well, I hope I am right in assuming this is not your luckiest week, huh? Is the cable damaged near the wall charging part? (That's what I understand.) The replacement cables probably are not that expensive, so I'd plonk down on a new one instead of initiating "daredevil repair mode".
Saying that gives me that MacGyver feeling. Duct tape and a pair of scissors would be all that he needs to fix this.
Oh, and maybe a pair of toothpicks and an old sock, just for looks.

The cable itself is fine (it's not worn down to the wire literally like a lot of cables and AC adapters you get for devices like iPods and Galaxy S II's), it's just that it has this weird burnt-like smell at the end connector that plus into the USB socket on the AC adaptor.
As for replacement cables, I'm surprised that they're not that easy to buy offline.

Agreed -- buying them offline is a definite hassle. I have seen them online, though, and you can even hunt down the charger parts or the TF101 and TF201 Prime. They will work flawlessly.
BTW and FWIW (gotta love acronyms), my charging cable smells a bit funny at the end too. This specific one has to put through a lot of power, so I'm not even that surprised.

In all seriousness though, I love my TF700, it's just a shame that it's such a pain in the ass (not literally!) to buy official accessories in the shops and it's not as if you can buy a USB cable for it in the shops unlike ones for the iPod, iPad and iPhone.

No, it's a definite PITA
-- I had hoped that the new EU rulings concerning all smartphones needing to provide a microUSB charging input would extend to tablts, but so far this has not been the case, unfortunately.

Just giving you guys a update concerning my device: It seems now that both batteries don't want to work any more for some reason or other as of yesterday. I've checked both the official USB cable and a third-party cable plugged into the official USB plug and they're not charging up the device at all.
The tablet can connect to my laptop as a media device without any problems, but I'm confused as to why it's not working at all when plugged into a USB adapter.
In any case, I'm going to order a AC adapter from eBay later today and see if that works or not.

[Q] Phone won't charge without USB cord being held in certain position

I went to charge my phone today but all of a sudden I couldn't just plug it in and have it charge like I normally do. I have to pull my cord toward the front of my phone to get it to charge and I have to leave it like that. I thought it might be a bent connector since I have to force the contact points together, but I don't want to risk anything. I know its not the cord as I have tried 3 different ones and I have used both a computer and a AC adapter to attempt to charge it.
Can I buy a replacement charging port or could it be something else?
Thanks,

As our phones age, this can become a problem. A few months ago, same thing happened to my phone. I called T-Mobile and asked if the charging ports could be repaired. The bad news is that (according to T-Mobile), they can't be repaired economically. The good news is that they'll send you a replacement phone at no charge.
Mobiletechvideo fixed mine for $35.

Hm well that's unfortunate. I forgot to mention that I'm with wind. They charge for warranty repair after 1 year from original purchase date. I'm going to try to go to a warranty center to see how much it is.

Charger?

I've googled every variation of this question and I get bs lol, so maybe a smart human being can help me. The gs5 has two slots on the charging port. I've been using the charger that came with it. I don't know micro usb? Anyways it plugs into the right side. My child pulled the charger out to hard and busted the ride side. The whole pin thing came out in the charger. It just won't work anymore. I noticed a slightly smaller one on the left side. Can I go to walmart and find a charger small enough and charge it from the left side? My girl friends charger is the double one that fits into both holes at the same time, but doesn't charge it. Just curious if I can buy the single one, and charge from the left side. Called sprint and they said go to a sprint repair, but the closest sprint repair is 57 miles away, and they only do minor work there. Plus I rooted my phone so I'm pretty sure my warranty is voided now. Can't even flash phone to stock.
Long story short. Can I buy a charger that only fits the left side and charge my phone? Sorry for back and forth confusion. Just at my wits end here.

Unfortunately, no. The S5's charging port is on the right side. The left port is for USB 3.0. You could look into wireless charging as an option.
You can buy a second battery with charging cradle and swap out batteries when one is depleted. Otherwise, repair is needed. Sprint won't care about the phone being rooted because this is damage not software related. Do you have the insurance on it? If you do, Sprint my swap it out for free, or make you go through Assurion and pay the deductible.
Hey thanks guys for the answers, and the charging cradle? Hmm. Went to wal mart hey had no wireless charging options.

XZ3 Magnetic Charging Port Problem

Just wanna ask about my problem/trouble with my XZ3s magnetic charging port.
Since I bought my phone, I charge it through the micro usb port. Knowing that frequent opening of the flaps may lead to compromising the waterproofing of the device, I planned to utilize the magnetic charging port of the ZX3.
I bought a WSKEN Magnetic Charging Cable the other day. I tried it with my XZ3 and found it hard to use. I have to tilt it a bit on the side to make it work. At first I thought the problem was the WSKEN Magnetic Charging Cable. I went back to the store where I bought it from and asked for a replacement. After testing it, the problem was still the same.
Yesterday, I tried the WSKEN Magnetic Charging Cable I bought with my office mate's Z3 phone. It was a perfect fit and without any problems!
Today, I tried 2 different magnetic chargers and experienced the same. It needs to be tilted to work.
I find it very frustrating since this is only a 1-month old phone.
Now I went to a Sony expert friend and enlightened me that this is a real rare case in XZ3s that happens to very few XZ3 units. He showed me that by pressing beside the magnetic charging port makes it normal. He explained that there is a clearance with the contact points inside the unit. He advised me to bring it to Sony Service Center which I'm already decided to do.
Now, may I inquire on how much will it cost me for the repair of this kind of problem with my beloved XZ3?
I hope I receive a positive response.
Thank you.
I am having a similar issue. Magnetic charging port doesn't connect well with charging cable or dock, I have to wiggle it forever until it gets proper contact.. My wife's identical phone works well. It really pisses me off because I am forced to use the USB port to charge my phone most of the time. I'm not going to take it to service center though, not only it will most likely cost quite a bit to fix, I don't trust just any technician to put my phone back together properly maintaining water resistance. I've read some horror stories from one guy killing a bunch of phones right in service center because they were no longer water resistant.
I wish there was a simple fix for this issue without taking a phone apart...
