Not making sense, why can't you just flash the stock firmware?

His or her phone might be bricked. That's why.

all flashes of stock firmware for me fail with sw rev check fail fused 3 binary 1. the phone updated once out of the box and activated. so the older image won't reflash due to the updated security policy.

Uploading QI2 update now. Give it a bit...big file.

Samsung Kies
Normally, you should just be able to put it into download mode and use Samsung Kies 3 to restore.
Once you have the Phone in download mode and Kies 3 installed, Launch Kies and then go to Tools>Emergency Firmware Recovery and you should be good to go...
It'll probably be the QJ3 Update though, I don't have Boost.
That's my 2 cents on getting the latest official firmware.

Not only that the security policy got updated, the bootloader gets updated as well... Especially when going through major versions of Android.
That's Samsung for you...

That is a suspicious update. Small updates claiming to be 'Security' updates that include a revision change to the bootloader often turn out to be locked bootloaders with no way back.
I'd be wary.
Maybe a little more info on the state of the non booting device?

I am assuming that Samsung Kies did not work?

Negative - z3x team.
It might not be the newest, but it should work on the current bootloader, despite the security update patch and then you can update via OTA.

Try this: https://mega.nz/#!1bBXka6S!d9yPvpy7kg4D1PUcGDMDSMGljryB7xcAFWuz9udtQCA
You'll need Odin to flash it though.

It usually would. Only major versions of Android affect the boot loader I believe...

this was the magic one. QJ3 is the update that stops from downgrading the bootloader, seemingly also the newest (you'll have to confirm this for me) from boost, as when i got the new one this file here is what it wanted to update to as in the screenshot(i let it) it's still flashable with twp and rootable, **** yeah! so let me toss you something for your troubles.
UPDATE: flashed fine. wifi works now. **** yeah.
i'll gladly host this elesewhere as well, ( i have 5 servers i do nothing with, why not... (now to learn to make roms)

Just root it and flash any custom rom you want based on newest firmware. No point updating with 4.3 around the corner. And why update to locked bootloader if you can run a latest custom with old bootloader.
Sorry to bump this, just wondering is upgrading the baseband bring anything extra ? or it is useless and better keep old unlocked bootloader baseband and Rom based on new firmware ?
Thank u for share this rom

I'm still waiting to see people reporting it on other carriers. I'm sure it's just a staged rollout.
Both of my Moto X Pure Editions received notification of the Android 7 update just after lunch today. I've updated my spare phone and have been making sure there are no issues. So far, so good. I'll let my main phone update later today.
I'm in Texas and my carrier is Ting (Sprint MVNO).

Why, I feel like someone is bound to post a version of it that we can just flash via TWRP.
Not unless their bootloader is unlocked
Of course, and I just preordered my Moto G5S Plus.
What? It was $50 off and 5% off, I couldn't resist!
(now i just need to lower my unfortunately high standards for update timelyness)
The first person on stock that's rooted, when the notification comes, let it download, when it completes you'll get another notification asking to install. Do NOT. Go to /cache and the OTA zip will be there. Copy it immediately to your home folder or external sd and the upload it here ASAP!! We can all then upgrade without waiting if someone can upload the file.
Pulled SIM, rebooted, nothing. So far it looks like >80% in the Reddit thread report the same. With all we've been through, I'm not going to believe it until a lot more reports come in.
I received it today xt1575.

With Sprint SIM as well? Seems to be mainly the ones getting it.
I'm seeing more and more posts of people getting it in various outlets. I can't believe not 1 single person has root... Please rooted folks, it'll take you all of 1 min to copy the file and upload it. I'm rooted and ready to extract, but no ota notification yet.
Just got it. downloading now. Will upload ASAP.

Well, the sideload worked, but not without a data problem. I couldn't boot until I did a factory reset. After that, it booted up and it seems that Beta 3 installed fine. I've reinstalled all my apps and re-rooted with Magisk. All seems good now.
I have seen others reporting no issues with the sideload though. I did flash the stock boot image to unroot before I tried the sideload though. Not sure if that messed it up. I'd say just back up your data and go for it.

Did you flash just the AP from the new firmware ? Or did you have the boatloader and the csc and cp too? Flash everything. You need all the things not just AP. And also. Before you flash anything else. Try to flash magisk.

That error is telling us that your boot image is not stock so that means you need to flash the bootloader for your firmware along with other things that come with it. AP, cp, csc,bl,userdata. Things like that. My advice, use samfirm and download it through that. If you don't know what that means. I won't bother lol[emoji23][emoji23]

As far as iknow the brazilian model is G9650 and this is for G965U/U1 so, no, you can't.
Someone can upload the beta, maybe it can be ported for G9650. Thanks

Something for g9650 snapdragon?
I registered and 5 minutes later the update was ready for me to download. I installed it and everything seems fine except WiFi Calling. I'm on Verizon and it worked with the Android 9 last update, but with Beta 10 One UI 2.0 it's not functioning. I also noticed the OEM Unlock option in developer options is there but grayed out. Anybody else have WiFi calling working?
EDIT: Must have been a glitch. WiFi calling is now functioning.
Looks like I made it late to the beta. I wish Samsung could inform their beta app users on UI 2 beta as they are knowingly using testing software. Guess time to wait for a new register batch from Samsung
didn't received beta update on 965U. no notification on samsung members.
how to enroll in beta then>?
